Bs. This is a good thing. We all indians need to learn from china. Corrupted government officials and corrupted politicians are the reason why nothing is being done in india. They are the ones eating up our tax money that's supposed to benefit the people. They ate the ones preventing the country from developing. Only if we place strict measures like this, politicians will be scared and do the good thing for the people instead of looking for their own benefit. India must also place strong laws like this.

If a minister of justice is doing just that what he should prevent, it undermines the stability of a country as a whole. Giving a very severe penalty is justified. I think that the means of "severe penalty" is of second order but should be clear enough, not only to take from him what he should not have done, but to prevent anyone at that level/position doing the same. If not strictly done, the country will turn into chaos and corruption destroying it from the inside.
