As someone who watched some MCU stuff but never really jumped into the comics, I quite like this series. Keep up the good work!

Secret Invasion was a bad show anyway. It's like The Flash movie lacking Grant Gustin's cameo, they simply don't care about the fans at all, simple as that.
Secret Invasion was my last hope of the MCU throwing us AoS fans a crumb. Couldn't even do that. And the show being a terrible waste of time made that feeling worse.
It’s not like they’d have to spend a ton of money on getting Adrianne Palicki. They could even have gotten Chloe Bennett to pop in as Quake.

Spy's goodbye from agents of shield is one of my favourite scenes from any Marvel show

Skrulls and other shapeshifters love to take the place of people who are about to die, it is one of their favorite things to do, they just love dying in place of people.
Imagine finding out your one purpose in life with an ability as versatile and useful as shapeshifting is to be a person's deathdouble.
I really like Mockingbird. I started saving up my credits when she was announced so I could get the keys while she was in the spotlight to guarantee I pull her.
Managed to get her out turn 1 once because the first location was the collapsed mine and those four rocks count.
Hawkeye's wife was Agent 19, retired to have a family, Bobbi Morse became new Agent 19.
So... why not Agent 20 xP
I hope they do this. Adrianne Palicki's Bobbi Morse deserves it, and she'd fit right in with the remaining Avengers.

Interestingly enough one of the members of the army that was summoned was none other than Henrich Himmler the leader of the SS. This could easily have resulted in a plot line in which Magneto upon finding out about Himmlers return teams up with Hawkeye and Mockingbirds team in a attempt to get revenge on Himmler for the death of his family. Himmler was one of the main architects of the Holocaust thus making him partially responsible for the deaths of Magnetos family thus giving Magneto a motive to team up with Hawkeye and Mockingbird’s team in a attempt to get revenge.
she was genuinely so cool in agents of shield, if they ever bring that version of the character back i might even get caught up with the MCU, quake too, they really should bring some of the agents of shield characters into the cannon tbh
She's called Mockingbird because she's Marvel's "Black Canary", obviously.
I had the same thought lol! Fights with a staff, marries the main bow and arrow guy, blonde, went through a bunch of retcons..... gotta have that bird name.

I always saw it as Bobbi is Hawkeye's sister-in-law when it came to the MCU, and his wife is the key. S.H.I.E.L.D was compromised, which means that Clint's oldest son would have his information leaked...and that wouldn't make any sense to take him to New York if he's the son of the two greatest super spies, he'd be at the top of every kidnapper's list as he'd have to have a public trace to be classed as a human. However, if Mockingbird is Laura's sister it would make more sense because the watch would be a sentimental keepsake and a lead to Bobbi's location (which she'd need to keep a secret because of the events that took place in Agents of SHIELD)
Same here. Maybe Laura was the og Mockingbird, and when she retired she passed the name to her little sister or something.
Yup, that's my head cannon too. Bobbi is Laura's sister. Also would have liked a cameo from her in endgame where she and hunter were hunting down Ronin for Black Widow
In AoS Bobbi is never referred to as Mockingbird or Agent 19, in the SDCC 2014 announcement she’s called Mockingbird but I don’t think that’s cannon
i might be misremembering but i think they finally reference her being mockingbird around the time she leaves the show
@@ping4d064 I saw somewhere that they say “Bird” but I don’t remember. I was mainly going of the MCU wiki and they don’t have Mockingbird listed as a name she used (Except the SDCC).
@@ping4d064No, they never refer to her as Mockingbird or Agent 19 in the show. She’s only ever Agent Barbara “Bobbi” Morse. There is a scene where “Bird” is referenced, but they’re referring to the plane that Bobbi is flying, not Bobbi herself.
I still want Bobbi from Agents of SHIELD to show up in the MCU (maybe a second season of Hawkeye?) and have it revealed that she was a friend of Hawkeye's wife, and she disappeared leaving only the watch... So Hawkeye's wife was a different SHIELD Agent, and just kept the watch as a memento, thinking Bobbi was dead.

You mention how often trying to recreate the Captain America super power formula is a plot point that appears everywhere, connected to that I’m always impressed how often side characters end up using some variation of said super soldier serum.
In the world of marvel comics it always seems like every single scientist is working on a super soldier serum, and they’re always looking for someone to test their only available copy of said serum. It doesn’t matter who you are if you end up in a hospital in the world of marvel and you don’t already have super powers there’s a 50/50 chance that the doctor has decided that you’d be the perfect test subject for their version of the super soldier serum.
Wow, I thought I basically knew what Mockingbird's deal was, but I had no idea she started out as a Ka-Zar supporting character, or had a connection to Man-Thing, or anything about this ghost cowboy nemesis... sheesh! Thanks for the lesson!

I read the Unstoppable wasp series a few months ago, and Nadia’s relationship with Bobbi was really cute.
I would like to think Agent 19 (Hawkeye) retired from being a field agent to be a mother and have her first child, and then Bobby Morse (AOS) became agent 19/ mockingbird afterwards almost as a promotion. I hope if we ever get a west coast avengers show or storyline in one of the Disney + series, they bring back Adriana to reprise her role from AOS, wouldn’t be hard to reintroduce her in my opinion, have her team up with Kate Bishop

Hey, first off great video as always. I just wanted to say that I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and honestly going through your old videos has been really helpful for me. Things feel extra heavy lately and your impeccable storytelling about characters I love, your delivery and the way you speak about everything MCU in a positive light instead of leaning on the easy "MSHEU" bs is refreshing and helps me when I'm down! Long winded, and I dunno if you'll see this but I just wanted to let you know I love your content.
Mockingbird's card is also pretty good in Ka-Zar and Shanna decks, since they like spamming small cards

I really liked her character in Agents of SHIELD and really am disappointed that they buried that show and ignore it, rather than keeping it canonical. Considering sticking up the movies' canon was one of the things that really hampered the first season to begin with

She had a kind of important role in the Marvel Avengers Alliance game on Facebook way back in the early 2010's
Agents of Shield and the other shows are still considered canon. Yes, most of those characters have yet to show up in the movies or Disney Plus series, but it's generally agreed that at this point (and a stance I've held since the beginning) that's not good enough evidence to say that they aren't canon.

So my mockingbird knowledge just comes from AoS and then the quick reveal in Hawkeye. Seeing her comic look reminds me of Black Canary. Are there Green Arrow/Black Canary and Hawkeye/Mockingbird parallels or am I just assuming things?

What do you mean there are no other examples of characters from the shows appearing in the movies besides Jarvis?

It's not so much that he forgot as it is that the pre-Disney Plus MCU shows are generally divided into groups based on where they initially aired and/or where most of the connections are, in this case he's talking about the group of Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, and Inhumans, which is a separate group from the Defenders Saga stuff that includes Daredevil.
In other words, he's not saying out of all the pre-Disney Plus shows, he's meaning specifically out of the group of Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, and Inhumans that the butler Jarvis is the only character from that group to appear in the Sacred Timeline of the MCU.
@@lordofninjas1 Except that's not what he said. He said that besides Jarvis there have never been any instances of characters who originated in the shows also appearing later in the movies. He never specified any groups.
@@nathanieldiaz5254 while that's not what he said verbally (at least at that point), that's what he intended by what he said and just said it in a way that was a bit confusing if you take just that bit of it by itself. Looking at the larger context of what was discussed in the video, he had talked about Agents of Shield and such prior to that point throughout the video, so it's clearer that that was what he was meaning.

Isn’t that the whole point, that’s it’s gross and disgusting. That’s basically what the first season of the Jessica Jones show was about

Carol Danvers examples the Avengers were happy to let Carol walk off into the sunset with a man who clearly mind controlled her and raped her. In the above example Hawkeye can't understand why Mockingbird wouldn't save the life of a man who mind controlled her and raped her. In both cases the narrative presented is 'it's not that big a deal' as if it's a bad thing but nothing someone should be that upset or traumatized over.
Years later when newer (not gross writers) reevaluated these type of stories they correctly point out how horrific this these events are, that's when you get the Jessica Jones style stories where it's viewed as horrible to mind control someone to have sex with them... but it shouldn't have taken that long to realize it.
I mean, you say Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't canon anymore... and it probably isn't, but you never know, the Netflix Series are canon now apparently, so it could happen.
It would be a bit more difficult to justify given everything that happened with the Inhumans in the ABC Verse but still! It could. Hell, the two "YA Series" could too, I may strongly Runaways but I'll take more Cloak & Dagger any day.

It was later retconned that she wasn’t mind controlled and that she actually cheated on Clint with phantom rider the man that kidnapped her she and sue storm have a lot in common 😂and that the whole assault story was what Clint tells himself to cope with being cheated on

Stop trying to make AoS not canon. Feige’s said multiple times that the MCU TV shows are canon, just not the stories they’re focused on bc they don’t want to make them required viewing when they didn’t have their hands in them.
In addition, Blackout showed up first in AOS and then in Captain Marvel. You missed him. He was bartending and working on Project Pegasus when he got his powers. That’s why he’s a bartender near Pegasus in Captain Marvel and why they said he was working on Dark Energy research (it’s the Joint Dark Energy Facility) when he got his powers.
I’m surprised you also don’t know who Lance Hunter is. He’s the Nick Fury equivalent from the Captain Britain comics.
My headcanon is that Laura Barton’s maiden name is Morse and she’s Bobbi’s older sister. After she retired, Bobbi took over her code name/code number, much like Sharon took over from Peggy.
