There should be a point for takedown defense because you know a grapplers gameplan is to look for that takedown, when you defend a take down why? The most logical thing I could say to the commission is it technically is an advtange when you defend a takedown which is the whole criteria of a 10-9, which means a clear but contestable round. Clinch control should not be as impactful as it is. I’m sorry but even a decent amateur can hold someone against the fence and that’s just facts. If I get taken down my thoughts aren’t on offense, they are on defense and looking for ways to cause more stress on the muscles to create more lactic acid.

Man I’m so happy to see Jose Aldo fight again. He was one of my favorite fighters when I started watching the UFC. It’s really unfortunate how people discourage him only because of his fight with Connor.

Loving this format as I can avoid the boring grappling fights that need to be stood up after five seconds inaction rather than given credit for "ground control" that would leave you dead in a real fight.

prime aldo had insane takedown defence, kind of great stocky short build like Volk was able to stuff isling machkachim; Aldo would give khabib problems if he moved up to 55, and possibly bully him with punches to his face.
