My whole family got food poisoning from a Christmas dinner at a relative's place. It hit us each one by one, so our entire holiday break was just us throwing up and in bed, with anyone recovered taking care of the others.
Yeah. I have an immunodeficiency as well... Twice. I had Scarlet Fever twice. On a positive note, I feel like us "sickly" people had an advantage over the norms when Covid hit. We're already VERY aware of the reality of contagion and have spent much if our lives staying away from sick people, washing our hands frequently, cleaning our phones, etc. 🤷♀️
You are right, and 90% of people suspecting food poisoning is not actually food poisoning. A lot is just filthy people not washing their hands after taking a dump and getting one of the plethora of pathogens that occur. Ironically they blame the food they ate. When it was their nasty poop fingers. 💩🖐=🤮
I had scarlet fever and mono at the same time once. There's a solid three days I don't remember at all except for my mom physically waking me up to drink some gatorade and take my meds. it was NOT fun. I remember being at the doctor's office on a Tuesday, don't know how I got home because I had driven myself to the appointment, and then I woke up and it was Saturday.
No but link is right about losing the food that you love. I used to loooovveee chicken alfredo but after my anniversary dinner at Olive Garden I got food poisoning and now the only pasta I can stomach is spaghetti :(
Oof, ice cream is soo good. Is this one those situations you become lactose intolerant later in life or was this early on? Recently i discovered my stomach doesn’t like boiled milk if taken too quickly. Nothing major, just a minor upset stomach. But if mug of milk is drank over course of an hour, then my stomach gives me no problem. I don’t really consume very much milk, but i began using boiled milk for my coffee rather than water recently which rose my milk intake.
Angelina (?) mentioned "sick time" and I got SO confused in European lmao. I just googled it and that's wild. Like, you can't control if you get sick??
you can always tell your boss you're sick, and not come in - any time it's just, after a certain point, you won't have the leave available to cover your absence that's all (of course, with some bosses, there is a chance you might not have a job to return to, after your stint.........)
@@W3althy_Burrito No, in the US. I'm sure it's not nearly as bad in Canada. People seem to forget that our country isn't America, it's part of America.
My husband got food poisoning from a Popeyes Fried Chicken. He wasn't sick before, but 30-60 minutes later, he had stomach cramps, nausea, weakness and was sweating and clammy. Throwing it all up was what made him feel a little better, but it lingered in his system for almost 5 days. (Don't worry we checked with a doctor to make sure it wasn't anything more serious )
I’ve had food poisoning twice, one at a wedding…. Damn you potato salad! And the second time I was in Australia and heading to 1770 and on the way, we ate at a food court in a mall in like, bundaberg…. And just as we got to 1770, it hit me. I spent the first two days we were there in the bathroom of the hostel hugging a toilet with my friend who ate the same thing I did. Even brought my sleeping bag in there and crashed on the floor. Some very nice girls from the Netherlands offered my friend and I some electrolyte packets and water bottles. They were amazing.
As soon as Angelina said she was from Chicago I knew she was the one driving to Wisconsin. As a Wisconsinite, I know the Illinois folks invade the interstates.
I got food poisoning from one of those frozen dinner things (I think it was like a pork chop or something like that). And I used to think I got food poisoning from a lasagna once, turns ou I'm allergic to basil.
I went to a relatives for a family party of some sort. Local pizza place for dinner and home made desserts. Idk if it was dinner or dessert but I tasted and could even identify the food when I saw it a second time. Weirdly came up in the order it went down, not in reverse. Tasting the brownies a second time made me uneasy with melted chocolate for a good amount of time. Both ends is the roughest part of food poisoning.
Put all 4 stories together and you get my covid experience!! No food was eaten though. I can feel for these guys though, not fun at all, scary at some points!
I've had food poisoning a few times but since this is about fast food, I've had it once from Domino's when I was 8 months pregnant and once from Chipotle about 15 years ago. I've never eaten at either of them since those times I was sick
I don't remember if I mentioned this on my previous account/on this channel, but I got very mild food poisoning from Subway twice. The first 2 times I had their pizza (which was a new addition) I had to get to a toilet within like 5 minutes. And had to keep going back like every 20 minutes the first time. But after the 3rd pizza, I was fine. Still fine every time. Even after years without one, I was fine. But I don't recommend them to anyone without a warning lol. But I really like them, and they're way more consistent at any Subway than any except my hometown one with my sandwich order.
I got some food poisoning from some pizza from Costco. I'm lost like 5 pounds from that because I couldn't keep anything down. I don't think I've had pizza from there since.
That happened to me my daughters first Christmas! Idk if it was the water or sparkling apple cider but I haven’t eaten anything and spent Christmas Eve night & Christmas morning hugging the bowl.
with stomach bugs, Always vomit into your puke can while sitting on toilet lol (Also, remember, you probably got food poisoning from something the day or 2 before you THINK you got it, so many misplaced food poisoning yelp reviews misplaced LOL)
I've only had one case of serious food poisoning, and it was from the spinach artichoke dip at a racetrack. My mom, cousin and I ate it, my father did not and he was the only one who didn't get violently ill.
When my class went on a NY trip during senior year, I heard that a bunch of people on the bus were throwing up with food poisoning. I wasn't there, so yay me I guess.
I got food poisoning from a restaurant when I was pregnant and my morning sickness is already so bad I have been hospitalized every pregnancy for IV fluids at least once
A good thing about my possible food poisoning experiences is that I couldn’t really blame it on what I ate the night before, because my family ate the same thing and they didn’t get sick.
Staph A infection in the pelvis leading to toxic shock syndrome is more likely from a foreign body (e.g. tampon), not GI etiology unless there's a fistula involved.
Keep in mind. It's a FACT that food poisoning takes roughly TWENTY-FOUR HOURS to SET IN so it it's USUALLY the place you ate at the previous day. It just happens at around the same time you're having your next day meal. I do currently hold certifications in good safety in the state of Iowa. So I know these things.
I had food poisoning from burger king about 10 years ago ..i've never been back had a burger three days later I was bad when to doctors n everything . 😔🤮🤢

Everyone blames their most recent meal but unless you have a weak/compromised immune system it can take up to 24 hours before food poisoning sets in.
