this is too creepy, i'm calling The Police
Good pun
*slow clap*
You absolute madlad.
Now I finally get what Davie504 is going on about 😂
Nice one
How appropriate. Sting has said that the song is about a stalker and is confused by the popularity of the track as recorded by The Police at weddings.
Sting's version is how it sounds in the stalker's mind.
Melodicka Bros' version is how it sounds for the stalker's victim.
@@Ysckemia Very good analysis.
Kinda makes you wonder how many people MARRY their stalkers!
💀
@@jondecarbonel8158 Dude... that's creepy lol. Perhaps domestic violence cases are results of this match up.
@@snow5962 And in the romcoms stalking is just another way od showing that someone cares for another person. It's kinda shocking, that for quite a long time I couldn't see, how terrible many of the cinematic clishees are. As a teen and very young adult I didn't recognize, how many bad behaviors are put in there. E.g. I used to like "Love Actually" and find this movie heart-warming, despite the fact, that I saw, that one of the storylines was pretty harsh. Somr time ago I watched this romcom again and I felt so disappointed, for I experienced it a much different way than I remembered. Now I see, how inappropriate it is, to talk with your coworker about personal stuff just out of blue and that there are no boundries set between the (male) bosses and the (female) employees. I see, how passive the women are, even in the situations, when they should react - disagree to the way they are treated or just runaway. Not mentioning the grand absurd the character performed by Liam Neeson teaches his son in law, and the language he uses, and so on...
As if "Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take
I'll be watching you" wasn't creepy enough
Also, I swear I heard him say "Every *_bone_* you break"...
I always thought it's "every BONE you break".
The song is meant to be creepy. Basically from a stalker/ex-lover's point of view
@@ddragonvic Sting himself said he was appalled at how many people had it for their wedding song.
Super cheese pizza
The musical equivalent to "why font matters" haha
I appreciate your contribution to this comment section the most. The very most.
Yes XD
As a designer, I couldn't agree more.
THIS COMMENT IS UNDERATED
The original song is about a stalker; it’s creepy either way, this just makes it more obvious
I always get creeped out when people play this at their wedding.
People do that ?
Yupp and it’s creepy
Indeed... People are weird
Sting himself has commented on this wedding phenomenon and how he finds it odd as the song is about a stalker.
I've...never heard this at a wedding but ok...I can believe that. People are def weird.
So basically... Every Breath You Take - Marilyn Manson.
Feat Rammstein
kinda has a "a7x - a little piece of heaven" vibe to it
Alanpiggy123 bro what? Only when he whispers like when they are saying vows
more like Project Pitchfork
Pls no rammstein
Finally, the way this song is meant to be played/sung, as God intended.
...what?!
@@KremIsis Every Breath you take was inspired by 1984, a novel by George Orwell about a dystopic future where everybody is constantly watched by the govern, personified by a figure called Big Brother. Sting once mentioned in a interview that he thinks it's hella weird when people consider it a love song or play it at wedding parties.
@@Jacque_Ellen I know. You still haven't convinced me this is by any means superior to the original... sorry. I'm really sorry, but the Police are way more interesting. I love these guys, but to compliment them, it's not necessary to become heretic.
@@KremIsis no problem, bro. I kinda like The Police version too. After all, it's a classic!
@@Jacque_Ellen I always thought that the song was about a stalker, stalking a girl. And that's because Sting think it's weird that people consider it as a lovesong.
Millennials: that stalker song by The Police was creepy
MELODICKA BROS: Hold my beer
Ok boomer
@@user-lt4iq5hd5n actually, I'm a Gen X-er, my parents are boomers and my kids are millennials. Nice try, though
@Victor Masson I'm afraid I have no idea on that. Baby boomers are entitled? I always thought that was what people said about Millennials, but maybe I'm wrong.. TBH, I'm not sure what any of the has to do with my comment. But whatever...
@@TruckDrivinGamer Ok Xoomer
@@user-lt4iq5hd5n lol 🤪
This is a love song the same way Joker/Harley is a romance.
Infatuation is a type love.
Elizabeth Einspanier THIS!
Dude it's a love song from Joker to Bruce Wayne!
@@soapster7000 BWAHAHAHA!!! :'D
In fact, this would make a really good song to put over Joker/Harley moments in whatever the next movie with the two of them will be
I've always thought of this song in this way. So stalkerish
it is, for real.
It's about the betrayal inherent in a divorce where one party is clearly not over the other and the resulting fixation. I have no idea how anybody ever mistook it for anything else.
@Liberty or Death why would you think that? he wrote the lyrics autobiographical.
Sounds like Ghost, Marylyn Manson and SOAD have a baby
nailed it, except for ghost lmao
Sounds like Sentenced
The father is actually The Police
@@ars85202 what
This exist, is called Avatar, listen to Smells Like a Freakshow and Murderer is exactly this
the cinematography in this has no right to be this good
Glad you notice the improvement! :)
Creepy guy: oh my poor heart aches, with every step you take!
Me: and I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more...
Tamar Leader -Just to be the one who walks 1000 miles away from your creepy ass.
@@prettypoison5788 Just to be the one who walks 1000 miles(from my grave) to fall down at you're door.
Just to be the one who walks a 1000 miles just to hear your deadly score🎼
I like your proclamation there.
@@douglasdees2549 Fuck you and everything about you.
I've always referred to this as 'The Stalker Song' because the lyrics are so creepy. Turns out it actually CAN be creepier, just as it should be. Well done!
It was intended and written as a song from a perspective of someone who stalks his ex-lover, so you were spot on.
Original lighthearted style just threw the meaning off a little bit, probably by design, just like Pumped Up Kicks did.
Me too. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one.
@B Ball
Well let's see... Sting, who wrote the song immediately after a nasty breakup, told reporters "he was disconcerted by how many people think the song is more positive than it is. He insists it is about the obsession with a lost lover, and the jealousy and surveillance that follow."
So yeah. There's that.
I’ve always called it “Stalker’s Anthem”
*looks at the description*
I never thought I'd hear something described as *Circus Metal*, but I kind of want to hear more of it now.
Go look up Avatar, Smells Like a Freak show ;) *Circus Metal* is what this song is all about!
someone has described to me Mr.Bungle has coming out of a circus
i wont say that but definitely you have a circus vibe outta them
i want to take this opportunity to thank both of the former commentors for their recommendations.
either are great to explore imo - lovely to find recommendations like this.
Check out the swedish band A.C.T and also Diablo Swing Orchestra!
@@CarlHenrikRehn Diablo swing is great, those i already know ^^
I'll look through my followed artists for some similar acts once I'm back home.
This needs to be the intro song of the Netflix series : You
i was thinking the same XD
Just commented the same thing lol
#truth - that show is creepy and this is the perfect tone for it.
When you want to sleep but your inner Dracula wants some blood.
To be honest, I think this is a better interpretation of the original, given the lyrics. You've done a great job.
In my opinion the cover from Chase Holfelder is the best.
This sounds like it should be in a Tim Burton movie...
It so does. Like, Sweeney Tod.
Oh definitely
How a song about stalking someone should actually sound.
CidGuerreiro1234 Hahahahahaha 🤣
The original one is how it seems to the stalker, and this one is how it seems to the victim.
@@milkzealot1260 Yikes!
It has been such a long time since I've got so interested in a music RUclips channel, seriously. I don't skip a single upload and I love the kind of videos you put out, keep up with the good work!
Thank you so much bro! Get ready cause there are a lot of weird covers coming this month \m/
This song actually is about someone who is obsessed with an ex lover!
Why does everybody think that nobody knows this?
@@Coorniable Every single body definitely does not think no single body knows this. Otherwise every body would know mate and that's impossible. You're telling me a child born today can know this? Get the beep outta hee with your poopie doop.
@Romain Rouille No. Sting is very clear that the song is about stalking an ex-lover.
Thanks, captain. Now fly away
@@rapid13 actually I read it was about stalking a rapist!
Few men can pull off the eyeliner look, Depp and the singer are some of the few. Also, nice cover hehe.
If The Police had just done it this way the first time, we wouldn't have to hear it at so many weddings.
This sounds like it would fit perfectly into "The Crow"
This interpretation actually showed me how creepy that song is
Idk if this song is supposed to be about a stalker or about the government.
I'd trust the good intentions of the stalker more than the government's.
@B Ball r/wooooosh
This is like a Ghost cover of the song.
I'm about to comment the same
@@destianpatrianagara1119 me too
Very much so!!
Partially....
Proof that arranging a song differently can change its meaning.
This is INCREDIBLE!! I would love to use part of this in my upcoming trailer on Saturday! I'll give y'all and shoutout! Keep up the amazing work!
Did you use it? If so can you tell me in which one? :D
*When Lamb of God has to tone it down for a local carnival performance...*
I've always found the song rather sinister but this takes it to another level I love this rock on dudes
Interesting interpretation. I don’t hate it, but I can’t say I love it, either. The musicianship is great. If you’re going for something that sends a chill down the spine, you have done it.
I was expecting something more akin to Coil's cover of Tainted Love but this Manson-esque cover is great. I strangely find it less creepy than the original though.
Less contrast. In this style you expect creepy lyrics, less so in soft rock.
Now, that's the best reinterpretation of this song 🖖😁
Damn, this version's awesome as well
sempai can't run away if he doesn't notice you aproaching with the knife
Yeah. Melodic doom. Edit: combined with some Manson-like stuff. Love it.
"stalker right stalker right!!", love this version
The Joker is stalking some poor woman again.
I think this is the way this song was always meant to be sung
1:17 actually an amazing shot wth
Kinda wanna make it my lock screen but idk...
Do it!
Go for it:)
What a coincidence I paused right at that moment to read the comments
Same!
Gettin' a HIM wibe here.
I like it.
Sublime. A force of nature
This might be my new favorite on this channel!
Most covers on this channel completely take the song out of context. This one definitely doesn't.
theie in the end cover made me see it ina new light
So basically everyone in the coments has already pointed out, that this song was always meant to be creepy, so I'd like to point out something else: I love the darkness and the goth-vibes of the music and also the video. Also Dave with eyeliner and Joe wearing all black makes them look like too goths on a saturday night getting ready for the party and I just love that look.
Definite weird, creepy, stalker vibes. I love it!
PERFECT!!!!!!!! I've always thought this was a stalker song!!!!!!
I would absolutely love a Happy - Rammstein Cover :D
How fitting! Bit of a polka. 'Now, show me the way to the next Whiskey Baaaar'
Wonderfully done! Great singing, more with that Beatley tune. Easy to do with the Police
I have no words..mind blowing..lol
This is so not creepy, its amazing, and kinda sexy to be honest lol, and no I dont mean that stalkers are sexy, im focusing on the sounds and styling.
This gives me a strange vibe. Like Marilyn Manson mixed with Nightmare before Christmas. Super spooky.
That combination happened. Marilyn Mansion did a cover of This is Halloween.
You two are such legends! I honestly think you could go big on the music stage, with the sounds you can create, the diversity of things you can make, and the feeling you bring to your performances. Keep on keeping on lads!
This is how the song was meant to be sung!
To be fair... Sting has mentioned that the song really is about a dude who's unhealthily obsessed with a woman...
Please do "Bullet" - Hollywood Undead, way too depressing version.
Omg. Just awesome! ❤❤
Every clingy pet ever.
Also the anthem of ALL possessive lover themed Wattpad novels.
so... the Merkins dropped a Cover of this song, sung by Jason Voorhees a view hours ago. :-D Both versions a Pretty good!
I wanted to comment that too !
I immediately thought about the Merkins cover when I saw Jason's mask 😹
Same
Yes, just made a comment about Merkins vid before I saw yours. :)
What's funny is, if my former boss hadn't done something similar before I quit, I'd say this is the creepiest cover... but no... I'd say hands down my former employer. He still stalks my LinkedIn and the rest of my online profiles. I should put up a profile on Match.com just to see how far he'll go.
Excellent as usual.
One of your finest piece of work so far!!!
Oh Damn - Me a few seconds after realizing what this was
Sounds so much like the Swedish Melodic death metal band Avatar
Awesome 👍
His voice is gorgeous I wouldn't mind being stalked at all!
This is how the song should have gone.
Sounds like this is the original and the original is a "way too emotive" version
As someone mentioned, Sting said this song was about a stalker, and, having been stalked, I've never understood why people think it's such a beautiful love song. This cover gives it the vibe originally intended. Thank you!
When the twist villain is revealed and you finally notice all of the foreshadowing
The people who believe this song is about a sane relationship scares me lol
Now do Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby. Equally creepy.
Love this!
yet another AWSOME Cover! love you guys! keep it up!

Perfectly balanced
Too disturbing...
Please, someone call the Police... 😂
I hope I'm not the only one who originally think this song as... mildly creepy tho...
You read it from an avocado 🥑
gotcha
Such an amazing cover! I love it so much!
Oh, woow 😍 just beautiful!
Sorry, the original is creepier. It's like this: what do you consider creepier, someone yelling at you that they're going to kill you, or someone saying it with a smile?
Creepy and excellent!
I love it, Great job guys!
Thats incredible cover ! Love it !
That voice & music sent shivers down my spine.
Awesome!
This.Is.Awesome!
Ugh I absolutely love this!
Love this. Keep it up y'all
Impresionante, siempre pensé que la letra debía ser interpretada así
Amazing.
The song and style are very fitting. Love it
I love your versions so much!
Always thought the Police were creepers with this... Melodicka Bros are reminiscent of Hannibal Lecter 😍
I love it!
The instrumentation on this is awesome. Every verse has a new detail that adds so much depth to the cover. Nice job.
The original song was already way too much creepy, but I completely needed this version in my life ❤️❤️
You guys are amazing! Please keep delighting us with more of these. Greetings from Latinamerica ✌️
This turned out great! Love it
Amazing
Brilliant my friends 😎👍👊✌️
