    I’m a die hard fan of EcoFlow. I own the River Max, Delta and recently bought the Delta Pro. Approximately, 3 weeks ago we had a power outage on the entire island and I was able to run my house with the Delta and River Max. Just in the corner, hurricane season is coming up so I’ll be prepared with the Delta Pro. Great video amigo… cuídensen y bendiciones

    Great review, I never tire of them. I use a Delta Mini in a converted minivan and the way it's placed, the configuration works out perfectly. I added a short cord three way AC splitter so I have access to AC in front along with the USB ports. Just over two years, the Delta Mini is still running strong. I've been tempted to get a Delta 2 which is slightly beefed up with a LiFePO4 battery but honestly I haven't really needed it.

      I have an Oupes 1200W unit with about the same battery capacity that runs my home fridge for 16 hours, and the larger Oupes 1800W runs it for 24 hours. The larger unit charges faster, so that is handy, whereas the 1200W unit takes only 200 watts of solar, but I manage to juggle them most of the time when I pay attention, and often run my fridge for 2 weeks without using the grid. I am in Florida, typically good sunshine.

    So you can't just plug stuff in and it starts charging. You have to turn the individual plugs on with the app each time?
    Two things that would be good to know is how long it takes to recharge with a gen like a Honda 2200?

    Is there some benefit to a slower charge? Does it extend the battery life of the ecoflow?

    • @Stonyboot
      @Stonyboot  2 года назад +5

      Based on the chemistry (NCM) slower charge rates should extend cycle life.
      Also, if you have limited wattage, like with a small power connection in an RV, lowering the charge rate can help you charge without tripping a breaker.

    • @leonardgallion6439
      @leonardgallion6439 2 года назад

      They are stored in it’s 882 watt hour battery. That means you could only draw 1600 watts for maybe 30 minutes (with inverter losses) before the battery is depleted. Fortunately heavy loads like a microwave or coffee maker don’t take long so if you use a a microwave that uses 1000 watts per hour but you only run it 15 minutes that is 250 watts (roughly) taken from the battery. If you plug into a solar panel or a wall outlet you can replace that in about an hour with solar and just a few minutes with AC power.

    I have this same unit and although I love it for its size and good specs, I'm disappointed in what I 'heard' which is if you exceed 2100 watts it will damage the unit. That sounds odd to me - why no internal circuit breaker? You apparently didn't damage the unit. So, their tech support is hard to trust with their lack of expert knowledge (offshore folks!). My precaution solution was buying a power strip with a fuse rated at 1875 watts because the unit is rated for 1400 running watts, and only ONE device is recommended for use if it exceeds 1400 running watts with Xboost for a peak of 1800 running watts (2100 starting/surge max, regardless). You definitely need to keep tabs on device power needs after 1400 watts due to a mix of amp draw to be compliant with Xboost.

      @@Stonyboot Great - I'd be curious if you get a different reply to that concern. I find it hard to believe engineers would overlook something so obvious and basic like overload protection. They said overload protection is in place for input (charge), not output. Definitely look into the Xboost limits as well (e.g. one device only when over 1400 watts). This unit does act as a UPS too, btw. Solar works great! BougeRV foldable 120 watt panel gets over 110 watts - best and most efficient. 👍

      @@imapisces1 so the internal circuit breaker is what tripped each time it needed to reset.
      But if you go about consistently over loading it there’s components that do not like constantly being turned on and off. So if your your purposefully going to be tripping it. You may actually damage it.
      But if it’s every now and again it should be infrequently to not stress anything.
