I love how eloquently she speaks. I myself is a victim of this social media "pseudo puritanism" and I got backlashed for just saying what I think.

10:07 "And often it's very... 'tribally correct'. Which may not be 'intellectually correct'." - SO true.

She expresses ideas hidden with ideas; ideas subjugated by opinion and majoritarianism. I like to listen to the truth and although it may be mostly her truth, it is truth nonetheless and that has so much beauty.

Some black Americans are still baffled by Black people having British Accents which i find weird like dont Black Americans have accents? A lot Americans still think Africa is a Jungle and they all wear Leaves or run around naked with the Animals. Thats the Single story right therre.

Her accent isn't British, it's Nigerian. Nigerian English is based originally on British English but the phonetics, grammar, and lexicon are not the same and show influences of multiple African languages on the development of the dialect.

I find it odd that Chimamanda thinks this is a new phenomenon. It feels very Christian to me. It might be woven into the fabric of my (American) culture.
