She didn't even die on impact, she died later that night in hospital. The friend was pushed first after attempting to stop him from assaulting Eva. Witnesses saw scratch marks all over him which indicated that they tried to defend themselves.

I was raped 7 years later by some psycho that I rejected when I was 16, due to him being a step family member from my sisters dad and also I didn’t want him. Even after the rape he kept telling me he wanted me despite me telling him no and telling him I was going to call the police. He lied and forced this thing even with my own family members. His craze went on for a whole year.
He still has the nerve to cuss me out and accuse of ruining his life cause I told everyone what happened. As if I was supposed to keep quiet and let some psycho rape me and force himself on me.
    No means no. Point blank.

My heart sunk as soon as I saw the thumbnail. I’m a student at the same university for computer science as well and it’s weighed really heavily on our community in Urbana-Champaign. It’s an incredibly difficult program - she’s put in a tremendous amount of work over the past 4 years. I can’t believe somebody would do something like this and it’s just so sad. I didn’t know Eva personally, but she graduated from our BS-MCS program so she was going to go on to do great things in the field.

This happens around the world, not in one country. Especially in India where rejection is the leading reason behind acid attacks. A few survivors of these acid attacks started a cafe near the Taj Mahal since most survivors can't find work due to their appearance or disabilities from the attack. This gives them confidence and a way to earn money.
Not only are many left blind in one or both eyes, but they also lose fingers or hands since the first response to something thrown in the face is to shield or remove it with your hands. Also, I want to mention that the guy brings a friend along to hold the victim and keep her from blocking the acid.

It is so gruesome that it’s beyond your imagination. And for what? They had a fight. Maybe she said something he didn’t like.
This sick person HAS BEEN FREED by the Bulgarian justice system. Unfortunately we don’t have RUclipsrs or any modern famous people to shine some light on those things. I’m writing this in hopes people from around the world see that, so there’s justice for this girl, as well as every single woman in my country. I feel like maybe if we get famous for how weak and twisted our system is, then maybe there will be some change.

@@shin-ishikiri-no how is our environment gynocentric? Sure there are a lot of rules that cater to women. However, at the end of the day, men are at the top. Men are always the majority in positions of power. There’s also the wage gap and the fact that babies usually inherit the father’s last name. And a lot of the time when a couple gets married the woman takes the man’s surname. Since when do men take women’s surnames? Also most religions are very sexist. Sex education fails to inform a lot of men about how women’s bodies work. The social norms we have that cater toward women are in response to the fact that we live in a patriarchal society. The more we focus on women, the less patriarchal our society. The saying “boys will be boys” is used to excuse anything someone does because they are boys. There isn’t a saying like that for girls.

Dudes be replying with “not all men” but are missing the point that it’s enough of us to where it’s a problem. This is not an isolated incident, this happens very often, where a dude can’t handle rejection and goes for blood. And because so many men do this, every woman is gonna be on her guard if she’s approached by a guy in any context cause she doesn’t know how it could derail the moment she rejects him.
It doesn’t even have to be straight murder. A kick, a spit in the face, an insult, etc.

Being a veteran, I was "propositioned" countless times. The reactions of my refusal were the reasons why I left the service... Some people just can't take no for an answer, bad things happened my word as an E4 against the word of an E6 or higher no contest who wins in the military. But others took it a step further, they would get me in powerless positions, threaten me with rank, spend months hazing me, involving coworkers into haze me as well, attemting to break me down, and to train me to be the perfect victim... To include sleep deprivation, character assaination, isolation, and emotional abuse.
Most people don't enjoy kicking someone when they're down, but sadly, women are naturally already set up to be overpowered, this makes the scenario of being victimized more likely. This means we need to be mindful of where we are, how we talk, and how we dress to ensure we are NOT in a dangerous situation...
I believe in the best in people, but my life has shown me time and time again to expect the worst. This sets me up to be happily surprised when I get the better aspect of humanity. I have fallen victim to too many liars, manipulators, sweet talking creeps, back stabbers, cheaters, and abusers. I could have easily been that girl 10 yrs ago sadly. There are too many people out there looking for a weak, innocent woman, an easy victim. I've learned thru pain and suffering that if you as a female are not careful, you WILL. be. a. victim.

They already are in this comment section. Claiming that the problems young men face in today’s society are what generates cases like this.
*Entitlement has been around since the beginning of time and it has nothing to do with boys falling behind in the current educational system. These misguided people making up excuses in the name of men’s right are simply enabling and giving justifications for people like this dude.*
I guarantee you this isn’t the first time he has tried to assault a woman or that he’s been violent toward one. *And he probably made a lot of excuses for himself, maybe threw his own pity party about people being repulsed by him.* General consensus should be condemnation. *The way you help and prevent people like this killer is not by feeding into the false victim narrative they have created for themselves.*

As a woman I am careful how I reject romantic advances because you never know who will react violently even if you are nice about it. I have been cursed at, grabbed hard by my arm, had lies told on me. Just recently my friend and I were on a trip to Denver and were in the hotel lobby talking. There was another guest there from NYC. How did we know where he was from? The thick accent and because he was loudly shouting for no reason other than to 📣 to anyone with ears “I’m from New Yawk” blah blah and some other stuff about the lack of black people in Denver although no one asked or cared. (BTW my friend and I are two black people sitting in the lobby while he says there are no black people). I’m like okay I’m going to have to placate him because I know the type. so when he started talking to me I just smile and said whatever I said. He left me alone and started in with my friend. However my friend chose not to play his game and didn’t engage him. Since she didn’t respond he starts cursing her out and berating her in the lobby. The guy at the front desk didn’t say a word or even ask the guy to stop shouting. When the hotel sent me a questionnaire about my stay I put that in there. I would not be surprised if desk guy was fired.

Second, the neighbor with her comment of "They seemed like they were good people to me." When you don't know your neighbors and the media comes inquiring about them, just say you don't know them and keep it pushing. Or say you've never interacted with them. Also, for him to have the time, awareness, and inclination to push TWO women off of a bridge means, to me, that it was pre-meditated.
