Katchi Katchi is pretty much puerto rican jibaro music. I heard more jibaro music in Hawaii than when I lived in Puerto Rico. Katchi-Katchi is the sound of the guiro.
True bro I’m from Kauai and my grandfather is Puerto Rican from Santurce . And when I went to Puerto Rico to visit family after hurricane maria I think I saw some of the best backyard bands ever I mean like wowwwww !!!!!!!no electricity just oil lamps candles flashlights piano guira tambora timbales congas saxophone trumpets and dammmmmm I remember the older uncle telling me about how back in the days they didn’t need electricity like reggaeton needs electricity and a studio to be made!! But they just played regular instruments!! The music was so good and the dancing even better I grew up in a different chain of islands in Hawaii but I’m glad I got to visit the other homeland :))
