  • This is the first of videos I have made, answering some of the questions I've been asked by customers.
'A picture says a 1000 words'. Hopefully these instructional videos will be worth far more!
I'll do a few as time goes on.
We love tuning on the MaxxECU, and genuinely believe in the product.
The car being used in this Video is a Peugeot 205 Stage rally car. It's running the 8v GTi engine. It's a Rally spec engine build by Brett Simms, and runs Jenveys, and of course a Maxxecu. It's recently been fitted with a Sadev Sequential gearbox. The engine produces 208bhp on the Dyno-Dynamics rolling road.

Thanks to Rob, at Talon engineering for the use of his car for this Video.

It would be great if you could cover tuning ignition advance! Especially interested in understanding the tradeoff between boost and advance.

Hi Steve, thanks for this. Will you make more videos about how to set the MaxxEcu completely? It will be really interesting to see how you set things up in maxx and maybe some good point what is good to keep an eye on or something to rather avoid. Thanks a lot

@1:52 that awkward moment someone catches you talking to what it looks like yourself 😂 great video though, I’m new to all this but don’t want to build a car and not understand tuning, I’m liking the look of maxxecu, good value for money 👍

Haha! For sure! I'm no pro youtuber! 😂
They really do provide a flexible and stable tuning platform, thats a ke to compete with the big boys for functionality, without the price tag. :-)

what rate of regulator gain do you find best for auto tune? On some other brands od ecu ive learned that big course changes result in huge spikes throughout the VE table
