In tomorrow’s video, they will visit their local Sephora store to challenge themselves to create an entire skincare routine for $50 or less! With $50 to spend on a whole routine, I think that Ulta will definitely cover that much muuuch better but since Sephora poses a bigger challenge, it was fun to watch 😂

Love the concept and I think they both did a great job with the challenge of finding products someone new to skincare could incorporate into their routine and being transparent about pricing/ how long the products will last. It’s not a secret full size products are actually cheaper per ounce/ml and asking parents (especially if they’re not into skincare/ have a different skin type) to purchase $50-$100 of product to maintain your routine a month can be hard because of financial strain. Keep in mind this is just skincare if you went with the minis Fel and Ro purchased. Most teenagers tend to start investing in skincare when they start exploring makeup as well. It’s expected that higher quality ingredients come with a price tag, but I think it’s such a shame that certain groups are more negatively affected/ limited than others. There’s been a lot of negative controversy about the harmful effects of makeup wipes, so it would be great if there was clean micellar water/ oil based cleansers at the makeup wipe price point and availability! That being said I’d also love to see them try this challenge with Ulta or even with online retailers with more full size products :)

I agree with you 100%. As I was watching, I kept thinking to myself 50$ per month!? That's more than buying the full size that will last you so much longer.
so basically you can only find minis with $50 budget 😅 I think it's ok if you're a beginner to skincare and want to try or splurge a little bit
or get the ordinary/inkey list, but that was too obvious
Minis are a good place to check out new, more expensive products. I got the Glow Recipe Best Sellers kit that had 5 minis in it and it introduced me to some great products and ultimately saved me money as there were products I didn't care for in it as well. So yeah, building a whole routine with minis is not a good idea, but for trying out a product they're good.
This was great! I would definitely like to see you guys re-do this challenge at Target because it's a bit more accessible than Sephora in terms of store availability. Keep up the great content ladies!

As somebody with no ulta in their town and a Sephora only this is very helpful
Love the highlighting on how great the inkey Fulvic Acid cleanser is. It's the only cleanser that I've seen visual result from and I've tried alot. I wondered why more people talked about I probably missed the hype when it first came out but I won't be with out it . Super gentle and visual results Holy Grail status 4 me
I love the mini's at sephora because it gives you the chance to try a product without the high price tag.

In Australia we recommend using 5ml for your face, neck and ears so that sunscreen would only last three days if you used the correct amount 💀
As an Australian, I did not know that…
Edit: Just compared my sunscreen and I think it’s incorrect. I had a Pyunkang Yul 75ml sunscreen that I double layer my face with generously and put all over my body as well -> I would do this everyday and I finished around half of it in one to two months
@@bierangtamen I mean that’s what is recommended on my Cancer Council bottle but to be fair if that was the case I’d be finishing a sunscreen every ten days which is insane haha

That Glow Recipe kit looks like a great deal. I love that brand so will defo be picking that up
I got it early this year because I'd never tried Glow Recipe before and each product legit lasted me so long and I developed some absolute favorites. It's definitely worth it to test out their best sellers.

I think the challenge is very interesting. It challenges you to look beyond the brand. I know that Sephora has their own skincare line, which is also good as well. I’ve used their Ultra Glow serum with vitamin C & E, it’s good for beginner. For me, the items I would buy is Sephora Wishing You Essential Skincare Kit, Sephora Clarifying toner, and Innisfree sunscreen. I usually don’t need to wear makeup to work or on daily basis so I don’t usually double cleanse.
You can get full size products with good variety online at retailers such as stylevana. I've been shopping there almost exclusively for maybe 2 years and can't get enough of them! Shipping takes forever but that gives me plenty of time to evaluate how my routine is going and if I need to switch something out. Plus most websites like that have a rewards program for discounts and you get free samples.
I think you guys should do an ulta challenge because there’s a lot more affordable great options
I love a good double cleanse, but I actually think that you can take makeup off using two cleanses of the same cleanser from first aid beauty. It’s a fabulous cleanser, and I have to use it when I ran out of my first step, and it worked amazingly. So if you’re in a pinch and you can only afford one cleanser, go with the first aid beauty cleanser!
PS. It lasts such a long time!

Not a bad routine considering it's from Sephora. But I do agree the glow recipe's moisturizer and the sunscreen are a bit too small to last a month. I recently visited New York and discovered the Teso Life store. It seems like the have both Korean and Japanese brands at affordable prices. Can you guys do a video about Teso Life?

Sephora is so expensive. You want to try everything, I try alot of the ordinary and inkey list because it's so cheap.
Definitely would get more for $50 at somewhere like Ulta!

@@bierangtamen easy, k beauty on stylevana, it's so easy to get good products at really a good price! But I don't use toners so it's something less I spend on. I just stick to sunscreen, moisturizer and serum or essence. The only downside is that it takes so long to get the orders sometimes. But I do a large order where I get what I need for 6 months more or less and it's fine.
I would only pick The Ordinary products but for sure you can never get full size products for $50 at Sephora lol.

@@lynleymcgann5620 if you had a $50 budget you’d probably head to target or Marshall’s, ulta, Walmart etc. You’d be looking for great value for money not travel sized products at a high end store. The video is entertaining but, the word might not be unrealistic maybe impractical… 🤷♀️ my opinion.
