Was on Escape a year before Covid. We loved it... great service, always something happening and long into the night under the stars. Food is cruise ship food but otherwise what a great experience. Ranks ahead of Princess and Celebrity for me.
Hi there!! They did have soft serve - chocolate and vanilla... but the vanilla either ran out or stopped working after the first day of our cruise. I'm sure that's not normal... im not a coffee drinker, but my bestie is. She said they had all the "standard" complimentary creamers available - powered, milk, half and half, but nothing flavored. There is a Starbucks onboard if you like your coffee fancier than that.
I'd definitely recommend a solo cabin with a view of the outside, if it's within your budget. There is a solo cruisers lounge that you should definitely visit. If you want to meet other people, I would request a larger table size, so they will seat you with other guests in the main dining rooms. The water grotto was a place that I always found chatty people, if you're looking to mingle. Or if you'd rather have a quiet space that isn't your stateroom, I'd recommend the library.
@ thank you for your suggestions all good ones , I will request a view of the outside thanks for the tip. I enjoy meeting other people so I’ll avoid the library
When did you do this cruise? We are set to be on the Escape leaving Rome on October 3rd. Curious how busy it was and how many kids were on board. We are doing the Med cruise too. Italy, Malta, Greece and Croatia.
Our cruise was mid-august (14th-21st). The ship is big and we were told it was at max capacity, but it didn't feel busy or crammed full of people. The kid-areas (like the splash area and the arcade) were always full of kids, but it wasn't an overly kid-filled cruise in my opinion. If you havent booked an excursion for Greece (assuming Corfu), and you're looking to be a little adventurous, I highly recommend the 4x4 adventure through thr cruise line. My husband and I thought it was the highlight of our port excursions.
Cannot wait to be back onboard the Escape in Feb!!!!
I hope you love it as much as I did. It might be my favorite cruise ship.
Going on my second escape cruise in January!!! Truly such a great ship.
Ohhh where are you going? Same itinerary as mine, or something different? Either way, I'm sure you'll love it!!

I'm glad to hear that covid didn't change things. I loved this ship!!
This is the cruise I decided on out of 5 different options! I’ll be going in December
You won't be disappointed!! We loved the ship and the itinerary.
@@TravelWithJannaLyn this will be my 7th cruise and second royal Caribbean, so far it’s my favorite cruise line
Very nice tour, thanks!
Thank you very much!!!
Awesome! In the drinks station, what kind of creamer do they have for coffee? Also do they have soft serve ice cream?

Curious, was there a smoking area in the casino? Thanks!
They allowed smoking in the casino during the times it was open for play.
Yes, there was a smoking section in the casino. It wasn't "enclosed" but the smoke stayed relatively contained.
