- The 67th Fighter Squadron, known as the "Fighting Cocks," won the Raytheon Trophy for air-to-air excellence for their 6th time in history in 2013, making them the most-winning squadron in the US Air Force. This video was made to promote the legacy of F-15C Eagle and is in tribute to Robbie Risner (b. Jan 16, 1925, d. Oct 22, 2013).
All music used is credited at the end of the film. This video's content has ZERO association with the United States Air Force, Raytheon Corporation, the Royal Saudi Air Force, or any other entities in existence. It is purely a "fan" driven film; recorded by fans, FOR fans, with limited copyright implications.

RIP Snizzler, I miss you man. Snizzler was my mentor while serving at Kadena AB. Years later he helped me with a little letter, a recommendation letter to attend OCS. I was accepted and thrived while serving. Snizzler was the reason I became a pilot myself and the reason I will continue to fly for as long as possible. Thanks for everything Snizzler, you will be missed.

I was an F15 Avionics guy way back in 1990-1992. Kadena was the best unit I ever served in! Everything there reminded me of my desire to join the USAF as a kid. This video is a blessing to everyone who ever served there! It is super well done, great video resolution, excellent theme, strong audio, entirely well done! Thank you to the all the great people who contributed and gave this great memory, to all of us who served there! My hat is off to all of you. Thank you so much for making this video!

@@fishnchips5826 Not so it’s just banter. But the reality is the F-15 is a better plane in all aspects except cost. It’s combat record and abilities speak for itself. Not to say the F-16 is a bad plane but to say the F-16 is so much better than F-15 is a huge misnomer. You know you built something good the first time when the USAF wants more F-15s and buys more in the face of the newer but really flawed F-35, 50 years after it first flew.
was always my dream to go up in an F15 it has been and still is my favorite fighter aircraft also I served as firefighter at Kadena from 09 to 11 and loved watching you guys fly. still haven't gotten my ride in a jet yet but maybe one of these years lol

I served crash fire and rescue 2010-2011 at Kadena with the fighting cock's and vampire bats. Absolutely an honor getting to protect the ones who fly for these squadrons. I only wished I could have went up in a 15. My favorite bird.

Removes the salt water particles from the jet. Stuff is bad for planes. My dad crewed this unit in desert storm. His eyes dart around when are near Florida or Georgia where Eagles still fly. You hear the sound and he gets so happy.

What's the purpose of taxiing the plane through a water spray? What are they washing off?
It's to wash off the salt water. They were flying over the ocean and the salt water in the air speeds up the corrosion process. These are F-15Cs and are the oldest F-15 model in service. Normally jets are designed with flight time and age limits. For example, "6000 flight hours or 25 years of age which ever comes first." But the military has been trying to extend the life of its fighter aircraft way beyond their original design specification. My guess is that the water spray is part of the life extension plan.
It washes off salt water. Helps prevent corrosion.
