Nice. Ive gotten into the scooter game myself getting a 2002 Honda Elite 80cc 4 Stroke.
Protective gear, insurance, title fees, ect set me back a bit. But dang, im getting around 90mpg on it. Max out at 42mph which is enough to run rhe access road that runs along the highway i normally take in to work.

I recently got my 2025 Roughhouse Sport. Tooled around slow til I got that first 100 miles on it. Now I'm using it to commute to work. Loving this scoot so far, thanks for helping me in the decision to get one. Hope you get to feeling better.

I think a 125/150 4-stroke Ruckus would be super popular…if they would make it

I've had my derestricted Genuine Scooter Company "Buddy 50" for about 6 years now, and I've 2500 awesome short-trip (only around town) miles on it. Like you, I get about 44 mph. I had, as a stable mate, an incredible Kawasaki Ninja 400 KRT ABS, which I could control almost telepathically - it was that responsive.
My Buddy's current stable mate is a 2018 Honda Grom, 125cc, which, being a "Honda" is wonderful. It's top speed is about 60 mph, so it doesn't go on turnpikes and other high speed roads.

Does 50cc makes sense Today with ebike capable of 28mph, no registration, & no insurance? Can U make a videos about this 🙏. I may get a Honda 160cc PCX scooter but I think 50cc no longer makes sense

Valid point. I lightly covered that in this video:

    Got a 2023 sport. 0:55 Thank you.
This is my 2ed RHS. Frist one was D-restricted at 50 miles when i got it. 8 years later and 6,500 sold it to a coworker and he likes it. (2016).
180 miles on the NEW restricted scooter (2023).,
I am 120lbs wet, got a ticket with my old bike... Can't get a Waring in a school zone with my new one...... Yet.. ;)
A bike that lasts, is all I ask..

I have a complete spare RoughHouse Sport engine (including rear wheel) if you know of anyone looking for a backup or build engine

Is the 200cc bike a lot more to insure? I don't think any of them are expensive, at least for liability. In my area, insurance is a major factor. I live in one of the most expensive insurance markets in the US. Philly is so bad, people used to register their car in NJ (the highest insurance state in the US) to get a break on their insurance. When I first started driving in the late 80s, just liability, the minimum state mandated coverage was 3,600 per year. 300 bucks a month in 1988 Dollars.

Wowzers! Luckily, not the case for me in Alabama. As far as the 200cc, for some reason it is actually less to ensure than the Roughhouse by about $30 a year. 🤷

I remember 1990 in central IL my 1st used car was $120 a month just for liability. The car itself cost $300 so 3 months of liability insurance coverage cost more than the whole car= total scam to screw young people. Minimum wage $3.35 so you had to work like 50 hrs just to cover insurance. Then gas was about $1.20 a gallon plus car maintenance oil, parts etc...
I wish I had known how to build a 37 mph $120 motorized bicycle back then. But of course cops would pull you over back then. Moped 🛵 insurance probably would have been a ripoff also at $60 a month.

I love the scooter videos, have you considered going for any small moto's like the XL150 or a Grom? It could be a fun side-project and they seem to hold their value pretty well. Just find a dealer who doesn't upcharge like crazy. There's a place near me called Action Honda who doesn't have bad dealer fees, I'm guessing they're corporate.
It's hard to find a good dealer for low-end stuff, when I was looking at the Navi all the super local places were trying to charge $500+ dealer fees, on top of tax tag and title!

That would be fun, but won’t happen. From what I understand this bike only exists because Taiwan and the US grandfathered this engine’s approval as long as they don’t change it (or until they change their mind)

Would be awesome if that scooter could cruise at 55mph but still sip gas like a 150cc maybe....You could convert it into an adventure 🛵 scooter by adding a front windscreen, hand guards, maybe some front storage compartments. That would also deflect wind & bugs from hitting your legs. Along with rear saddlebags. You could hold lots of gear & go on cross country camping adventurers.
At almost 100mpgs which is why I'm switching from motorcycles. To something smaller that can cruise at 55mph, carry a lot of cargo & get around 100mpgs.
If a van doesn't have a bathroom 🚽 shower 🚿 like an RV. I can't getting 14mpgs just to be in a metal box.
I like the idea of a rugged off road cool looking scooter. So despite it being only a scooter. You won't look dorky riding at Sturgis.
