We sailed on Rhapsody a few years ago when we did Rock the Boat from Sydney and we just loved it. About to go on Anthem of the Seas.
We bet that Rock the Boat was a fantastic cruise! As for Anthem, it's a wonder ship and much different than Rhapsody. Its interior space is so much larger. When you get in, check out the 270 space on the aft for some amazing views! Thanks for watching and commenting - We really appreciate it!

We were on the Symphony in February 2023. All pools were so packed on sea days that we didn’t go near them. We stayed on board at a couple of ports and I had a pool completely to myself…doing laps. So I want you to know your experience on Radiance makes me anxious for our cruise in February 2025. PS. We were on Wonder February 2024 but it rained 6.5 out of 8 days so we rarely got to even go outside. 😢 There’s nothing like a tour through a Caribbean island in the pouring rain. We did it on two different islands. We were getting stir crazy. 😝 Enjoy your cruises. It beats staying home.
Your observations of the pools and pool deck is valid for most of the ships we have sailed. Sunny warm weather sea days are make the pools look more like people soup than a place to swim. Still, I was able to do laps early in the morning before the crowds got thicker. As for Radiance and Radiance class ships, having only 2800 passengers as compared to double that on Symphony will create a more relaxed feel. We address some of these issues in a soon to be published "Our Likes and Dislikes of Radiance of the Seas." It may be helpful to dissuade some anxiousness you may be having. My wife and I are sailing of the Radiance of the Seas starting on 2-8-25. We were last on the Radiance 2017. We are so looking forward to this adventure. My question is, what is the kid factor? Are kids going to disrup our week on the ship? Thanks
Great question! The kid factor for us is when the type of ship, length of cruise and embarkation port line up to have a much higher amount of kids and those who like to party. Nothing against that but we have begun to lean into a more relaxed vibe. Your cruise being a 7 day out of Tampa with a classic older ship (without water slides, flow-rider, etc) should have that relaxed vibe. We loved our last cruise of Radiance so go enjoy! My wife and I were just informed that My time dining slots are filled. Does this mean that we cannot get a time with the same wait staff and same table for our cruise?
That is a very good question. We suggest that right after you complete your muster station (5 minutes) head over to the maitre'd of My Time dining and try to request a table then. Chances are, if you are happy with the time and location, they will try to sit you there each night. Also, feel free to email dining at RCLDining@rccl.com and request your preference. They can't guarantee anything but will pass your request to the ship before you board. Please give them all the details such as your name, ship, and reservation number and send it 2 weeks before you leave. Good luck!
