Envelope colouring with bits n pieces - just loved it, and can’t wait to try it. Many thanks.
Absolutely wonderful! I always look for “other” tools. But love that you made these pieces entirely without purchased things. Thank you
These are great Ceri, I love trying to find alternative ways to create without specialist equipment. It's something my father taught me, he was amazing at coming up with different ways to achieve something when he didn't have the exact materials to hand.
Such fun love how they turn out
Thank you for saying "sometimes you have to go through ugly to get to beautiful"! Very true. Absolutely LOVE your envelopes! Gorgeous!
This has been a brilliant series - thank you Ceri for making that sort of creativity accessible to everyone. You are a star!
You are so welcome Vanessa
There seems to be no end to your fascinating creativity!! Wow. Love all your fabulous ideas.
Thank you so much Linda
I could have EASILY fallen down into the black hole created by Tim Holtz! But I was sensible and only invested in the tiny attacher with boxes of the necessary staples, several ink pads, a few stencils, and a few stamp sets. That's all! Wasn't I a good girl? 😂😊. I appreciate you addressing the non-traditional tools you used in this video. Indeed, almost anything can work as a tool or supply. Little kids make some of the best art without using snazzy-packaged tools that cost the moon! 😊
I agree I love Tim Holtz stuff but haven’t been sucked into buying everything…..I’m selective.
Thank you for a wonderfully informative video - for the past couple of years, I have been very selective about what I throw out now. So many uses for our “rubbish”. Thanks also for responding so promptly to one of your viewer’s requests. I loved the series on your painty envelopes.
❤
I love all the different ideas you used for texturing. I like these as much as the others. Thank you, Ceri and have a nice day.
Love the sponge. I bought a big car wash sponge from the Dollar store. It gives great texture with the holes it has & you really have a lot to work with. I also use different size bottle tops & use both sides of them.
✨️🍁🫶🥰 WONDERFUL ideas!!
Thanks for this video. There are so many items to move to my gelli print area. You are the best ‼️❤❤❤
As someone who doesn’t have a ton of $ to spend on tools, these are brilliant ideas for using common household items Ceri! Thank you!
You are so welcome
I loved this series Ceri, I'm currently experimenting with my coffee cup sleeves, turning them into a parquetry flooring type pattern then sticking them onto a base, I also love the air drying play doh because I can take prints of random things when I'm out and about, just keep it flat till I get home, leave it to dry and I have a stamp, it's so much fun, thanks for a ton more inspiration Ceri. 😃
Sounds great
This is an excellent series Ceri! It makes me happy to see artists saying you dont need the fancy stuff to create. I think the fewer tools we have, the more creative we have to be. Well done!
Wonderful as usual. I think I could watch you do any craft.❤
Oh thank you
WOW! Excellent ideas! LOVE it!! Thanks, Ceri!!
Those envelopes are stunning. 😊
More awesome envelopes! Thanks for sharing all the different techniques. I appreciate your thoroughness!
Congratulations on creating a fantastic video that beautifully highlights how art can be accessible to everyone, regardless of budget! Your use of affordable and even free materials truly celebrates inclusivity and invites everyone to join in on the creative journey.
Thank you so much 😀
Ceri, you are absolutely FANTASTIC! These are brilliant ideas!
What a FUN series!!❤ And look at ALL those lovely envelopes, your storage box must be a riot of color 😊
It is
Hi Ceri. This is sooooo me. 😁 TFS. Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Incredible video. Being on a very low budget now i can create more without buying all that fancy expensive stuff. TFS Ceri.
clever, colorful, creative...ty.
Really enjoyed watching this process! Thank you for reminding us that we don’t always need the latest and greatest, but can instead lean into our OWN creativity!
Great ideas. Lots of new ideas to try. Thanks!!
I love packaging. I have huge baskets full of styrofoam and protective plastic from items I have ordered over the years. The textures from some of the extruded styrofoam and plastics make the best repeat patters on larger sized paper. Of course it works great using the textures on smaller things like envelopes.
Great ideas
Part of being an artist is learning to make your own tool from what is around you.
👁️👁️. I’ve found the KITCHEN brimming w/ never ending useful POSIBILITIES to use in crafting greeting cards … multiple sponge sizes/shapes, cereal boxes, cleaning cloths, foil & plastic wraps, large salt crystals, cinnamon as well as dyeing w/ tea, coffee & some colorful fruit juices, etc……..
‼️‼️‼️
Absolutely
Thanks for sharing this. I can do this method!! Let’s get painty! ❤
I think these were my favourite out of the three techniques Ceri. 🇦🇺
I would love to watch a video about your favorite home utensiles to make art😊(papers, diy stamps and more)
I always put stuff on my wishlist and after a month I look at it again and decide If I still want It or not😊
And I always look on ebay,I found so many nice art supplies there for half the money 👍🏻☺️
Born in 1960 also. We used fingers, sticks, water colors. I did advance to a few more items as I got older but so much today!
Love this! Thank you for sharing.
Love this! I’ll be playing with my paints and envelopes tomorrow.
This has been great!!!! Now i know to just look around my house to see what i could use to make patterns. So cool. Thanks for sharing 😊 ❤❤
Just magic👌Love the paper roll👍
Hi Ceri, loving all your videos. I was very impressed with the great results you got without a gel plate. Who knew? I will have to have a go 😊 x
Beautiful envelopes! I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much.
Clever ideas - thanks for sharing !
Thanks for sharing all the different techniques💜
Excellent, Ceri!! Especially for one of those 'no mojo' sort of days and you can give yourself permission to simply play. Thanks for sharing!
So true
Amazing video! Thank you, Ceri! ❤🌹
These turned out wonderful! I love the botanical look to a couple of them and the q-tip effect! God bless
Thank you so much
Great display of alternative techniques Ceri❤❤❤ you have now a very beautiful collection of envelopes
Thanks so much Myriam.
Ok I'm in LOVE with the string stamp!
Wonderful.
I love all of these envelopes! I really love the one with the red dots, it looks like cherries on a tree. 🍒🍒🍒
I really loved this video! The finished envelopes have a more 'grass roots arty' look and feel to them (to my mind). I have a drawer full of craft tools but I prefer using everyday items- gives the brain a good workout! Thanks for a brilliant video.
Wonderful, thank you
Dear Ceri, you just made my day. Now I got so many ideas to make envelooes and other stuff. Such a wonderful video. Thanks 😃🤩
You are so welcome Susan
Please show a couple of ways you have used your painty envelopes in journals.
I will in the future. Thank you
What great idea if you came up with and I’m gonna have to look around and see what I can find to make paint marks with love the way your envelopes turned out❤
Thanks for a great series with such different results. You are just fantastic in showing what to do with little supply. I just love your videos.
Thank you very much
Another wonderful set dear. This has been a very enjoyable little series of making the envelopes xxxxx
Thank you so much Paulla
Ceri, l do love your video, its making me want to go and play with paint, a bit of junk that l have stashed for added interest in my gelli prints. I will be making some envelopes in the next few days. 😊😊😊 look forward to the next video.
Thanks for the chuckle, Ceri .... "my god what is he doing". Great tutorial. x
Good evening dear Ceri, this is the most fun way to add paint to any surface! Thank you so much for the creative play! The foil made awesome marks, the doily marks are great as well. Thank you so much for the inspiration, I so enjoyed this! ❤ hugs and blessings to you
Awesome, thankyou Ceri, as someone who doesn't have a gelli print, I thoroughly enjoyed this and can't wait to give it a go. Cheers 😀😀😀
Have fun
Ceri, I love your way of making the envelopes much easier for me, it is messy but a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing, enjoy your evening.
Thank you! You too
Thanks so much Ceri, I don't have a gel plate and now after watching your awesome video, I don't think I will spend the money. Thanks so much for these ideas and loved the other videos also. I'm going on a hunt around the house 😂😍
Have fun
Brilliant! I love this series. ❤
I really love the foil, and the twine! Thank you, that foil technique might be awesome in the Steampunk journal I am making for my sister
Wonderful
This is a really great video-- very idea making! Thanks so much!
Great ideas, will use many - using green side of sponge, however - Genius!! Thank you 🎉🎉💜🖤🤎
Have fun
As gorgeous as usual!

My pleasure 😊

Oh Ceri that was so fun to watch. Love how the rolled cardboard came out. That's one I wouldn't have thought of. ❤❤
Thanks so much
These videos have been so much fun Thank you for the inspiration to try something I haven’t done before. I think you sparked my mojo 😊
Fabulous
Excellent vid! Thank you for the inspiration!
Those were some great ideas
You've given me some fun ideas. I make my own foam stamps in random forms, and I use different sponges. However, I love the string-around-a-tube idea, it is so fun. Thanks so much for making things fun.
Wonderful!
Oh no, you are not the only one. I have things I had to have at the time that have never been out of the packet! In my poorer days I designed and made my own stencils for screen printing and used an old window frame for the screen. I love my under papers (your drop papers). They always get used. You have inspired me to do a session using only the myriad found object mark making stuff I have to create some collage papers. I love packaging. There is always some sort of paper, envelopes, cards and/or texturing material. Thanks for sharing. cheers
Fantastic.
Awesome sauce! ❤❤❤
Thank you 😋 Darcy
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing your techniques. I cant wait to try this out 😊
Have fun
Fabulous!❤❤❤❤
Fabulous ❤
Great video!
Thank you, very helpful
Great video
this is fantastic
Great video, thanks!
TFS your process, Ceri. Here from Devon's channel and new subbie. (and I am a '60 baby too)
Thanks for subbing and welcome to my channel.
Love it! Could be done in an art journal or make a journal using those envelopes .
Totally
I think using parchment paper and beater gives me similar results as a gel plate. I don’t really get those yet!😂😂😂 Love all you do!
Thank you
Wow yes❤
Great.
I have the tools, but sometimes these things create more unique and one-of-a-kind designs that will never be seen anywhere else. PS nuts and bolts also make cool marls.
Yes they do. Thank you
While not perfect, glazed ceramic tiles, panes of glass and plexiglass do work. Also, while I have not tried this, yet, plastic table mats for placing under a dinner plate, should work.
I’ve heard they do give interesting results.
👁️👁️. Dear CERI: The
Thumbs Down means I’ve made notes from your fun video to add to my repertoire for my next DEMO @ Card club meeting.
Your Arizona 🌵, USA 🇺🇸 faithful fan October 2024.
Thank you for sharing so I can pass techniques onto members, families and their friends as winter visitors to The Old Pueblo‼️
PS. I added a circular plastic soup container lid w/ steam holes, also designed in circles ⭕️ - It will act as a STENCIL w/ sponged paint dabs❗️ HAHAHA
👁️👁️. CERI: The silicone pot holder & twines I did not have in my possession BUT will definitely be on the look out 👀 for similar & new 3D objects to share w/ club members …. Thanks, once again from Dianne in Arizona 🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵
Wonderful
Hi, I'm older than you. I make all sorts of things from newspapers, because that's what we did when I was young. Near Chicago, Tina, Al's wife
Yes we were so much more adaptive and creative years ago.
❤❤❤
❤
I have a lot of gel prints that I alwayd need to use up,🫣 so I convert to envelopes & add a white address label to the front. It's a great way to use up your pile & an excuse to keep making 😂
❤❤❤
