Good plan. Good prices too. You can wash fruits and vegetables with a little vinegar in the water.

Lori, you saved a lot of money, baby food is way expensive. Apple sauce can be enjoyed by all three of you. Pears make a great suace too m, if you should find any.

I did apple sauce today. 10 qts and 8 pints and then 8 pints of jelly (the apples were so juicy I had massive juice) yum. My 94 yr old dad eats about 3 qts a week

That is a lot of applesauce.
We used to do large batches in Wisconsin when we could get as many free apples as we wanted.

Can you plant some of those seeds from the peach and grow a peach tree in Alaska? Will it grow?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

It could probably be done in a greenhouse with controlled heat all year, but outside on their own they likely would not survive.

Just a question, not sure if you are freezing the baby food, do you not need to add lemon juice so it has enough acid before water batch canning?
