Countless times now she has completely changed how I understand and feel about a song. Its like hearing it for the first time and never wanting to go back to the "original".
You are correct , when I first heard the title of this song, I thought oh no she doing a song about a sex change.Cuz I never heard Beyonce' do this cover . Now after listening to Angelina cover this. I have to admit Its one of my favorite performances of hers. So much emotion and passion, Mind blowing!!

Nice reaction! On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. She had just broken up with the man that she loved. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce.
Who is Toby Gad? Gad is a German music producer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. He is known for co-writing songs including John Legend's biggest hit, "All of Me", the fifth-highest certified single in RIAA history, and for co-writing and producing "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie and "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé. I have listened to this song in multiple venues some 60 times now, and each time it gets better, especially this performance in church with the strings, just exquisitely beautiful. This will be a magical year for Angelina. A story-teller supreme, gifted with a voice like none other. If only the rest of the world would hit pause and take a moment to listen to this young lady sing. Nourishment for the soul, in a very beautiful package.
@boz352..her vocals are spot on❤, i live in a multi gererational house that shares music daily..i have played AJ to them many times. They all agree her vocals are stunning, but none of them like the content. The only person who relates to it is my mum ( early 90's). The younger generation seem to want songs that deal with their life style/ issues, mental health etc. I guess thats why Ren, Dirt Miller, Chinchilla etc are so huge with the late teens and upwards..just my thoughts on why her fan base stays pretty level..❤

Why am l still surprised that Angelina can take a song l am bored with and let me understand it, really understand it for the first time?
The big difference with Beyonce, Tylor and other "divas", in addition to AJ's enormous talent and vocal quality, is that when she sings you listen to what she says, you feel what she communicates to you, the others hide their limitations in the show, the paraphernalia and show a lot of skin.
One famous director, producer, Quincy Jones stated that Angelina is the greatest "RAW TALENT" he has ever seen since Michael Jackson. Many in the music industry say she will become the "Next Big Thing" in a few years.
Angelina always tells the story in a song. Everything about this is phenomenal except the song itself which is kinda dumb.
