I’d be careful assuming that models tested in one market / country are structurally the same in others. A key to crash worthiness is the amount of ultra high strength steel. You can easily safe money under the bonnet without being able to tell from the exterior of the car. Models from Volkswagen group are a good example.

VW Vento all test nicely handled. Side impact test , less damage to body structure. Nice car. A VW is any day preferred.

I liked swift dzire. Because it top the list.
Yaris is really a worst car for Indian roads, the whole of car front is crushed. If it hits truck or bus it's sure that front passenger and driver are definitely killed. In real life condition I has seen polo hitting the roadways bus at sector 46-47-48-49 traffic lights and it turning bus tilted. The driver of polo escaped with minor bruises.

Small overlap uses about 20% of cars front and frontal uses 40%! Its half the metal for impact = high severity of the damage entering cabin !

The crashtest you see your is done by iihs and it's a small overlap frontal crash test in which only 25% of vehicle front end hits the barrier and in that test this car got a marginal or poor rating
The ratings he is talking about is from euro ncap which is a different crash test facility. In that test the car's front end is hit against a deformable barrier and 40% of vehicle's front end collides with the barrier
Euro ncap gave it a 4 star rating, the crash test you see your is a different type of crashtest conducted by iihs in which this car failed
