You forgot the most important step -- git gud.
Lmao thats for sure an important part of the process
Awwww shit!
u both are awesome, callap ?
Andrew Baena A wild Andrew Baena has appeared
@@AJbassist boi called it
Step one: Acquire the power of the water bottle
Thats step 0 ;)
Step H20.
me: time to go to sleep
youtube: this video
me: aight time to practice guitar
The sheer amount of memelording in this entire video is as incredible as the quality of the advice. NOICE
Lmao thanks dude! :D
9.9/10 not enough water bottles
^^^^
Your voice is so deep jeez
It's from smoking too many water bottles
+Nik Nocturnal I bet you make pipes and bongs out of water bottles and smoke that. Do you also snort water??
Sometimes, depends on how fast I need to get the song done
Don't lie to us! The only things needed to learn new songs are legendary water bottles that you possess :D but seriously great video :)
Lmao thank you! The water bottles are for sure a major part of this method
Not enough water bottles.
Fuck, I knew the water bottle game wasn't good enough, next time my friend
must construct additional water bottles
Kyle Meyer maybe some Kleenex too

Awesome video man, I think that your channel could really grow faster if you do more personal videos like this where you are talking to your viewers and teaching them things, but of course the awesome covers must always be the main part of your channel
Aha thank you! I'll try to do more of these for sure but of course my main focus are my originals and covers :)
Lol how little did Roman know this comment would age like a fine milk😂😂😂
I love how you build in music composition. I've been hearing music theory slowly and surely but yes this video helps a lot!!! Thanks Nik
I feel like the title should be, "Tips for Figuring Out How to Play Modern Metal Songs" because that's what it is. Also that ending got me. 😅
I can't thank you enough for this video. It has helped me tab so many songs that hadn't already been tabbed before, especially Fit For An Autopsy songs like The Travelers, and Murder In The First.
Been waiting for this for a loooooong time, THANK YOU!
Thank you for being patient and waiting! :)
Mad props for making this. I guess I’ve always just tried by picking my favorite parts, generally improving up int those points, and then work backwards. But from now on I think I’ll say “if I want to play is long, I’m going from the beginning in order”
I always wanted to see a video like this. Thank you so much, it's super helpful!
Thanks for watching Luiza! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Love the practical method. I used to play guitar for years before I switched over to film making. You're going to help a ton of people with this. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks dude! Hopefully :)
honesty is the best, and I can say that this "tutorial" is pretty spot on! Listen to what this guy says and listen to your instincts and you'll be surprised at how well you can accomplish things! Also the scales he provided in the description really are key to have memorized, it makes such a huge difference knowing your scales and I haven't even mastered them yet.
Thank you! I really appreciate the support my friend. I actually just made a video on the most used scales in metal so be sure to check it out when u have a second :)
If the song you're learning is from one of your favorite bands, you can pretty easily figure out the tunings. For instance with children of bodom, the tunings they use are drop b, drop c, c# standard and d standard. So if the lowest note is a d, I'll know to tune to d standard instead of drop d. Knowing what tunings your band is using will help tremendously.
You need more subs man, u're awesome!
Thank you! I appreciate your support :)
Finally ! Great job man, keep up the good work ;)
Thanks dude! Hope it helped :D

I love the “so let’s go” reference. So DL.
:D
A very elaborate explanation man, thanks!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it ^__^
1. Listen to song
2. solo starts
3. oh that's kinda cool. It's only 16th notes. If I practice a lot I can do this.
4. Solo guitar starts with 32ths shredding over 5 different scales with random 32th triplets sweeps
5. Play bass
I love your advice on scales and modes!!! Thanks
Thank YOU for watching :)
Wow. Thanks! I'll hopefully post a cover soon now

Really appreciate this video haha. I've always been the guy who gets bored when trying to study theory but now I might force myself.
Its also ironic that you chose Mikasa because that was the next song I wanted to learn regardless.
Thank you! Theory can help a lot, helps you identify patterns a lot easier :)

I loved it, thumbs up for you bro
Great tips. Been waiting for this one a long time!! Btw the edition and type of humor were on point, reminded me of Vow of Volition videos.
My only concern is that the pictures are damn small sometimes haha, keep it up.
XD Thanks for the support dude! Yeah I had over 30 picture in the end and I could either spend the time to resize EVERY single one of them or just release it before the new year, so I thought it was worth it to just release it :)

Thanks man, I need to do this
He's right you can't stress how important music theory actually is. It's also Inspiring. Also thanks for the tips.
Thanks Jared! I appreciate the support
best edit ever
Now I just need a guitar...
And know how to play it
Don't know how I missed this, but thanks man!
I would also like to add that its really helpful to watch music videos to see where their hands are and what chord shapes theyre doing. Along with videos of them doing it live. Ive learned lots of songs by doing that.
That's a great tip, I actually didn't think of that at the time! Thank you for contributing my friend! :D
Please more instructional videos! I have your exact same schecter c-1, Floyd rose and all, and would love some videos or just personal advice on maintaining intonation while changing tunings and keeping the action steady etc. just got it recently and though I like the fr it is foreign to me.
other stuff though like scale tutorials, more ear recognition training, etc would be amazing and have me coming back to this channel constantly.
cheers hopefully you have something you can add to how you deal with the FR because my action is always going bonkers when I change tunings.
Nik my buddy this video is so good everybody should be a progressive guitarist now haha
Awesome video
Thanks dude! :D
Fucking nice! Mikasa is such a great song
I think the only thing I don't do is the scale part. I always did find the lowest note in the song and fine the tuning plus learning parts accurately. Awesome video!
I've kept my eye open to your channel for a long time now. I would really like too see you freestyle, too get an idea of your own style. After all those covers dude, i have no doubt in my mind that you could write some killa stuff. \,,/
Thanks! I have a lot of original material on my channel, check out CALAMITY or THE WELL when u have a second :)
haha i loved this video, thanks for the tips
And thank YOU for watching :)
