For some reason this song always makes me think of Steve Irwin's funeral. He did a great job there. This song is absolutely timeless. Such an underrated song. Pure 'Australiana'.
Listening and watching John singing this makes me so happy to be part of Australia. Somehow I hope our nation returns to the heritage that it seems to have become ashamed of. An Australia where no matter where we came from we know we are lucky to be here and we stand by our country and our people no matter what. Such a beautiful song ❤️
@MarcosBryant-gk1jv
he has such an amazing voice
For some reason this song always makes me think of Steve Irwin's funeral. He did a great job there.
This song is absolutely timeless.
Such an underrated song.
Pure 'Australiana'.
This song is Australia's Amazing Grace. It's played at pretty much all funerals here
Thats because according to Wiki, it was his favorite song!
Listening and watching John singing this makes me so happy to be part of Australia. Somehow I hope our nation returns to the heritage that it seems to have become ashamed of. An Australia where no matter where we came from we know we are lucky to be here and we stand by our country and our people no matter what. I wasn't born here but I'm am happy to have been accepted and be a part of this great land. I hope I always feel or at least remember that we were and can still be "the Lucky Country".
Amazing how a song can inspire such deep feelings.
A big shout out to everyone in Oz; thinking of you with all of the devastation from the fires and extreme heat. Stay safe, stay strong, and stay True Blue!
thank u 4 sharing sue

Cheers Sue :)

or home among the gum trees
Waltzing Matilda?
How true blue is a dying race? Yeah it embodies Australia today
I heard this song today in a market in Brisbane, as I walked by in the crowd. Took me straight back to Steve Irwin and his funeral. I have to admit it brought on a few tears. Amazing, the power of music to take you back in time.

Wow. Life in the bush can be pretty good. Amazing photograhy. Dont forget the CWA. And as for the volunteer fire fighters. These bush fires have been horrendous. Love and prayers to everyone affected.

Even more important this year with the fires and the virus crisis.

@@deanggibbons8999 seems to be getting less and less as the years roll by
@@cletusmcshootyface4646 there are a lot of Australian hearts beating still mate, in city's but I think mostly in little country towns all around this big country, they are there, you just have to travel and see them when everything gets back to normal again, hopefully sometime this year things will be back to normal and state borders will be open all around OZ mate :)
This reminds me of a time in my past that Australia has lost forever.
This song has earned the title of the most Australian thing on the internet.
I used to live in the Country town in this song. Also I still have family there. Denman NSW.
Thank you
