Crimson Dragon is defeated for good, and the core of Meteor G is destroyed. Which means the whole thing is coming down. However, this ends up leaving Geo floating in space inside of an EM Barrier. No Mega, no Kelvin, and no way to influence his movement. However, Kelvin sends out a distress message to Earth, begging everyone to help bring Geo home. This gives off a strong enough signal for Mega and Kelvin to send Geo back to Earth. But, a little while later, e find out that he was followed...
But that concludes Star Force 3's story. Up next for Star Force 3 is the Post-Game. Although there may be something else before then.

Damn, the ending to this game always makes me tear up. I love this game series and the message it sends about how when people work together, they can achieve the impossible.

despite all the corniness and the cheesiness this series had from time to time, that is probs one of the greatest endings ive seen
Man, ending the main story of the series on Kelvin saying "I'm finally home" has even more impact than MMBN6 ending on Lan's final jack in message after the credits. Both are great, but Star Force really makes the whole thing feel like a deserved payoff for sticking with all three games.

I swear I was crying waterfalls when I saw the end of Starforce 3, but when I saw the scene after the credits and saw both Kelvin and Mega come back, I cried liquid happiness.
So glad it didn’t turn out to be some cliche plot where a best friend of the MC disappears at the end and doesn’t come back

whenever shooting star start playing, the feels hit pretty hard
Frankly, I was surprised by how decent the ending actually was for the most part, I haven't felt like this since Star Force 1, it was...satisfying to say the least. Even if the whole "crashing down on Earth as a blue comet" thing was a bit nonsensical and broke my immersion, I otherwise liked it. Also, BIG missed opportunity to have it happen on Vista Hill to loop back to the beginning of the series in a fantastic high note.
i think the Vista point no longer exists since the advancement of EM tech. look even the Gym and the Studio of Echo Ridge Elementary is gone.
Also I don't think it was nonsensical that the blue comet stuff, especially when Geo still had the EM Barrier around him to lessen the impact with the atmosphere.
Just a reference to his japanese name I guess, Geo is called Shooting star rockman
What a great ending for such a beautiful game, this series is my favourite DS game series, It shows how friendship can overpower anything, I always tear up at the end to see mega leave. When is #4 coming out nintendo?

Last night, I heard that there was gonna be a Star Force 4. I haven't really thought about it for a while, but I did find out last night. Due to the poor sales of this game and Shooting Star, it got cancelled.
But you know what? I'm actually fine with this series ending here. Everyone may now know that Geo is Mega Man, but he also found true happiness at last. He has friends he cares about, he lives a good life and best of all... at long last, after being lost in space for years, his father is finally back home.
At long last, the family is reunited.
And Geo couldn't be happier.

Actually, Starforce 4 did happen but it was canceled in the middle of development. The good thing is at least it exists.

@@nettosirby1510 Thanks! I saw the video and whoa! That's clearly not what I would have expected for a sequel of Star Force 3! Damn... Also, I'm so sad to see there is yet another cancelled MegaMan game to add to the way too long list... Damn Capcom.

It ended almost perfectly, however there are a lot of questions that still need answered in one way or another. I love this series and even though they probably aren't, I hope Capcom makes another game. Where they end it off fully. Answering all the questions, seeing Geo grow alongside his friends (see what the canonical pairing is [most likely Geo and Sonia]) and see even regular people somehow access the Wave World. Em Waves (in the games) were such a basic but interesting setup for Starforce, it makes you wonder that if there's an EM being that can create black holes and treats planets as play things, what else could be out there? Do EM Waves travel farther than we really think they do? Plus we never see what happens with the Mu Metal from the post game, how Geo and Solo face off to the death, or Geo finally cracks through Solo's shield and they finally, slightly see eye to eye. It'd also be nice to see more implemented from the secret Diaries made by Lan in Battle Network (Seen in Starforce 2), find out if somehow, some way, Lan and Geo actually meet again? Or a future "relative" of Megaman.EXE? In fact, how coincidental is it that all of these things transpire the way they do? What actually compels Solo to move forward besides his blood ties to Mu? Why and how did Kelvin hold back Meteor G, and was technically able to stay in contact with Earth? How did Kelvin know that Meteor G would hit Earth? What exactly is the future for Geo? He's survived so much in less than a year! Not sending in a brother computer program that could most likely just be recreated, but with his own body fused with an alien has fought things people would barely be able to imagine! Now sorry..... But one more..... Where did the past abilities go? Geo should still have the Star Force, along with the Tribe Transformations, plus we never see how Geo fully realizes the power of Black Ace/Red Joker (The final battle doesn't really count honestly) and plus, they had a perfect reason for the 4th game! Noise is no longer a thing (or mostly), and Geo, still a 5th or now 6th grader becomes an officer of the Sattella Police, becomes the Leader of the Commandos now named Star Force after his mission on Meteor G. Plus Geo's identity is revealed to the world now! There's so much you could do with all the material you gave in the 3 (I guess technically 7) games, bring back old locations, make old characters and villains more primary! There's so much you could do Capcom!

Yeah heard so...tbh I know Starforce games sold poorly but it has Nothing to do with the quality of games , cuz it's pretty well known by everyone that Starforce was one of the best megaman series out there , it was pretty solid , maybe not in the early days but later on , it got its well deserved spotlight and recognition. I think the poor sales is mainly due to to the fact that megaman , like In general was something people kinda got bored off, even tho the vocal demand of the audience was still there it didn't necessarily mean they'd actually go, buy and were willing to give it a shot or something, most of the demand was due to the nostalgia factor. Starforce indeed was a solid series , and probs one of the few series that had a solid ending.
Please bring it to switch.
I have played every single Mega Man game growing up. I remember when I was 12 and I heard Crimson dragon's theme. It literally told me "This is it. Geo found his Dad and this is the final battle of the Starforce Series. We just have to save him now." When I saw that Crimson Dragon wouldn't die in the second phase, but Black End Galaxy was blank with no damage unlike usual - I shed a few tears knowing that was the final move for the series. It almost hit me as bad as Mega Man's "deletion" in Battle Network 3. (It only made me cry more because I found out they were brothers")
My first gameplay to this game got me crying on the ending haha
Hands down i think sf3 had the best story out of the trio. And ace actually died, or is he alive since he was shown in the credits. Thought this one was wack at first but that ending had me.
Ace survives, I think he's like a cripple now or some but he did survive

I have only played the 1st game, and have only one question : where is Pat ? The relationship between Pat and Geo was one of the most interesting things in Pegasus/Léo/Dragon.

Sadly, Star Force 3 lost involvement from the writers of Pegasus/Leo/Dragon... : (
You can see on Wikipedia that one of them (Masakazu Eguchi) became a director for Star Force 2; while his close partner (Teruhiro Shimogawa) was the only writer who stayed on, with four other new writers introduced.
These fresh hires would be the ones to write the story for Star Force 3 after Masakazu and Teruhiro left the franchise entirely. By that point, the only remnant of Star Force 1's crew was the 3rd game sharing the same director-- Masahiro Yasuma. Probably because Capcom doubled back and realized the second game's tone wasn't that good. ^^;
But I hope this context sheds some light on why Pat was faded out from the story. Simply put (at least this is my overall take) the writer's room became suddenly cluttered; and the only people who remembered/cared about Pat eventually left.
True shame when his character was so good and had potential to grow more. Maybe he would've made a comeback in Star Force 4...? Doubtful, but we'll never truly know unless Capcom SOMEDAY decides to revive the cancelled project. And that's a mixed bag already considering they wanted to take the game series in an edgier direction (with Geo being a notorious hacking outlaw; yes I'm not joking).
Maybe the execution would've been alright. But I almost feel like Star Force 3's ending is too poignant to touch, since it mostly wraps up everything. Is what it is. We can't change the past. But as is the common theme with these games...
The best we can do is look forward with hope in our hearts, never forgetting the lessons they taught us. I'll leave you with the headcanon visual of Pat on Dream Island smiling as he overlooks the horizon and hears from the global news cast that Geo made it back to Earth safely. 💚

TBH, this ending has some similarities in MMBN3's Ending.
Main character loses being that helped them out to save them, has to go a few weeks without them, gets them back after them? The one slim difference between BN3 and SF3 is that Kelvin came back, so SF3 has 2 people coming back instead of just 1.
@@SeraphOC though the whole thing about Lan and the SciLab fire incident is similar to Geo moping about not being able to save his friends from that Dimension Hole back at SF2, they start to question their worth as a hero until someone tries to snap them out of it.

More on solo. What happened to his parents and how did he have an ancient star carrier. (The mu lore wasn’t fleshed out enough. What happened to the people of mu that scattered across the world? Did they die out, their genes were watered down as generations went by and were they still practiced fighting like the sky people (you can resent war but still fight)
Dr Vega is probably in jail, if not then idk what happened to her, pat is gone without a trace in sf3, don’t know what happened to him, and solo’s parents probably died a long time ago, in the sf2 anime solo was cryogenically frozen or something like that iirc. Still I agree we need closure but if no sf4 happens, it’s fine I guess

this is the 2nd time Geo ends up in space after defeating a big baddie. Kind hope 2 would have the same flow too cuz then it would set up a metaphor cuz he's the Shooting Star Megaman. and he's literally acting like a shooting star coming back to earth.
Me: .....And so, the battle has finally come to an end. Geo annihilated the evil organization Dealer, his friends believed in him, his dad is a-okay, Ace is alive and kicking, and Meteor G threat is gone forever......Jack and Tia turned themselves in to the police, confess their crimes, and sentenced to life and released for paying their crimes they committed.
After Mega Man Star Force 3 and the entire series ended.

@@SeraphOC There's a sidequest in MMSF2 where you collect pages of Lan's diary. It says that he researched the bond that he and Hub had that helped them overcome tight situations, and wanted everyone to have something like that as well. The result might have been the creation of Brotherbands and Link Power.

For those wondering if Ace survived/came back, sadly, according to the lead scenario designer, that image could have potentially just been wishful thinking by someone (likely Tia), and that it's ultimately up to the player to decide if the image is real or not.

I also think he's alive mainly because, similar to Luna's "death", Ace's BrotherBand isn't cut.

Let's being honest, Starforce 2 is bad, they have a bad and ugly interface despite being the 2nd installment of the franchise. Even the first one design was better. Maybe back then, people have the mindset that the third version gonna be crappy as the 2nd, so we don't get the final installment of the series and Geo's future.
Damn, i really want to see Grown up Geo and Lan hikari's descendent in action lol. I hope that there will be the 4th game for this game maybe on switch or 3ds. Please...
