Which I am playing instead of this garbage right now, for practically free!! Timeless game; they should have just put the DX version along with the SNES package instead of charging the heinous $60 for this mainstreamed trash!!

Sooo i just got this game...how do i get the fairy inside the jar? I've gotten 2 fairies so far and lost them both. And i have the bottle
Oh man I almost died of laughter in the pot hole area
13:34 In this small lake is a sea shell that normally is only obtainable once you can swim, but with very precise placing and movement using the pegasus boots and Roc's Feather you can jump to the other side of the immovable stones and the jump to the island with a bush to obtain it early. I reccomend having the secret medicine in case you mess up and dont want to get a game over. To do this line up link very close to the edge of the water and if you jump and hear splashing sounds you're where you need to be. Run and jump right before you hit the stones and hold youre joystick up left and link should land on the other side. Hop over, grab the shell, and do the same thing to get back. Its a bit tricky, but this allows you to get this sea shell earlier than intended. If you find this tip helpful leave a like so Austin can see this and perhaps show it in a later episode 😁.
And how do I get OUT
The fire skull thing in the castle, sprinkle magic on it to turn it into a fairy.

Pro Tip: you can easily defeat Mace Guy by throwing bombs from the second floor.
I tried that in hard mode and he re-spawned when I when back in the room
He re spawns in normal too
Throw him 4 bombs then go in and he only needs a few hits
I played alttp, so I knew how most of the enemies worked.
i killed him easy by standing diagonal from him. its hard to explain without video but essentially his mace reflects off my shield allowing me to hit him without taking damage
I don’t have the game yet but when I get it these r the best guides 100%
5:22 he had hit my shield which pushed me to the entrance but not leave ( I do this a lot since most of the time they can’t really touch you)holding your shield and hitting him once he hits you is a pretty good strategy

Before you fight the ball and chain guy. The room with pots. To the left in pot in Bomb to the Right is a heart. Go out and back in and they respawn. Good for before and after fight. (Pro Tip)
That Pro Tip for the gold guy earned a like lol. Love that you went through the effort of editing that
This is a great series explaining everything about the game except you made one mistake. At the start of the inside of the castle, the first enemy you came across (you called it a "Fire Skull Guy") is actually an anti-fairy, and if you throw magic powder on it it'll turn into a fairy. But that's the only way to defeat them lol.
You don’t have to line up the middle just make sure you jump barely before the pothole and you can clear 2potholes easy (so long there is clear safe space on the other end) you can do the same with gaps two spaces wide in dungeons
Please point out the newly discovered soft lock outside the slime door because I’m currently stuck and can’t get out, some people have got out of it but I can’t, the jump is in the pond to the east of it and it’s a frame perfect just to get back without the flippers

The chain bomb guy room- stay in the doorway... He will come to you swinging. Hold shield and hit him with the sword when the ball passes your shield. Seems he can’t knock you back into the room you entered from whilst in the door way :). Hope this helps

I found throwing a bomb followed by a couple of strikes worked pretty well, tricky in a small room but fairly quick
6:00 a good strategy I found for this Darknut with the Mace is to place a bomb between you and him and he will walk into it and you can avoid his attack. I beat him pretty fast doing this.
Everyone if you go to the castle without bombs you can get one from the top level room that has pots in it it’s only one and that’s actually all you need for the castle. The left guy in the wall is the only one you need to place a bomb for bc the other one doesn’t have a gold leaf.
That jump in pothole field for the heart took me like 30 tries, gave me a good laugh thou seeing someone else was getting eaten by the potholes too😂😂

I used bombs against the golden armour guy and that had worked pretty good for me, i also defeated him while on the upper ledge by throwing bombs down but he re-spawned when i entered again

you can hop over two holes, if you do a sword attack right after you jump. timed correctly
If your timing is right OR you are lucky based on your movement patterns, seems like you actually can hit "the mad bomber" when he has no bomb.
Ok, so after you went all the way up north, then at 13:35, you go back to the Slime Dungeon. Those pillars are now blocking the entrance to the Slime Dungeon from Pothole City (or whatever it’s called). You totally skipped how you made it from up north back to the dungeon. I’m officially stuck! I’ve tried coming in from the warp point near Mabe Village as well as from the Seashell place. There seems to be no way back in and I feel like I should have just gone into the dungeon at the point I unlocked it and gone up north later.
Any words of wisdom?
I got that heart piece on the second try just by jumping over the double holes. Not even in the middle. It should work if you time it right and push forward the whole time. Even made it back without falling.

Isn't the "fire skull guy," in the gold leaf castle, an anti fairy that can become normal fairy with a bit of magic powder? Please correct me if I'm wrong; I'm not in that area atm to test it out but I think I remember doing so before xD

there is a boom on the left side of the pot room and a heart on the right... if you keep going in and out on the castle side they keep resetting so you can stock up.... my guess is the game wants you to use booms to take out the gold guy... ;)

I’m on day two on this game and already at the last dungeon 😭 I feel silly spending $60 on a game I’m going to finish in 3 days. Comparing to the countless hours I put into my BOTW files. Still fun as this is my first play through of Links Awakening but still. I had a lot of fun doing the dungeon set ups at Dante’s though and scanned in all the amibos (NFC cards ‘cause amibos esspensive!)
Unlimited free bombs in the room before the guard with the ball on the chain. Just break the 3 pots to the left and leave out the south door then reenter. 1 free bomb each time.

What the DeCoud scrub meant was you know how that guy creased your capacity because he woke him up by sprinkling magic powder on that lamp thing that’s what the day goes scrub means
Outside Richards house, if you cut the grass that the heart piece is sitting on, it makes it easier to reach it.

In the room at the top of the castle where the door is you open with a pot you can collect free hearts and bombs.
The pot in the group of 3 on left of the room the one in the very corner contains a bomb the bottom one on right hand side of the room contains a heart collect and leave the room and they respawn.
if you spend the time to get the bow you can spam him with arrows and he only can hit you a little before he dies
I went ahead and bombed the 2nd door for the guard. He drops the piece of power. I ran in the room with the gold guard really quick with 1 heart and beat him in a few hits 😁😁 I still have my fairy and magic cream haha

You can make that 2 hole jump easier if you charge a spin attack jump then release the spin attack
5:58 when you are fighting the guy with last golden leaf, use your roc feather

Pro strat for the mace guy is to run around dropping bombs and cowering behind your shield. Works every time

For all the people saying you can throw bombs over the edge prior to the mace knight. He respawns in this remake, BUT the bow and bomb combo is the best weapon in this fight.

The castle reminds me of Dark Souls, due to having a castle theme and physical shortcuts.
... Obviously, way older than Dark Souls but there you go.
You can turn the spinning fire skulls (Anti-Fairies) into fairies with your magic powder, just like in Link to the Past.
The trees are refering to the upgrade system for bombs/arrows and MP.
Farm rupees that bow and arrow works wonders from the beginning of the fame

You can get a fairy from the fire skull guy inside the castle if you throw magic powder on it
Use some magic powder on that fiery skull thingy and it turns into a fairy. I think it's called an anti-fairy.
Note: Those crazy moving skulls work just like A Link to the Past. Just sprinkle some magic powder on it and you will receive a fairy.
The bow makes super easy work of mace-swinging-dude! just don't get timed where he blocks all your arrows like I did...
So I have the slime key but when I go to the dungeon the bars are still up! What am I missing??
