Giannis will likely never win another MVP as long as he's playing next to Dame. Lillard will usually be the definitive closer like he was tonight. As great as Giannis is, he can't shoot outside the paint or at the line and doesn't have a serious post game. Lillard can make virtually any shot, gets to the rim, draws fouls and makes virtually all of his free throws. Skills you need to close when it matters most. Ironically and by comparison, Dame will expose Freak's weaknesses in half court battles and in crunch time.
I agree it will expose the freaks' weakness but it will also make the opposing teams' defense thin, nobody can defend both of this players at the same time. There's no team in my mind that can defend this combination, specially in the East..
