Fantastic performance! You have a great voice and your guitar playing is amazing! I love to listen to well-written songs played in a bare-bones guitar and vocal arrangement. You know it is a great song when........
Nicely done, Mary! Not gonna lie, when you did the false start, I was expecting the f-bomb under your breath lol. Also, thank you for not changing the title like they do on every radio station
Sounds awesome Mrs Mary love how u made that tune yours. That song means a lot to my family. My youngest brothers favorite song he passed away some years back but that tune hold a special place as does free falling by Tom Petty and learning to fly. Thanks awesome tune!!!
After seeing some of your very early performances, I can see that your fantastic voice is a product of your hard work as much as your natural talent. Brava.
This is one of my favorite songs by a group that, although in recent years they haven't known how to reinvent themselves, helped me had the strength to cope with adolescence and to love rock. I dedicate myself to writing and audiovisuals and I have reflected a lot on what art means and why it is supposed to move people. Listening to this song I have been able to put into words what I had been thinking about for a long time: art is what allows us to see again. Even if it only lasts some minutes or hours. In the sense that every day we get used to believing that we are one way or another, that others are one way or another, that we know the faults of others and that we know what they would say and think about us. In other words, as the weeks and months and years go by, we believe our ideas about reality. Real art has the effect of making you emotionally recognize that we don't really know much about life, that we need to put aside our prejudices and have the humility to look back at reality to see what's out there. To really see others each time as something new. I imagine it as something as simple but as necessary as washing your face with cold water in the morning, to be able to face the day without the debris of the day before. And for this, as can be seen in this video, millions of dollars, extravagant scripts or special effects are not necessary. It is about something else and this artist has it. Greetings from Spain.
I just got home from my singing lessons where i have been practicing this song to make my own cover. This is so inspiring to see, thank you so much for all the amazing video's and music you make.
Could you talk about this recording set up in a video. Mics (and positions), your in-ears, room, interface/DAW, and your guitar (which you've done a video on, but did you have any work done to it?)?
Love the old Epi! It brings David Rawlings to mind and his work with Gillian Welch, which is something (their music) that you have the right tone and feel to cover extremely well.
