@@alfredomunoz6954 For a fighter that debuted 20 years ago, Aldo has evolved with the sport very well. He’s still one of the Top 10 Bantamweights in the world in 2024. Of course, his body is not gonna perform as it did in his early twenties (like any professional athlete), but his fast twitch muscle fibre responses are still shockingly, blindingly fast, and his boxing IQ has grown tremendously since working with the Brazilian Navy after the Petr Yan loss. I think he’s a far more skilled fighter than he was in his prime. Where he used to hit people with brutal calf kick “dutchie” combos, now he flow checks better than anyone and counters with insane boxing combinations. @@Slim-Clips I watched all of his career from him soccer kicking guys in Rio to kneeing Rolando Perez in the WEC, to running literal circuits around Frankie Edgar. not even close... sure it had good moments but they were both holding back by the end and mostly just dancing around... there was no savage desire to win at all costs like some fights. Too much smiling and fist bumps and patting each other on the back... that's not a real hard out fight. Not even close. They put on a good show for the crowd that's all and picked up a decent paycheck each without significant career ending damage.
Chad fought McGregor better than anybody during his run to double champ. It was such a good fight he was beatin Conor up and then just got sniped by that left hand
Chad shower the blue print to bear Conor. I think Chad made the mistake of going for a finish, Chad was dominating with take downs and was sat landing elbows on McGregor almost at will for 80% of round 2, he tried to go for a submission but Connor escaped and got a great KO, but I feel if Chad just grinded out the rounds and sat on top he would’ve won decision. He already won round 1 and most of round2 with his superior wrestling skills.
Mendes did great. I just feel that he relied a bit too much on his rear uppercut. He had success with the lead jab and teep to the body (should've used it more). Also, his leg kicks were too naked. He'd do better if he faked the jab and maybe a fake cross before a leg kick or teep. Great performance from Aldo though. Good fight.
Mendes was robbed. This was such a close match. I doubt it would have been so close if not for that after the bell combination. Shots like that really do serious damage and drain considerable stamina. Yet Mendes still almost squeaked out the win.
@@elijahzamora4742 it was such a close match despite him getting damn near KO'd after the bell. Taking a hit like that takes a lot out of you, and makes it easier for subsequent shots to actually knock you out. Stand left fists, angle right when in stance with both fists to flort the left handed attacks of your opponent, then move your right leg behind your left leg when not thrown off guard, and attack the right side of your opponent, then switch and attack the left side in left stance, then switch to right handed again and attack the left again, and work on
