The fun part in this video is they do the complete oppisite of each others. Leo takes songs that's not metal and makes them metal. Mary on the other hands takes metal song (and other style's) and makes them none metal (and other style's). So this is what is showen in this video "Battle of style" each are perfoming the same song in each there style :)
Leo is amazing, he can take almost any song put his spin on it and have it come out amazing. Mary Spender is also an incredible artist. I follow both of them on RUclips. 🤠🎸🤘
Yeah, and I don't think non-musicians grasp exactly how hard it is to take a song and completely genre-bend it and still have it work. Being able to do that is a testament to how good Leo really is.
i would definitely back up those who ask for Leo Moracchioli's Cover of Toto's Africa. Also great is his Cover of "Dance Monkey", in which he is backed up by Hannah and Rabbea as he is in "Africa". :)
Leo is an incredible artist. I have been his fan for years. His vocal range, as well as range of song choice to cover, is incredible and I highly recommend it to anyone. He has also exposed me to many other artists that are definitely worth checking out!!!!!
When you want another fun one I vote for Leo and Hannah for the Toto Africa cover but you have to do it seeing it for the first time. m.ruclips.net/video/MH9FyLsfDzw/видео.html
What you have to understand is, Leo is ridiculously talented, plays all of the instruments in his songs, sings, collaborates with a bunch of people...and he's a little nuts. I'm always amazed at his talent, but find myself laughing at his antics in every single video. It's a rabbit hole worth getting lost in for sure.
Speaking of rabbit, his metal cover of Feel Good Inc. Where he's in a rabbit costume at some public area, just walking through while people look at him like he's crazy (understandably), is one of my favorite covers of Leo's.
I came across leap frog randomly 3-4 years ago and just love this group and all their music. They are both very talented and make a great combo. So glad you did one of their videos
Mary's opening riff on the banjo is great. Glad they highlighted it. This is my favourite version of this song. Mary has the same cool reporter tone as Mark Knopfler at the start, Leo puts on the metal face when he's barely growling LOL, then they both get warmer. Just so cool.
Yeah, me too. She does some good vids. This cover was the first time I saw her...🤔 ...now that I think about it. I found this a few years ago ...oh, probably searching for Sultans of Swing footage...✌😁
I love Leo so much, he loves what he does so much, and it shines through all of his music. I'm not a fan of metal, but I can't get enough of Leo's arrangements and performances. Also, +1 to the "Africa" vote. ^_^
Oh! I remember this from a couple years back...the Dire Straits original is one of my favorite songs. ...from one of my favorite bands...this is a fun cover of it, I've seen some of his covers, and I catch Mary Spender's vids sometimes. Have fun. ...your ponytail swinging was AWESOME!!! 🤘😁. Yes, we love taking you into the Metal experience. Thanks for coming along! ✌
As a musician for over 30 years, I really appreciate that you caught the vocal doubling. I've seen several reaction videos for this song, and you are the first to mention it! Good job!
I thumbed this one just because you reacted to one of the best duo's on RUclips. Leo and his wife absolutely kill it both in the studio and in their live performances. I just wish they would come to the USA!!!
Tara, thanks for this! IRL, Mary and Leo are two of the nicest people you could ever want to meet. And _both_ of them, individually, have _oodles_ of fans. Leo is the metal guy. Mary, on the other hand, is really a jazz/folk/pop singer. So, she was out of her element here. But, she admires the heck out of Leo. So, she gave it her all. She's really a guitarist first, a songwriter second, and a singer third. I hope you give her another listen, but this time on her own. Or, alternatively, you could also get a good sense of her voice in one of her duets with another fave of mine, Reina del Cid, a young lady formerly out of Minneapolis, now out of LA. An example of that is their cover of Dolly Parton's "Islands in the Stream" at ruclips.net/video/sj2gSmZqjSU/видео.html. She also has one of the loveliest duets I've ever heard with another RUclips wonder, Josh Turner. It's their cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hey That's No Way to Say Goodbye" at ruclips.net/video/2JLTfRQ0ikk/видео.html. You can't go wrong either way. I hope you give them a try! Your fan, JT
Always Morissette ... Im fed up of her. Its entertaining for viewers to see her reacting to different artist from different country. Its enough for Morissete .Give some for other artists out there
Leo is both a mad man and a master of music. He does everything himself in the production of these videos in his home studio. He can turn any song into a heavy metal masterpiece. Very talented in so many fields. And lets not leave out all the comical theatrics. And Mary is a wonderful musician herself. Everybody should go look at Leo's extensive library of covers.
I only came across Leo early this year (I'm not into metal normally) and his covers /productions are an interesting addition to this old fella's music appreciation. Your other comments below are right about his other notable efforts and I'd add that his cover of 'Jolene' is another one that makes you smile :)
After listening to the studio version of the original by Mariah Carey, she copy almost everything note for note. The only differences are that she was using head voice when Mariah was using falsetto, and she didn't do a couple of the more complicated runs that Mariah did. Still, it's not easy to do Mariah Carey even as a copy, so she still did great.
Leo is a musical genius. With almost 4 million subs he's very popular as well. I'm 65 and have played drums for 58 years. The mastery he shows on multiple instruments is second to none
could you maybe react to a cover by haloscene, lauren Babic, First to Eleven and violet Orlandi/bohamian rhapsody? Its a really good one and i would love to hear your opinion to that :D
Glad you enjoyed Leo, With 3.9 Million Subs, With near 26 Million views of This video, With 330 Thousand thumbs up and over 18 thousand comments.. He is a legend. Just say'n.
1st time checking out your channel..Bravo... I'm an audio engineer (retired) like you a fan of all music and have mixed it all..lol but I've been a big fan of Leo and his cover vids ..not so much live , but that's not his fault..he turned me on to Mary who is pretty awesome in her own rite.. when I saw the title for your vid, I was prepared for a destination session..lol.. but I was happily relieved when your Ponytail started Banging...lol, I've perfect pitch since a child, and can play multiple instruments, use to sing ..not so much anymore...but I hear every little nuance of sound.. he is tremendous with his covers especially with the degree of humor.. ie. the eys, etc.. check out his array of work at his site, and I will now add you to my collection to go to sites, rock on Tara...
Cray cray and smooooth. Mary’s voice is beautiful, Leo amazes, very talented. "It's a good pairing." Yes. Both bring much to this performance. It is a good pairing. I keep coming back to your reaction of this because it is good and at the same time funny. Not enough funny in the world. Thanks very much, Tara.
Hey Tara thanks for doing this.. LEo and Mary are SUPERRRRR .. now you know them and you know it ... thank you again .. and .. you're very very good... you picked up the technicalities behind the song introduced with the recording studio and equipment .. not only a reaction to the song but a little analysis here.. well done Miss..
Tara, don't know who you are or where you're from but Leo is a sparkle in the darkness that is metal. I'm back on the Leo track after last 2 years of moving and settling down. You gave good advice and critique and thank for that. Spread love, not germs. Your ponytail roll was excellent. 👍💚🪶
I really enjoy Leo's work as a master multi instrument talent and his wacky creativity. What I am surprised is that you really did not comment on Mary Spender's voice. Mary has such a clean and pure tone. She can really hold a note and gently roll off at the end of it. I hope that you check out more of Mary's work to get a better perspective of her vocal control.
I have one of those square coffee cups. Never got the hang of it. After needing a clean shirt more than a few times I pushed it to the back of the cabinet.

Tara Simon Studios I don’t sing. I just like watching your reaction videos. 🙂
How far can I get if I start at "incredibly bad" instead of "good" ... 🙄
You look great
The fun part in this video is they do the complete oppisite of each others. Leo takes songs that's not metal and makes them metal. Mary on the other hands takes metal song (and other style's) and makes them none metal (and other style's).
So this is what is showen in this video "Battle of style" each are perfoming the same song in each there style :)
Please keep watching after all his videos for bonus material definitely worth seeing
His cover of Toto's 'Africa' with Hannah and Rabea is the stuff of legends. Would love to see you react to it.
As long as she rocks out to the outro, yes!!
^^^^^I 2nd this ^^^^^^
Yes please!!!!
Yes, the outro is a must!!!!
Absolutely this 1000000% and the outro 500000000000%!
React to his cover of Toto - Africa with Hannah and Rabea please :)
If she does Africa, she has to *also* listen through the post-song song, since the vocals there are by far the best part of that entire video.
Yes, it is also a great blending between Leo’s voice and Hannah’s
Including the all important outro
Yes, the outro is a must!!!
Both the studio video and the concert video of Africa are pretty amazing.
Tara: "What is happening?"
Me: "That's a common question while watching Leo's videos"
This is actually one of my favorite videos of his just for that look he gives before starting to rock out
Please Please Please react to his cover of Toto's Africa with Hannah & Rabea
WITH THE OUTRO!
@@richardharrold9736 YES!!!
Eddie Wilkinson I don’t think she’s watching these comments any longer.
Leo is amazing, he can take almost any song put his spin on it and have it come out amazing. Mary Spender is also an incredible artist. I follow both of them on RUclips. 🤠🎸🤘
X2 on that comment 🤘
I was just about to comment exactly that comment!

Yeah, and I don't think non-musicians grasp exactly how hard it is to take a song and completely genre-bend it and still have it work. Being able to do that is a testament to how good Leo really is.
100% agree i cant say i heard one song with Leo that is "bad" sure some are worse then the other but none are what i would call bad
i would definitely back up those who ask for Leo Moracchioli's Cover of Toto's Africa.
Also great is his Cover of "Dance Monkey", in which he is backed up by Hannah and Rabbea as he is in "Africa". :)
You have excellent taste. His two best in my opinion. Hannahs vocals in Dance Monkey are just incredible.
Leo is an incredible artist. I have been his fan for years. His vocal range, as well as range of song choice to cover, is incredible and I highly recommend it to anyone. He has also exposed me to many other artists that are definitely worth checking out!!!!!
ANother vote for Loe's Africa cover, it is as others have said is amazing.
His cover of Hello makes that song worth hearing.
My favorite cover done by Leo!
How about his The Power of Love cover? An already great song made more powerful. And the clip is pure gold. It's my favorite.
he also did a metal version of wheels on the bus
1: I am early
2: OMG, I am freaking out, I LOVE Leo and you reacting to him is a dream come true!
Your wish is my command!!
When you want another fun one I vote for Leo and Hannah for the Toto Africa cover but you have to do it seeing it for the first time.
m.ruclips.net/video/MH9FyLsfDzw/видео.html
@@simstick And even though it's a purely instrumental part, you HAVE to keep watching through the Outro, to stop early is a sacrilege :)

@@henrytawnn8694 And for his version of Baby Shark he is dressed as a shark playing the drums and guitar .
Saw a funny comment to one of Leos videos:
Hey Leo, what instrument do you play?
Leo: Yes
Definitely do his cover of Africa, with the outro included
I guess there is not really all that much vocals to react to during the outro, but the music experience is awesome :)
@@sveinstmobekken2175 I dunno. I like the little bit of vocal that's in it. But yeah, it would be a shame to skip the outro. It's amazing.
I saw Mary Spender on the title and I've never clicked so fast
Just got my mercy from her store .. studio and live EPs of Lone Wolf
Merch
Leo's stuff is always a blast. The guy is so crazy fun and entertaining.
I came across leap frog randomly 3-4 years ago and just love this group and all their music. They are both very talented and make a great combo.
So glad you did one of their videos
This is my favorite cover of Leo’s and I love Mary’s vocal in this - perfectly offsets his rasp.
The original is one of my favourite driving songs. This one... Well this one is for the Autobahn...
His cover of "house of the rising sun" good, but just about everything he does is great!
Mary Spender is worth mussing a pony for..... she is the latest generation epitome if cool and talent i never miss her Chewsday recitals
Mary's opening riff on the banjo is great. Glad they highlighted it. This is my favourite version of this song. Mary has the same cool reporter tone as Mark Knopfler at the start, Leo puts on the metal face when he's barely growling LOL, then they both get warmer. Just so cool.
Good to see you get your rock on girl. Thumbs up.
I think she enjoyed that one.
I vote for Leo's cover of “Hello.” so so good. Love Leo.
Mary Spender has such a sultry voice, I literrally cried when she opened her mouth!.
I follow Mary Spender on her RUclips, never thought I would see her here, cool :-)
Yeah, me too. She does some good vids. This cover was the first time I saw her...🤔 ...now that I think about it. I found this a few years ago ...oh, probably searching for Sultans of Swing footage...✌😁
Being in my fifties, and having grown up on John Denver, I love Leo's cover of "Country Roads"
Please react to "shreya ghoshal"
She is the queen of music in India
Check out her song "tujhme rab dikhta hai" at Sony project
Leo Moracchioli is the man.real talent.you became what all of the 80;s kids wanted to be.......Glad to see your having fun....rock on.
This song is what launched my buying tons of Leo's stuff.
Ditto!
Seeing you whip that ponytail around you were having fun. Thats what makes this fun
I love Leo so much, he loves what he does so much, and it shines through all of his music. I'm not a fan of metal, but I can't get enough of Leo's arrangements and performances.
Also, +1 to the "Africa" vote. ^_^
Leo always has so much fun. It's infectious. The playing is always off the chain.
This might not be your wheelhouse Tara.. but you got to admit you enjoyed it. The flying ponytail doesn't lie :)
Oh Mary's smokey clear tones and Leo's growl are her wheelhouse for sure.
Hello Tara. Your Voice is so great!!! WOW.
Frog leap studios is the only person that can take wheels on the bus and turn it in to metal...
glad you liked it. I like Leo too. Very refreshing. Like you too Tara.
Leo is so dramatic. He's a riot and always leave me grinning. Check out his cover of "Peaches" with his daughter. They're so cute together!

They also did a cover of “Fast Car” which is amazing.
Richard Samul yes, I agree fast car is good.
Finally someone that doesn’t keep stopping the video. You point out some great stuff as well.
I freakin love leo. Just stoppin by to see what someone else thinks.
As a musician for over 30 years, I really appreciate that you caught the vocal doubling. I've seen several reaction videos for this song, and you are the first to mention it! Good job!
His gin and juice is still one of my favs
Fact: it's impossible to hold still when Leo's rocking!! 🤘🤘
Leo is a badass. He can turn any song metal.
I thumbed this one just because you reacted to one of the best duo's on RUclips. Leo and his wife absolutely kill it both in the studio and in their live performances. I just wish they would come to the USA!!!
Please do more Mary Spender reactions, she's amazing.
Lol tara, you let those beautiful locks sway !! 😆😆👍👍
You have to hear the cover of the children’s song “What Does the Fox Say?” Leo does..:it is strangely awesome!
My two year old likes his version of 'the wheels on the bus'.
I just binge watched maybe 20 of your videos rn! And I'm learning much
You should never ever skip an outro made by Frogleap Studios
Seriously the coolest pairing! I freaking LOVE Mary and Leo is amazingly talented!
Mary's singing voice gives me chills. It's wonderful to listen.

His drummer signs the Pokemon theme ... it’s absolutely stellar
This guy does some amazing work..
I have one of those square coffee cups. Never got the hang of it. After needing a clean shirt more than a few times I pushed it to the back of the cabinet.
A voice born to rock
Leo is an amazing musician! love listening to his stuff
Thanks for this!
