Ryan you're just cherry picking, the play they kept replaying at the end was Raef LaFrentz taking a pass from Williams. Both of those guys would have a hard time making the league today. Valanciunas is one of the best young C's in the league. Antic, well I agree w/ you 100% on that one haha.

@@sandman1133 you do know that harden doesn't travel right? He releases the ball then grabs it so it doesn't count as a pivot foot then he takes his two steps. I forget what the exact move is called but my boy harden has that shii downpact to the SECOND he's built different 🤷

I watched J Will in warm ups before a game years ago, and his repertoire of moves was amazing. He had so many options, many of them trick shots and facials, that I think it actually worked against him. And alot of his turnovers can from the shock and disbelief of his teammates that he could deliver the ball where others could not. C Webb talked about how they would need to prep new guys to be ready or they would get hit in the face with the ball.
Man.... Jason Williams was a different breed, running point... Know how people say someone "makes something look easy"? Understatement of the century for JWill
Dude was remarkable....if he had teammates that could score, he would have been in the top 3 in assists.........that off-the-elbow pass still hasn't been duplicated....
Sager was not wearing the "wacky suits" gimmick the first 15 years of his Turner Sports career. He only started doing that once he left his first wife for a Chicago Bulls cheerleader (Stacy Sager) and ditched his kids to make a 2nd family.
He's a street player & his style couldn't be coached by anyone because he loved the game & having fun with it, hence all the turnovers n bad decision making skills. Overall, he was a breath of fresh air for all fans because they knew when the Kings came to town Ole' Williams will give them their money worth! why a lot of y'all hating on my boy? he still better than all of y'all that commented on this video including me
You smell like ass
brian scalibrini is better than all of us, does that mean we cant talk shit about him?
I'm So Milli i could beat him easily
i ain't even joking i'll beat him
Pistol 8 Kev who said u couldn't talk shit about him?
2:01 "long 3" in this day and age is known as "just behind the 3pt line"
That's the most normal suit I've ever seen Craig Sager wear
If more players approached playing in the All Star game like this, I might actually give a damn about watching it.
Odom’s 😮 reaction to the elbow pass was priceless haha
I knew someone else had to have peeped that. He was like "OOOOH~!"
“And here’s Jason Williams with his shot hitting the top of the arena” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What I saw? A lot of turnovers and bad shots which about sums up his career.
i know im sure you had a better career in the nba huh?
Are you in the fuckin nba?
Elijah Horton
Why do I need to be in the NBA to see someone took some very bad shots? I played with plenty of guys who were in the NBA, and I can promise you they'd agree with me.
this is allstars.. hes just having fun..
Dillon Ruby This is piss poor logic, I don't agree with Chris, but just because you weren't IN the sport doesn't mean you cant critique it. Come on
look at all those future legends on those rookie/sophomore teams.. francis, nowitzki, williams, pierce
nowadays we have player like Valianciunas and pero antic in them..
I think Val would be better on a different team, and Antic is just.. well yeah haha
Ryan Terry Val has been killing it the past 20 games.. you're just ignorant if you think centers don't take at least 4 years to fully develop. Maybe you should start following another sport.
Cheap labor
RKJ92 so you think Val is one of the best young C's in the league? ill take you on that, come back to this video in 4 years and let me know how he is doing
plus, i never said he was bad, he just isnt as good as people like you guys advertise.
Yeah he definitely went to school with randy moss
No brett Favre
@@aliencatcrew3336 no like he literally went to school with randy moss, they were teammates in high school.
@@bruhbruh2527 i thought he was referring to how he played. He did pass the ball the way brett favre threw the ball on the run. Thats what i thought, sorry. Thank you for the response
That elbow pass has to be one of the best plays I've ever seen!
2:46 That Ruff Ryders shirt though!
White Chocolate...idk he was so country lol
He from West Virginia. he was Randy moss qb in highschool
Mitchell Adkins you should have seen them playing in the state basketball tournament together. It was a show. IIRC they lost the championship to Woodrow Wilson, but you can imagine what an amazing tournament it was to watch.
Mitchell Adkins saw this late I never heard a WV accent
I was wrong, they Beat Woodrow and lost to Martinsburg.
Mitchell Adkins and they played together in basketball and won a state championship
RIP to the greatest to ever do it, Craig Sager. You will be missed buddy.
The Stephy Curry before the league was ready for a Steph Curry.
3:16 the surprise then instant respect Lamar Odom had for him made my day.
Shaboygin haha never noticed that but he was like “ooooooh”
Damn I was just about to post this but wanted to check first.... Nice catch, I really liked that appreciation of the game
That elbow pass was meant to be follow by a dunk, imagine the reaction of the crowd if Garnett finished that play with power!
Jay Williams was a straight up baller 😎
Raef lafrentz was the big
Not Garnett
Odom's reaction at 3:21!
+Turk420 ...
He definitely grew up as the only white kid in his neighborhood.
No not even necessarily true. Hes from west virginia. If youre in the south you know. Lot of people talk like that black or white. People from the west coast or up north talk proper mostly
@@mysteretsym but he actually grew up with a lot of black kids...notice he has the exact same accent as Moss.
@@WonkaBiz They grew up in a small town in WV though, I don't think it was necessarily a "black" community; that's just how Southerners (white/black) talk
Pretty sure he was just saying Jason was flashy and had to learn how to ball
@@WonkaBiz he has the same accent because they both grew up in the same area played high school basketball together at dupont high school jason williams randy moss jerry west and sam huff are the only athletes we got in WV lol
If he had better teammates that could finish these plays, he would be a GOAT
You serious? This guy was never anything more than flash. Sub 40% from the field. Not even a 2 assist to turnover ratio which is pathetic for a PG. Not 11 ppg or 6 assist per game.
Forget GOAT, at no point in his career was he the best player on the court.
+Quentin McDonald jason isnt touching magic, stockton, kidd, steve nash in passing either.
Free Yourselves Globally Project u
maybe better passes and they would have scored -- maybe his passes didn't really fake out the defense that much, in the end, but looked flashy.
:Haeeey Jimbob did ya see that elbow pass
:Sure did billybob
😂😂😂😂
Laughed out loud so hard oh my god thank you
0:45 I died when he threw it like that 😂
Some can pass... Some cannot even bowl
Dwayne Wade rates the elbow pass a 9/10
Enough with this already.
Oh my god. Craig Sager is wearing a suit that doesn't blind me.
2020... imagine how good he’d be now since they’re all allowed to travel
In this league you gotta be able to hit 3s more consistently even if it is a triple step back. I say this as a 🚀 fan...
Santiago Renteria triple step back lmao
@@sandman1133 you do know that harden doesn't travel right? He releases the ball then grabs it so it doesn't count as a pivot foot then he takes his two steps. I forget what the exact move is called but my boy harden has that shii downpact to the SECOND he's built different 🤷
You gotta be able to shoot in today's NBA
@@seke9885 please...I'm a lifelong Rocket fan since before the championships(yes I'm old). I know the rules bruh...I've also seen harden take almost 5 mini steps in reverse in order to get behind the line. I won't say too much cause it's my team and you don't blow the whistle on your own team even in street ball but c'mon don't tell me every step back he's made is legal.
Jason "White Chocolate" Williams: "The only player to receive a standing ovation from making a pass"
Jason Williams the most exciting player in the nba
The Pistol Pete is strong in this one
I watched J Will in warm ups before a game years ago, and his repertoire of moves was amazing. He had so many options, many of them trick shots and facials, that I think it actually worked against him. And alot of his turnovers can from the shock and disbelief of his teammates that he could deliver the ball where others could not. C Webb talked about how they would need to prep new guys to be ready or they would get hit in the face with the ball.
Lol the one to Vlade smacked him in the face
I always thought it wasn't that the passes where bad they his teammates just weren't expecting a lot of them when it would be a turnover
raef lafrentz....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, seriously though, never ever ever thought i'd ever see that fucking guy again
I'll give you another name Danny Ferry! (Just cuz so many guys look like him, its a good one to bring back hahahaha)
Man.... Jason Williams was a different breed, running point...
Know how people say someone "makes something look easy"? Understatement of the century for JWill
3:05 Lamar Odom even had to say “ooo” 😂
Thats the most basic suit I've ever seen Craig Sager wear. Jason Williams, the legend!
Dude was remarkable....if he had teammates that could score, he would have been in the top 3 in assists.........that off-the-elbow pass still hasn't been duplicated....
This guy was exciting to watch. We need more Jason Williams in the league right now.
wow sager has a nice suit for once
compared to his other suits this one looks decent. lol
+spectaclez Sager's regular suits are better than everyone's.
Sager was not wearing the "wacky suits" gimmick the first 15 years of his Turner Sports career. He only started doing that once he left his first wife for a Chicago Bulls cheerleader (Stacy Sager) and ditched his kids to make a 2nd family.
I take it that you're his first wife?
He's a street player & his style couldn't be coached by anyone because he loved the game & having fun with it, hence all the turnovers n bad decision making skills. Overall, he was a breath of fresh air for all fans because they knew when the Kings came to town Ole' Williams will give them their money worth! J-Williams probably not that favored "still" but dude amazed ppl n that's the reason we all come bk to old clips ✊
He still won a ring
crazy how Dirk and Andre Miller are still contributing players to a team out of all these players. who would have thought
that's life
+killerprey777 Substance over style.
+Black7od Substance over substance abuse
also Paul peirce
+killerprey777 paul pierce too.
Love the quick crossovers followed by the sound of a brick!
You know it bears reminding: Williams DID pull it all together and have a couple efficient seasons with the Heat (and one ring). Took him awhile to figure out how to make his game translate to wins, but he did it.
This has been in my recommended since I made this account and this is my first time watching
R.I.P Craig Sager
He would be must-see TV if he played in this era.
82 games of popcorn-popping action.
Did he knock it back off his elbow??!
That was sick
Rob Banks ya he did look up elbow pass its cool
Took me so long to realize how he had passed it like that. In my defence tho, the video quality is awful.
@@seang.6245 naaah 😂😂😂😂😂
He's the type of Point Guard you'd want on your team because you know if you fill the lane he's gonna get your the rock.
Dammit, look at all the guys that won a championship, averaged 20 a game, won individual awards, and were on All-NBA or All-Star teams!
Shit almost looks like an All-Star Game! (except for the Laef LaFrentz sighting).
That's probably because it is an all-star game. You can tell because it says that it's an all-game and the players aren't on the same teams.
Owen Rodgers
its rookies vs sophmores...damn im getting old andre miller is the oldest player in the league now!
idoesitwatido yeah man this was my era of basketball
No steve Nash is
Raef***
This one game made me a Kings fan for a decade thanks to Williams. I remember learning the elbow pass. Can still do it to this day haha
