Game idea: Which fast food is indeed the fastest? In other words, trying to guess how much time it actually took to prepare some iconic fast dishes in some iconic fast restaurants. It's something I genuinely wonder as well.

as someone who also has this problem, i assure you, it gets old fast. i'm a woman but i have to buy men's jackets (or jackets 2-3 sizes too large) in order to fit my arms. >.
Rhett at least has a shirt collar that fits. Link is about 3 sizes too big.
As a former fast food worker, the reason the cheese was “upside down” on the McGriddles is because the heat from the sausage melts the cheese while they’re wrapping the sandwiches 😅
But why would it melt upwards though?

And at mcd we do make them upside down lol all breakfast sandwiches are made upside down ! Bc the center logo of the wrapping is meant to be right on the top of it
I once had a woman return her sandwich because, and I quote, "It doesn't look like the picture." I was speechless. So we remade it, changing nothing, and she was happy. But every fastfood worker will tell you, it never looks like the picture.

During the McGriddles portion of the episode, the platform they put the food on is COVERED in dust. As they put the McGriddles down you can see they pick up portions of that dust and is then placed into the mouths of Rhett and Link.
The dust layer magically disappears for the second food judgment

2:05 the "buns" themselves are the actual "Mcgriddles", since you can order them as their own item.
However each one individually is a "Mcgriddle" and any sandwich made using them is by extension a "Mcgriddle Sandwhich".
You have to do a thousand more of these. The gloved hands daintily rotating fast food makes me laugh every time.

I rearrange my burgers. It's not about appearance. It's about wanting all my toppings and burger inside the bun and as equally distributed as possible.

I used to work Grave shift. Carl's Jr Breakfast burger was the perfect thing to get after work. It covered that confusing feeling of going home in the morning to go to bed, and not sure what to eat... breakfast or dinner?
The Carl's Jr burger is pretty much a normal breakfast burger in Australia. It's usually called a tradie burger.

Rhett I am someone who rearranges their burgers. If I didn’t personally make it then more than likely I won’t get everything on it in one bite. I definitely make sure I get a bit of every topping plus burger and bun before I eat.

I've never worked in fast food but something tells me that "presentation" is the least of the workers concerns when they're just trying to survive and make a living.
I think McDonald's puts a cold piece of cheese on the mcgriddle and then wraps the paper over top and it pushes the cheese upward and then melts in that position.

I feel like the McGriddle winning is skewed. You pair it up against other sandwiches that have 6-8 ingredients while it only has 3. Of course it’s going to look better due to the lack of ingredients also making it easier to assemble, wrap, and transport.

Omg the griddle was my favourite when it had the folded egg, in Canada (Ontario) they changed them to round eggs and theyre no where as good :(
They got rid of the folded egg in the UK too and I miss them. I don't like the circle eggs, I don't know about other countries but here the circle eggs are all fresh cracked and free range but for some reason they're not good as the folded were.
@@violetskies14 yes here in Canada they’re fresh and cracked daily but still I don’t love them! They never crack the yolk and it’s like a big chunk of gross 🤣 I worked there when I was 15 and used to always get the griddle and now I’ll never get it and just don’t like their breakfast anymore
When I worked a McDonald’s in college (in the early 90s), ALL of the eggs were freshly cracked.

Once they fully automate the fast food industry and get rid of all the human employees, it'll be interesting to revisit this and see which machine does the best job.
Why can’t people understand that they make the sandwich in a wrapper…?? It might sit upside down in the bag even though properly made… the cheese melts in the direction the sandwich sits in the bag!

Not sure if it’s considered “fast food” but Tim Hortons has some amazing breakfast options. I really like their farmer’s wrap, it’s got a hashbrown, egg, cheese, a chipotle sauce, and your choice of bacon or sausage. It’s incredibly delicious, it’s a great breakfast (I had it while working a lot) and it’s incredibly affordable.
The farmers wrap is easily the best item on Tim Hortons menu. I’m just sad that we don’t have the McGriddle in Canada.

Carl's Jr breakfast burger is one of my favorites to eat! Really neat idea they had. I was interested to try it once I saw a burger a breakfast. MMMM so good.

To me, the order of ingredients may actually matter on a sandwich. Especially at chains. They designed it a certain way so certain ingredients hit at the right time.
At Arbys they had cards that showed what order the ingredients go on the sandwich.
Imagine if McD's messed up the order of things on their big macs like BK does with their burgers. Outrage! Chaos!
