      Leah yes I have to agree that a Jacket Potato is so good it's brilliant when it's kept simple 👍 said to Mrs B that it's so easy to forget how simple and easy a Jacket is that we always love em when we remember them

    I’ve recently bought two air fryers.
    The way you’ve cooked the jackets would be the logical way I’d do them too.
    Not tried them yet but will be doing.
    I’m doing all sorts of other stuff-in them. them.
    Made 5 loaves of bread the other day.
    I usually make 4 from the same amount of dough but made five to cut down the height of the rise xx

    The following question may sound a bit odd but I have never used an air fryer before and so please bear with me but does the food which is cooked in an air fryer taste like it has been baked/roasted in an oven or more like it has been pan fried with a small amount of cooking oil?
    I remember when our oven suddenly stopped working and so we tried "roasting" the chicken and potatoes in a pan on the hob but the chicken smelled like meat that is browned just before you cook it properly and it tasted nothing like a roast chicken. The potatoes tasted like sautéed potatoes and were hard in the middle. (I should have cut them in half after parboiling them).
    I don't mind chips tasting like roast potatoes as I love roasties and I always bake chips in the oven anyway but I don't like roast potatoes tasting like sautéed potatoes. Also, sometimes I like the taste of pan fried or grilled chicken wings if that's what I am craving but I like a roast dinner to taste like an old fashioned roast and not something that tastes more like it has been fried in a pan.

      Gi, honestly it tastes just like its been baked in the oven, the air fryer works really well and I do whole chicken which also taste and feel like they have been oven roasted. I have never noticed any issues with flavour compared to actual oven roasting or baking. Hope this helps and thank you 😊

    Good idea except for me as I don’t have a microwave as we never used ours so didn’t bring it with us when we moved to rural Scotland 😢

    How long does a jacket take in a ninja without the pre-microwave? I hardly use my mickey, and would like to save desk-space... jackets & scrambled eggs are all i use it for! cheers

      25mins depending on size of the potato 👍

  • @dafyddiago

    Why use two different cookers ? Jacket in a Microwave is 9 minutes. Normal oven can be as much as 45 minutes. Air fryer from start to finish on its own ?????

    • @BramhallDoes
      @BramhallDoes  Год назад +1

      The potato is far superior after the initial microwave then air fryer, there are definitely other ways to do this though like you suggest 👍

      @@tinamorton9521. Because by the time you’ve got your pressure cooker up to pressure you would have microwaved it and be finished!
