    The reason your 400w inverter wouldn't charge it, is because the Ecoflow products require a Pure Sine Wave inverter. Chances are, the inverter in your vehicle is not a Pure Sine Wave inverter. I just purchased the Delta Mini. It is amazing! Thanks for the video!

    Costo is currently (Oct. 2022) offering this model for $150 less than the price quoted in the video. Had to pull the trigger as this was a phenomenal price for approx. 900Wh of power storage. The killer feature other than the price/Wh was the 1.5hr fast charging capability from zero to 100% capacity @86% or so efficiency.

    Typically, I like to buy things with a long view. Batteries are being improved so quickly, it doesn't matter to me that it isn't lithium-ion phosphate. This power station could be recharged every day for TWO years before it drops the performance. Totally agree about the inconvenience of needing to access both ends and lack of USB ports. My primary purpose is to run fridge and computer for camping outings. I'll be interested to see how it does with a fridge outside in 90* heat when it and my fridge arrive.. Good video! Thanks.

    I appreciate you clarifying the Lithium NMC chemistry vs LiFePO4 at the beginning of the video, maybe one day they will have that on their smaller power stations. They only use LiFePO4 on their HUGE Delta Pro models.

    This is the video I've been looking for. I Just ordered this off Ebay a few days ago. It was through Ecoflows company, and is supposed to be new with all the accessories. $401 without the solar panel. I have 2 100 watt panels already. It was $499 but had a 20% off code.
    It will be here Monday or Tuesday. Can't wait to see what I can power up, and test to see how long it will run the daily items I use.

  • @bujin5455
    @bujin5455 Год назад +2

    Honestly, for the money, I don't know why you wouldn't just step up to the Delta 2. It has LFP, it has double the USB ports, it has 1,024Wh (vs 882Wh), you get another 400W of output (1800W vs 1400W), it only weighs an additional 3.4lb (23.6lb vs 27lb), and it's only an extra $150 ($749 vs $899). That extra $150 buys a lot of upgrade. So for 20% more money, you're getting more than then double the battery life, a safer more robust chemistry (a pretty big deal), a 5 year warranty (vs a 2 year), 16% more capacity, 28% more output, double the USB port count, at a very similar pack out weight.

    I am glad to hear about all this as I just bought mine and will have it in hand in about a week, and I got it at just under $450 as there is a deep discount on them right now. I was using a cheapish LiFePo system and it kept timing out the 12v on my new fridge on our trip last weekend so decided to bite the bullet and go with a more premium system. I will be definitely testing it out for sure :)

    Are these type of Lithium batteries safe to run in a hot vehicle with devices (12v fridge)? Temps here run upto 110F and in the car could be 130F+. I thought lithium ion had fire concerns above a certain temp, do LiFePo4 have similar concerns? Typical use is 4-5hr hike with these electronics in the vehicle. I have a thought. Since the DC Solar input can take input from 11-75v DC why don't you run a DC cable straight off your battery into the Delta Mini's Solar input? You would be pulling 10 amps at 14.4v which is 140 watts instead of the car ports regular 100watt. You could also run a high-power DC-DC boost converter to 24v or 36v and get 250-300watts that way.

  • @kylegwyn
    @kylegwyn Год назад

    I’m curious if you encountered any issues running your diesel heater off the delta mini. I recently purchased a diesel heater and just upgraded from a river pro to a delta mini. However, neither unit seem to be able to run the diesel heater using the 12v input. Both EF units flash DC overload after about 15-30 seconds and kill the output. If I’m understanding correctly, this is due to an initial surge when the glow plug is heating. powering from just a basic 12v battery, I can see on the display that the draw jumps form 10w~ to about 160w~ many times during the initial startup. Did you have to do anything special to get this to operate correctly with your Delta??

  • @andrewinaustintx

    Excellent Review!!! 2-1/2 days of just powering a 12 volt DC fridge is more than what I usually need. With my 160 watt solar panel, it would almost be a perpetual power source for my fridge.
    Had I not sprung for a Bluetti EB70 last May for $499, I would definitely be in line for the Delta Mini at the current Amazon price - just because it can handle a 1000 watt AC load with 400 watts of wiggle room and EcoFlow's much better than Bluetti display panel. The one thing on my wish list for all of these 500 to 1000 watt hours power stations is for them to up their 12 volt DC outputs to over 180 watts, a.k.a 15 amps versus the current 10 amp limit.

  • @Hodson313
    @Hodson313 2 года назад

    You need to set your input to a lower setting for ac to get it to work off your 400w inverter. If it is set to 900 I will see that it can’t get that and not charge at all. You have to set it to 300 or something

  • @SoaresOutdoors
    @SoaresOutdoors 2 года назад +1

    Probably the reason it won't charge on your inverter in the jeep is because it's trying to pull 900w through your 400w inverter.. Hence why they gave you the slow charge.. Set it to slow charge and then set it to 300w - 400w and it should work fine.. I have the ecoflow River max and I had to do that because it was trying to pull too much out of my pickup inverter so I set it to slow charge and it was good to go.
