Here's a fun idea to double your content: For every "weird rule change" video, you take the worst team (in this case Nottingham Forest) and try to get a better result for the team with the same rule set. In "commentary only" mode with a lot of delegation, a season can be done in an hour or two.
That's actually a really sick! Idea, i'll defo take that into consideration for future videos like this!

Not too surprised about Chelsea, even with all those suspensions, they should still have a few full youth squads left, as the depth is just insane.
Crazy in the original sim, how with all these suspensions, crazy score lines and most teams having greyed out players all the relegated sides still finished with a better points total than Derby did 💀

Cracking video and more out-of-the box mayhem - might liked to have seen in the one-year sim what clubs tried to do (or didn't do) in the January transfer window to repair the damage.
You should do a video like this but add in more English leagues. Like the whole English pyramid. So all the leagues below national south and north. Would be funny to see a team from amateur/semi-pro go all the way up to Premier League.
I think the lower leagues aren't as crazy because the grey filler players are a lot better comparatively to the rest of the team than in the PL. In fact I'd wager getting down to the greyed out players in non-league might even improve the squad.

Yes indeed! There was an issue with the save at the end of season 1 so we had to sort some stuff out ahead of season 2. This meant that i couldn't get a recap done in time for the the stream. The recap for Season 2 will basically be a double length video that covers both of the first 2 seasons. Then after that it'll be back to one every season :)

In this actual world we live in. They cannot guarantee that the same amount of northern and southern teams get relegated and promoted in any specific season. So they rearrange the leagues a little but still need the same number of teams. So the most northern of the southern will play in the northern league and vice versa.
I can’t even imagine how you’d play the rest of the game after getting a yellow knowing it’s your last game for a year
I suspect the lower leagues were more normal because the real players are worse so the gap between them and the greyed-out players is smaller.
I love the idea of a world where a player commits a niggly, cynical foul pulling someone's shirt to stop a counter in the first game of the season, the immediate panic knowing their season could be over, and the referees being so ruthless as to still give the yellows that ends seasons as freely as ever.

Hi Second yellow card, i love your content, as i recently came across it randomly. I was hoping you could help me out with a small problem.
I am trying to use the pre-game editor to edit gibraltar rules that require 5 home grown player to be in the starting 11, but for some reason it isn't allowing me to edit it, as it's part of the other nation category listing and when i try to convert to advanced rules it says the nation must have one league. since you and your editor friend rejigged malta recently, can you help me figure out a way around this? would set up my save for the entire fm24 cycle

Hey Kushnal, not really related to your question but I spent 3 weeks creating a custom Gibraltar database with 3 leagues of 20 custom clubs each (60 total), with custom kits, logos etc. There is one or two mistakes here and there, like historic records not showing properly, but its very playable. Squad rules match UEFA competitions as closely as I can make it. If you want, you can use it? All teams start identical (so it's not that difficult initially with a few good transfers) except my 10 original teams from FM22 which have a tiny boost to rep out of nostalgia from me based on historic performance on that previous 10 team save back in 2022. Only other issue is that if you want in game kit colours to match kit images, you'll have to do that yourself, either in the editor or ingame using the ingame editor, I usually change a kit before the first time I play a league game against them. Eventually you'll get everyone.

@@juliangreengiant I think imma rotate between that and Wales, I'm a sucker for long term saves. I ported over my fm23 Newtown save 15 seasons in in fm24, only to realise that the youth recruitment glitch fucked me over and ruined my entire save, thus driving me to Gibraltar for my FM24 cycle save

I think the best route to success would be a tactic with stay on feet as part of it, then low pressing, having ease out tackles on every player, as well as easing of tackles in the opposition instructions, you'd get clapped initially but would make one hell of a comeback!
@@Secondyellowcard that's kind of my thoughts too but it's so easy to still get yellows, and imagine it would be madness trying to get a competitive team going and then boom yellow card haha, such a cool experiment mate and great production of video too
Painful as a Forest fan, until I remembered that a squad of kids and greyed out players still did better than the real life Derby County 2007/08 😂 Forever the worst team in history!
