I had mine for 9 years and given it quite a hammering up at my allotment and in the back garden. The only thing I've needed to replace is the plastic wire guard a couple of times as they shatter when they pick up debris like stones. Probably not a huge problem in a back garden though. The good thing about Makita is that replacement parts are readily available and reasonably priced. The motor's finally gone on mine so will probably replace it with the newer version or might get one of the two wire versions.
Why are you reviewing such a old model. The replacement for the DUR181 is why better. (DUR193) BTW Makita make better ope then Milwaukee. Dont know why you kept on raving about that inferior Milwaukee line trimmer. Switch to a xgt line trimmer. Thank me later
If u remove the guard , ur string make more wider to 16”
Thanks for the great information👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Are these actually good? do they last for more than a season? they just seem like cheap china products that would fail in most scenarios
This is good for a small garden and still going strong, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
