What makes me choke up is seeing someone literally thank a guitar and music for saving his life, and realizing how much time I waste not making enough of my own music. @@richgl31 in this day and age; any act of kindness is welcome especially ones that aspire to increase the joy of music in artists who share their joy of music with listeners who create untold beautiful permutations where music and EVERYTHING intersect!
@@richgl31 did she ever claim altruism? Cuz I don't think she did. A random act of kindness has very rarely hurt anyone. This isn't for brownie points, it's for the music man.
@@Nannada1212 I think my point is that it may be nice and I really like her (having watched many of her videos) but these giveaway videos (of which there are quite a few across different YT’s) are also for the views and also to get promotion for the guitar brand - nothing wrong with that if ultimately the person gets a gift.

In 2008, I went to Austin, TX and tried to busk as a 16yr old, kinda as a social experiment. I met so many amazing people and I made just enough money to get a PB&J sandwich downtown. A barber overheard me just riffing the blues and offered me a coke. I love that man and I'll never forget that.

Great post. I busked my way through some lean years on the Toronto subways, in all seasons. Met and played with many different musicians, heard a lot of stories, had some sketchy run-ins. It was a very humbling as well as uplifting experience. It's not an easy life. Warmed my heart to see you help Oscar out. God bless.

I've been busking for awhile, and have been filming buskers for my RUclips channel (along with a lot of live bands etc.) for years. And I've met some very talented musicians along the way. A few years ago, I lucked into a prime busking location where the street was blocked off so that diners could eat outdoors at a half- dozen restaurants. I made thousands of dollars that summer. So many musicians got our start by busking. Love Mary, she's a musician's musician!

I had to have a little moment there when you gave that guy the guitar, not lyin' brought a tear to my eye. Just got my Acoustisonic back in May and it is probably the best all round guitar I have played in my life. I have been playing since I was twelve and I'm 70 now. Oscar is loving that guitar and I am loving this story!

Watching this video is so awesome as I myself had met a street musician in Loreto Baja California two years ago when I was on vacation there, he was a great player and even played a request for me that day “La Bikina” not a easily played song , we ended up taking turns playing each other a song basically having a great time with all my family watching along,, fortunately I will be there soon for another vacation and will be bringing him a New Acoustic electric, just because he so deserves it , I can’t wait to see him again and seeing you generously do this for Oscar brought a tear to my eye.
