My whole life I’ve felt like I was in on the worlds greatest secret. I’ve been listening to Harry since I was 4 or 5. I’m 17 now, and in that time, I’ve never met anyone whose heard of him, which breaks my heart but also makes me feel especially blessed

I love Harry Nilsson! Such a talent who could sing anything. He could manipulate his voice and sound different in each song, but still have that Harry sound. It is a shame how many people don't really know anything about him. They are missing out.

Just discovered this magnificent artist. So strange i never heard of him before!! Absolutely divine, what a singer! This song has reminded me of "Three Dog Night -- but Harry is ONE and they were a trio of vocalists.... I'm amazed.

Still stands as an amazing TV performance. Harry’s spare solo performance of Without Her is magnificent. And I loved his sly goofing on his aversion to performing in concert.

Harry was a genius. He wrote so many standards of the 1960’s and 70’s. Great Songs..Hits! Early in his life, he played on stage. He got heckled by the audience. That one situation kept him for ever touring or playing live in front of an audience. Therefore, he did BBC and other CBS productions, etc. The films today are awesome! He had his reasons for not wanting to play live, in front of an audience. Thanks!

I just found out about this guy a few weeks ago. Im a musician/songwriter myself. This guy is so amazing. just an incredible talent. The songs "Without her" and "1941" are just timeless classics. So much emotion, so much energy but yet performed so effortlessly. I have written songs like this. they come from a different place, a different dimension. Some of you might be reading this thinking 'This guy has had too many trips". Just ask any songwriter, they'll tell you. The best written songs just fall out of you like a load of baggage you no longer wish to carry.

What a treat , I've never to this day seen this performance astonishing talent , better then watching the kids destroy the house opening presents on Christmas day thats for sure. Time to myself listening to perfection is only so often, the ears are clapping, one eye looking at the other saying are you seeing this? The mind in a pink Floyd momentary lapse of reason a jim Morrison piece of poetry, iron butterfly in a gadda divida beat, little jimi Hendricks guitar, ozzy Osbourne with black Sabbath raunchy rock n roll, queens Freddy Mercury' s pitch, and all peoples favorite bands and artists all mixed into one Harry Nilsson could this ever be possible.

He is unique. Maybe his playfulness made the public believe he wasn’t a serious artist? He was so talented in so many different genres, so I guess the record companies had a hard time putting a label on him. Labels were so important for them. Work hard against gun violence after Lennon was killed. Both of them had a first born child they seemed to have left behind, more or less

No….. Mr Richland was a producer executive at RCA and really liked that song when Harry played the demo. So Harry named it after him. No fooling. I read that in the biography written about HN.
