Qatar has been an independent sovereign state since 1971. It is one of the six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the others being Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Qatar comprises an 11,500 sq. km peninsula extending northwards into the Arabian Gulf. It has 563 km of uninterrupted coastline. The country’s population stands at 2.69 million and its capital city is Doha.
Qatar has a desert climate with year-round sunshine, hot summers and mild winters. Mean monthly temperatures range from 17°C in January to 36°C in July, sometimes reaching highs of 40°C+ during the summer. Rain is infrequent, falling in brief showers mainly in winter.

The road and buildings are spotless.... Insanely and flawlessly clean

@@reallyjustrandom1230 DOHA's downtown is pretty much in its infancy. The major downtown in US cities are a hundred years older.
I had been to Doha last year. Believe me I was awestruck driving through the city. My God! For a minute I felt as if I have landed in a simulated city. Couldn't believe my eyes seeing those architectural marvels. Seemed as if each building is competing with the rest. It looks as if the city is well planned and ahead of its times. Definitely world cup crowd who ll be there will definitely enjoy the country.
And by the way my next country on the list is Abu Dhabi. I am not a travel vlogger. Just working on short term projects in Gulf countries, 12 hrs a day and on field at 48 degree Celsius. We visit these countries and yet can't fully enjoy it. That's Life and WE ARE MECHANICAL ENGINEERS!

Qatar is absolutely gorgeous. I stayed in Qatar for around 8 years and looking at this video really made me nostalgic. I think it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Hope to go back someday.

Qatar was subordinate to the Emirates and separated from the Emirates in 1966 and in 1971 the Emirates called for the annexation of Qatar, but Qatar preferred not to return to the Emirates and wanted to be a new country

There should not be a comparison between Doha and Dubai. Dubai is aimlessly, rapidly developing in return for growing financially and economic dominant prosperity. Doha is planning development and taking gradual steps for long term prosperous growth, while preserving its values.
Let me ask you something. Have you ever been to Dubai before? You're saying that Dubai is a bad and terrible city. Also if you don't like Dubai how about you go to Abu Dhabi then? We have much more to offer you than Dubai. I'm so glad you're saying this because you have never been to The UAE Before

I have been to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. You misundertood my statement about Dubai. I am not saying it is a bad and terrible city. In terms of development, this emirate has spent a fortune to rapidly overgrow and become what it is today. People from around the world dream of visiting or living there for what it offers; not me. I do not like projects that aim purely for financial profit, without considering humanitarian values and losing stability. I agree with you that Abu Dhabi has different standards of living, and its development is at a more considerate level in terms of values. If time goes back, I would have chosen to settle down in Abu Dhabi rather than Dubai, whether I have family members there or not. In Abu Dhabi, I enjoyed luxury without compromising social security and well being.

I worked here 10 years a go when many of these buildings were under construction. I'm from England and was treated extremely well, however, these buildings were built by slave labour. I spoke to men who had their passports taken away, hadn't travelled home or seen their families in 6 years and lived like dogs in dormitories.
