Eric wiped that smirk right off her face.That's the problem with Blair. It's always a game with her. Everything is not a game. These are people's lives. She knew she was wrong. That's why she got quiet.
this is a 15 year old? we are dealing with. life hasnt been easy for her. she was bulimic, her father came out after years of marriage and her mother ignored her at this point. she becomes much nicer later on. everyone has a bad side to them. Serena could be nasty too.
So Serena Chuck and Nate all get a free pass and yet Blair gets crucified? Sounds so fair
because Blair was malicious in almost everything she did. And when things don't go her way she has a tantrum. She had no reason to target Serena to that degree. SHe already had her revenge for the affair and cheating teen romance is a whole different level to serious medical problems. But she felt so threatened by Serena coming back that she was determined to do anything. Chuck was just a general jerk, Nate was clueless and Serena was only nasty if you wronged her first. It's amazing that she had any friends the ways she treated people. Serena was a saint to put up with her

Because Blair's power comes from people being scared of what she thinks of them. Eric doesn't care what she thinks of him and she knows it. Also most people pussyfoot around Blair. But Eric is the only one who will come out directly and tell her that she's a bad person. It's not something Blair is used to hearing or what she wants to hear so she doesn't know how to handle it.

@lilah no need to be rude. Blair is an insecure mean girl. She thinks if she's seen to be doing good things then people will like her and she wants to be in control. Yet she doesn't understand why Serena is so popular- because she is genuinely nice and craves her power. She's a bit Cruel Intentions and a bit Regina George. Serena keeps trying to be friends with her for some reason but Eric just tells her to go screw herself. His character is probably one of the better changes from the written series
Yep agreed that Blair cared about Eric. She said so herself when she wanted to out Jenny’s fake boyfriend who kissed Eric before the confrontation but she said she wouldn’t reveal it cos it was about someone she cared about (then Eric burst into the scene and announced it himself).

Blair was intolerable throughout the entire show. A spoilt little brat who claimed to want to make something of herself and step out of her mother's shadow but didn't hesitate for a second when her mother offered her the company. Plus stringing along THREE guys was just pathetic. Ugh. What a cruel and selfish woman.

Someone being down-to-Earth doesn't mean they aren't also suicidal. Eric was gay and had trouble dealing with that at the beginning of the show.

Yeah so Blair is a deeply hated character throughout season 1 but she quickly climbs the ranks to be a favorite by the end of the series.

I felt bad for Eric here. Not Serena because she lost all my respect the moment she cheated. She was just really hard to root for unlike Eric. Blair was awful in her own ways but she owned up to her bad aspects. Serena didn't.
