Tried Enigma before and it personally did not work well for me as I find it too heavy for my hair despite playing around with the pump.
Because of that, I am a little apprehensive in trying these cream like prestylers. However, given how you described blackwater, I do have to give that a try!
Been going back and forth trying to decide whether to buy the void, or the nostalgic grooming moonpaste. Its tough decision

How would you compare the hold of Solstice to Black Ship or Insubmersible?
Good to see you. I thought the video covered everything from a 50,000 foot level, however it felt a little rushed. I would have liked to watched a bit more time on each product.
I’d like to. People stop watching at the length the video was already at. I would have liked to include the endurance tests and everything but people tell me all the time they won’t even watch when the videos this long.
Modern Man TV I like watching these videos Mike, even when they’re this long. I mean 5 products is tough to make short and concise with the endurance tests. I mean people who complain about that, at least to me, sound ridiculous. Don’t complain about how long a video is if the content is insightful. If you like a topic you’ll listen.
I agree with you totally. Others aren’t quite as willing as us. Views on this video alone are less than others already.
Hey mike, I've been using trade union's prestyler texture spray, almost out and I've really liked it. I remember watching a video of you demoing it and having similar results. I'm kinda wanting to try something new, with that compared to flagships prestyler, did you prefer one over the other? We have similar hair types so I'm curious as to which one was more successful for you. Thanks man!

How would you compare Black Water to Black Ship?
Black Water seems the most interesting out of the group. I love Enigma, however, so I have to see how it compares. For post-stylers in the Flagship lineup, I would still go with Dead Sea Clay tho, seems more up my alley.

Eh... I’m honestly not a big fan of this gimmick. Let’s say I like Polar the best, I can only buy it during the winter months? What if I run out and would like another batch in the spring or summer? Kind of a bummer... for example, I really like Lockharts Fire and Brimstone clay, and ran out last March. I’m only able to buy another jar now. I’ve since moved on to other brands.
I’m not sure it’s a gimmick per say. It’s an annual tradition. I understand that you might enjoy it but both the flagship and lockharts lines have things that work just as well as their annual limiteds. You could also do what I see some others do, which is stock up for the rest of the year.
Modern Man TV fair points, Mike. Lucky for me, I can afford to stock up at the moment (I actually stocked up on a few Fire and Brimstone’s last week 😂, you read my mind). Not everyone can do that, of course. It’s a good marketing strategy. You are correct, both lines have plenty of similar alternatives. But similar is not exactly the same. Personally, I am huge on scents. The fire and brimstone scent is the biggest selling point, IMO. I know quite a few people who would appreciate if Lockharts would make it available year-round. Maybe another marketing strategy they could do would be to offer limited products a few times throughout the year?
@@PatrickKendrick1988 dont they also offer it for any scent any hold? if they dont offer it for that promo you should email them and ask them to consider it that way you can get access to it then too!
Hey Mike, about the Gold edition and the Solstice matte paste, are there any major differences you found as they both are heavy holding paste and both are said to be designed for the summer months?
Good solid review mike, think equinox would be my choice, it pains me to watch these new releases as i know it will be months/if at all they are available in the UK.
I just called the owner of flagship for you and he said slickboys in the UK will have the lineup within 2 weeks or less, it’s already been shipped to them in fact.

I had actually just got it thinned out before I should the demos for this video haha! Right now my hairs actually been thicker than usual because I been on these testosterone shots for the past few months.

Dauntless wax cream I believe! I think that’s what I used that day. Hard to remember I filmed this early last week and have had like a dozen things in my hair since then haha!
