It's very hard to describe in words the feeling you get when you touch that castle wall in Leitrim village knowing you've walked in the footsteps in one of the most epic stories in Irish. You guys will love it, however, the stamps can be very hard come by.
After your first history video I can imagine it's an amazing experience - having walked 500km thinking about their trip, and then reaching the castle they were fleeing to. Looking forward to the coming videos!
I'm pretty sure if I tried this I'd be a belated addition to the number of people who died on the route... But I love the history behind it, was a really cool idea to recreate the passage
Congratulations on been mentioned in Mountain Views The Summit Magazine, I told you young people making the best of adventures would be noticed. Yes I am still walking the hills and wouldn't change a thing, we are lucky, well done
I did get the stamp visual 😁

@@ToughSoles thank you very much, yup, what's better than watching history? Living it by walking it yourself 👍.

Yeah it's pretty amazing how many trails that existed before the Beara Breifne Way were close enough to the route that they could be incorporated!

It was great to get to write for them! Going to be giving a short talk at the Mountain Views Gathering this Friday, looking forward to it!
How long is it from glengariff to gougane barra? Could it be done on 1 day
Unlikely, I hiked the Kealkill to Gougane stretch some years ago and it took 6/7hrs
Thank you very much guys
