Never thought to re-nail the corner bead, have a few spots I need to do that. Great video Paul.
Hi Jay, thanks for taking the time to comment. Yeah, the cracks from corner bead can be aggrivating, but they are pretty easy to fix. Have a great weekend!
Nice job. Welcome back. Good to see your videos again.

I'm the one who needs to thank you, so thank you for taking the time to watch and especially commenting! Have a great weekend!
I love your videos Paul. Thanks for sharing so many useful tips and tricks. I didn't even know about those drywall texture kits. I have been using the cans of spray from the Big box stores that have gotten expensive
Thank you John, I used cans as well in the past until I came across this spray gun. I love the fact that I can set it up and break it down in seconds and save my unused product for future patches. I threw away so many cans because I didn't use it all and it has a short shelf life. I wish I would have thought of it LOL!
Very cool texture gun.
Good to see you making videos again!!
Thank you Ed, I had some serious health issues that prevented me from doing videos but I'm feeling better and I have a lot of catching up to do. Thank you for sticking with me!
And across this video for ceiling work we are considering. Thanks for the help!
I hope it helps Dottie, thank you!
This guy is the best!👍🏻👍🏻
I just found your videos. We are hating on the popcorn ceilings in our home. I’ve done drywall, mudding. And other projects and your in-site and tips will help when my daughter and I tackle this next project.
Didn't know was going to learn that repair easily thank you guy
Thank you Jervern, I really appreciate you, have a great weekend!
Very nice video Paul, thanks for shasring.
Hey Marty, thank you buddy. I always enjoy reading your posts my friend!
Pretty cool. I have done it with a hopper and compressor, but this would save a lot of time for patches.
Hi Kyle, this gun also requires a compressor but it is incredibly easy to use and clean up. For big jobs the Hopper is still the tool but for small jobs and patches you can't beat it! Thanks!
Welcome back!…it’s been a while…..Love your channel…keep the tip’s coming…😎
Great tips. love this product. I wish you posted more often.
Hi Brian, I had a rough year in 2022 and just knocking the dust off Lol.... I had heart surgery, Covid, Pneumonia and a 2nd bout of Cancer. THANK GOD 2022 is over. I plan on making a full recovery and getting back to videos. I really appreciate you sticking with me, have a great weekend!
@@paulstoolbox I didn't know. You are looking good for a man who has been through all that. Keep well.
@@binnsbrian Thanks again Brian, I look old but I'm definitely feeling better.... LOL
I'm always happy to see a notification from you. Looking forward to learning how you did that crown moulding
Good morning Helen, I hope you are doing well and thank you as usual for keeping in touch! I'm heading to the Firehouse for work in a few minutes! Have a great day!
Hi Helen, that's funny because I'm always happy to see your comments.
Your comments always brighten my day! I finished the crown in this room and I will be adding the videos soon. Have a great weekend and God Bless!
I love this and have learned many things from this channel
Thank you for the compliment and taking the time to watch my videos!
another great video i learn so much from you
Thank you! P.S. Nice Jeep on your avitar.....
Very helpful
Can’t wait to tackle my bathroom ceiling 😊
Thanks Paul. 👍🏻
Thank you for the tips, all I need now is some ambition.
LOL we can all use a little more ambition.... Thanks for the comment, you put a smile on my face! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Paul, Getting ready to remove all my popcorn ceilings and fix a few cracks. Stay safe on duty. Allen F. Metairie, LA
Hi Allen, please go to www.paulstoolbox.com and send me your full mailing information, you are the 2nd winner of the Ez-ProTexture kit. I'd love to see some pics when you get it done. Thanks!
@@paulstoolbox Thanks! Info sent.
You keep looking healthier! I'm so glad! Now, if only I could convince you to wear a mask and eye protection!! (As I shake my finger at you!) At least you were on scaffolding and not a ladder! 🤣🤣
I'm so glad you're back to making videos again!!! 😊
You are right Sandi.... I should have worn protection! I have been away from the game for a little while and rushing to get some jobs done before my next surgery. I'll do my best to practice safety in the future. God Bless and thanks for keeping me in line!!
@@paulstoolbox More surgery? And one more after this one? I'll keep praying and believing for a full recovery! (And keep in mind, I have no right to lecture anyone!) 😁 You keep taking care of yourself, Paul! 💜
That's pretty amazing that you did that entire ceiling with under 4 bags, I've always wonder if those work and how efficient that product is as far as amount needed to complete a job but now I see! Thanks for the videos.
Remember, I did a light texture, if you were to do a heavy texture you would need more. This real purpose of this product is to do patch work or a wall or 2. If you are looking to to a big job, the hopper is the propper tool. I love this kit because it takes seconds to set up and seconds to clean up as well. Thanks!
Really cool
Nice job as always, Paul! Saying hey from Baton Rouge, my friend! I hate doing popcorn ceilings, but the results speak for themselves!
Hey Al, great to hear from a close neighbor! I live on the Northshore but work for JPFD. Have a great weekend my friend!
Good to see you Brother! 🇺🇸🙏
Thank you brother, have a great day!
oh my i need one of those sprayers..and the machine to run it.. LOL but in the future i will be soundproofing my bdrm walls so i will need to add some texture to them... Thanks Paul. Hope all is well with you.
You make things easy for beginners like me, the diy guy lol. Thanks again.
Hey Juan we all start somewhere, I;m sure you will pass me up my friend! Have a great weekend and thanks for watching!
Another great video helping those of us who have nasty popcorn ceilings
Thank you Jerry, this was my last room in the house with popcorn ceilings, now I can start on some new projects....lol!
Thank you Paul. So nice to see your doing well and back showing us how to do projects like the process of removing popcorn ceiling, my entire house had popcorn ceilings. I’ve got a big job removing this stuff, do you think if I just leave it on there it will come back in style!! Geez clothing does that😅😅
LOL You never know Paula. I would bet that Bell Bottoms will be back again... What goes around-Comes around. Have a great day!!
I love your videos Paul but Most importantly I love you my greatest brother very much
Very easy application process. Hoppers are nice but they are larger.
You’re right Kevin, this tool is not meant to take the place of a hopper. Its purpose is to make a small job easy without having to use expensive cans that only work once or twice. Thanks for watching and also commenting!
When taking on a painting project, spending just a bit more on a 18" or even 12" roller and frame are so worth it - especially when you're doing ceilings. Thanks for the video (I gotta start working out again, you're making me look like I'm hoping to get sand kicked in my face).
Funny, I'm the one falling apart my friend. You're right about the 18" roller, that was a great invention and it makes my life a lot easier. have a great weekend!
7:38 ok, last comment, promise 😉(but rather have a few comments than 1 long comment that a novel and no one wants to read that, lol)
So, this right here is was sets a good job, to a great job; THE ATTENTION TO DETAILS and FINISH STAGES!
Ya don’t need to take a light on your ceiling or walls, but if you do and fix those imperfections…….ppl will notice the finished product and know that the person doing the job paid attention to DETAILS, granted, not everyone will notice or care…..but guarantee there will be ppl who do, and this will also help land you return work👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Hi, thank you for your video. What testure you use on your new ceiling? Looks similar to popcorn and wondered if posible to do a knockdown texture.
I did an orange peel, but you can do a knockdown as well for large areas. I would use a hopper if I was doing knockdown because this gun is mainly for patches on something heavy, like knockdown. Thanks!
@Paul Ricalde
3:03 Have a question for you if have time to answer.
Your hand nailing the corner bead up tight; would it be ok to use nail gun or crown staple to do this step, or hand nailing is way to go?
Also, thx for the channel and vids, as enjoy watching and always learn something, even being in trades for I’ve 27 yrs….thx for that👍🏻 (as I was taught no matter skill level and if a “Master” at your trade/craft, one can always learn something new, and the minute you stop learning; might want to “think about why”….😉
Cheers✌🏻
We’re at the patch and sand phase of our popcorn removal project. It appears someone caulked over the popcorn at some point by the crown moulding. It’s a nightmare trying to get sharp edges by the trim. Any suggestions on dealing with that issue? I appreciate these videos!
Hello Hannah, unfortunately, that is a pain but you may be able to scrape it with a good putty knife. I’m sure you’ll have gouges, but you can easily cover those up with mud. Make sure when you do this. Try to scrape parallel with the wall so you can get under the caulk and’s run with the line. Good luck!👍
How much it will cost to do a room that size? Remove popcorn, fix crack parts, put mud, and painted??
6:22 once you go 18” roller, ya really don’t go back, unless doing an area the 18” won’t fit; otherwise it’s 18” all the time; makes for a great painting experience for saving time and getting a nice finish, imo
✌🏻
What’s the point for the texture spray? I thought after you sand it it should be ready to go. Can someone share the acknowledged thanks.
Where did you get that spray paint kit to buy and what is the cost
Hi Paul, please contact me @ www.paulstoolbox.com and I will give you all the information you need. P.S. Thanks for watching!
Paul, what air compressor can i get away with at a cheap price for doing walls?
Hi CrazyDogLady5, it depends on the size of job you are spraying but a small 5 gallon tank compressor will easiy spray a ceiling like this one. This gun only lets air out when the trigger is pulled. Please go to www.paulstoolbox and send me a note, I will get the information you need and send it back to you. Thanks you!!
@@paulstoolbox Awee...thank you so much. You rock!!!
BTW, its for 2 bdrm walls.
Sure beats my straw and slinging method
👍
Where do we go for the giveaway?
Hi Crazy Dog Lady, you are automatically added for the drawing when you comment. We will be doing a lot more giveaways in the near future so if you didn’t win, you still have a very good chance of winning in the future. Thank you so much for watching and have a great weekend!
@@paulstoolbox oh ok..thank you!
@@crazydoglady5 please send me a note @ paulstoolbox.com. Thanks!
Did someone already win the gun? Because I need it like right now! 😂 Thinking about tackling this on my own for my daughter’s room 😓
I just spray the ceiling with water
Or, and hear me out, get a good vacuum with a good fleece bag, and use a Mirka/Festool drywall sander with 40-80 grit and just use for about 20 mins
Thanks for the tip , but video is geared toward DIY'ers. Festool is a great company but the average person is not going to purchase a $3000.00 rig to do a one time job and neither would I. I can think of a lot of things that I would rather spend my money on like one heck of a party when I'm done LOL! Have a good day buddy!
I suggest a mask!
You do realize that I may not need that big ole hopper I bought for this type job several years ago since you’re showing off all these high tech bags of ceiling stuff, don’t you? The hopper sales guy isn’t going to like this one bit…. 🤣
