I have had this chair for a year. There is one major issue that makes me regret the purchase. When you recline, the edge of the chair goes up, so do your heels. You end up on tippy toes and the chair pushes into the back of your knees. Other chairs do not do that. You can see the effect at 2:13
Well spotted. Interesting, this is something my wife recently commented about as well. She's been using the chair as her daily driver for the last 6 months or so. I thought that because she's a bit shorter that it was more dramatic, but it could be an issue for a wider variety of heights. I will say, I noticed that she had the seat cushion completely pushed back. If you adjust that forward the recline effect is less dramatic.
We've had this chair for about 6 months. It has held up perfectly. Ergonomically, it is excellent. The only thing that takes getting used to is that it is really high quality and your body may not be used to that if you're used to a crappy chair. But once you get used to the superior quality and better posture it allows for, you will love it. It was worth every penny.
I received my chair and I mistakenly installed the standard cylinder instead of the "tall" one that I ordered to accommodate my height better. Well now it seems near impossible to get this installed cylinder removed so I can replace it with the correct tall one. I've tried pulling it apart at the base with all my strength, but no luck..it shouldn't be this difficult. I called customer support, and the lady said use a mini sledge hammer and use some brute force to hit the mechanism?? She said I may damage the bottom of the chair, but at least it would be unseen and they could provide replacement parts. Wtf? Do you have any less abrasive suggestions on how to get this cylinder removed so I can replace. This really shouldn't be so difficult, especially if it is meant to be interchangeable to accommodate someone elses height if needed. Thanks!
I am searching my memories to try and remember...I want to say that yes, it does come with 2 cylinders for the central support. I believe one is for larger weight bodies and the other is for more averaged sized persons. It should say in the manual.
@@ModernCastle hey man, really considering this chair so I wanted to ask you for your opinion as well. Do you think it would be a good fit for a 6'4" guy? I'm sure that you as a tall guy know how discriminated against we are, so just wanted to double-check this 😂✌️
@@mort996 Truth! Lol...it's rough being over 6 feet sometimes. But yeah, overall I think it's a solid chair for tall people. Being a taller guy I would definitely recommend getting the headrest for that extra support. If anything, the chair feels better optimized for tall people than short people. My wife uses it as her daily driver and even with the seat fully pushed forward it's right at the max where her feet can still be on the ground. As a result, for taller people you can slide that seat back to extend the ergonomic reach.

I unfortunately don't have any better suggestions. I wasn't aware it was even possible to disassemble once you've got the cylinder installed.

Can the height of the headrest be adjusted?
Yes, if you look at the support stick from head rest to the back of the chair, that bit slides up and down.
