  • AirBnB/Serviced Accommodation has pros and cons like anything in life. Creating and successfully managing your inventory is a huge task and is open to risk as you're generally dealing with third parties which means that much of what's happening is out of your control. The cleaning company is a reflection of your business as the apartment is the first thing the guest will see when checking in. I have been caught out before where the cleaners have turned up to clean the property and there's no clean linen, and the guest's check-in time is an hour away. It's not a pleasant feeling. Create an inventory sheet and ensure that cleaners complete it after each clean so that you know exactly how much inventory you have ahead of you.

Hi I noticed on none of your videos you mention any profit margins after costs

      Hi 👋
Thanks for watching! Sure, to give you a profit margin would be misleading for your own SA business and this is the reason why: you’re not selling a singular product for let’s say £9.99 where you know your fixed costs, even at scale. In SA, you’re working with several different properties which yield different profit margins. They have different rental fees, management fees, nightly rates, etc. My overall net profit margin for the entire company is around 43%, however like I said, it’s not a true reflection of the profitability of each property but rather the entire business and its operations. I hope that has provided you some clarity 🤙
      Thanks!
