Has any of these people thought about the expansion of the universe like blowing up a balloon? When you start blowing up a balloon is hard because the attraction of atoms is stronger cause they are closer, as the balloon expanse it gets easier cause the atoms are further apart so the attraction diminishes. This would be the same for the universe, as the galaxies move away from each other the gravitational pull is less so they will speed up.

Planet X is my personal favorite space mystery of them all. Objects beyond the Kuiper Belt are really strange and for a planet to pull and wary a lot of celestial objects in space in or beyond the Kuiper Belt really shows that it's a massive planet, most likely smaller than Jupiter and maybe Saturn, but yeah. However, I *do* believe there's a Planet X beyond our Solar System.

    Heres the thing right.
Our sun is stable, not many are.
Our planet was hit by a planetoid, which the remnants of are what we know as the moon.
Because of this, our core is larger than what it should be for a planet our size.
We are in the goldy-locks zone. (The distance Earth orbits the Sun is just right for water to remain a liquid)
Because of our larger than average core, we have a stronger than average magnetosphere which protects us from harmful UV rays.
We have an unusual solar system given the fact that most solar systems have the larger planets closer to the star than the smaller ones.
Mother nature does not favor intelligence, it favors strength. If not for the asteriod that started the death of the dinosaurs, our feeble selves would have never been able to dominate the food chain.
The asteroid was large enough to kill dinosaurs but not large enough to exterminate all life. Very lucky.
We have enough land to water ratio to have a weather system that propegates life.
We have a moon that is precisely the size and distance it needs to be to give us tides and seasons. Without the moon, the oceans would stagnate like a swamp. Also without the moon, we would have eternal spring. Sounds good, but it would come with massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions which would make life on earth nearly impossible.
We have jupiter, a gas giant that shields us from 98% of all asteroids that would hit earth.
We are not located near the center of the galaxy, were gamma rays, pulsar radiation, super nova radiation and black holes are much more common.
We have had an incredibly lucky span of peaceful nature, something which scientist who study earth history say is not common. In other words, we were supposed to have had a super volcano eruption by now, a super earth quake by now, an ice age by now.
Now, with all those factors, how many of those 20,000,000,000 planets capable of life, have all those qualities?
Now, how many of those planets, with those same qualities (Lets say there is at least one) have inteligent life equal or more inteligent than ours.
Out of those, how many have survived plagues?
    Natural disasters?
Cosmological dissasters?(Gamma rays, asteroids, comets, sun flares, core spin reduction)
Out of those, how many have survived famine?
    Ice age?
Now out of all those that are left, how many would have survived themselves? (War)
With all the 20,000,000,000 life cappable planets in our galaxy, the chances of other life existing is less than the odds of you or me walking the entirty of the sahara desert and finding one, JUST ONE, solid gold bar.
There is a much higher probability that aliens are us from the distant future.

Here is an interesting thought - what if it is not the aliens that are missing but rather we are missing? What I mean by that is - if all the matter consists of 80% dark matter and 20% light matter and we can only interact and perceive light matter and we only know of the dark matter because of its observable effects, then the other way around may also be and most probably is the same.
We know that dark matter is matter, but matter can be anything - stars, planets, galaxies, clusters of galaxies. And within those galaxies and planets, there may be planets full of life. And if there is life within the dark matter space, then they would be able to interact and see 80% of all space. Why would they care for 20 % that for some reason is not observable to them?
A while back I noticed something that is a lot more like the Catholic church's former understanding of the Universe - that the Sun orbits around the Earth. This has been proven to be totally inaccurate! By the same motion - why do all scientists keep insisting that we should be looking for conditions for and/or life itself based on the conditions under which life began here?! It makes no sense! We are looking for "aliens" -meaning something which is not of this world, but we are trying to see something similar to our form of life! The fact that we need water, certain temperatures, and oxygen does not mean that all life everywhere in the Universe needs water, the same range of temperatures and oxygen! We are talking about trillions and trillions of planets within the Universe of which we can see 20% and yet we are only looking for carbon-based lifeforms!
Back to those 20%, again why would the 20% be "the Universe" and not the other way around! The level of arrogance and self-centrism in this approach can only be rivaled by the size of the Universe itself!
    Rant over! :D

Space is so amazing if you was able to. You be able to go any direction for infinity. Just so mind blowing.

The probability of multi cellular life in our galaxy alone is fascinating. The fact that among 2+trillion galaxies there are probably 10s of millions of civilizations out there makes my brain explode 😂

I love that you mentioned Henrietta Swan Leavitt! She was an amazing astronomer whose discovery would forever change astronomy! Hubble even said frequently that she deserved the Noble Prize for her discovery as one of “Pickering’s Computers” working with the glass plate images. She is so frequently disregarded. There is also a wonderful play about her life called Silent Sky. She really was an incredible woman and astronomer.
