I own a Volkswagen Routan myself. I bought it with the intention of making it a daily confortable sleeper with nice styling. I to this day, managed to get 359 hp out of that 3.6L V6, and recorded a 4.8 seconds 0-60mph. I added BBS wheels and and got it on air suspension. I love my Routan so much.
Dang dude. Sounds like a blast. I love having weird stuff look so cool. I’m itching for a eurovan so I can slam it as well. I’d love to see your Routan in action!
I just bought a 2011 routan with 135,000. It was down the street from my house on the side of the rd. It started selling at $4,000. And sat for about 4 months i was watching it because i had a vw jetta b4 and really liked how the ride, so i finally stopped to check it out . i got it that day for $ 3,000 cash. The person selling didnt even know it had 2 tvs and all the storage which there is tons of. I have had some ruff times in life and i had ackually lived out of a honda odyssey van just a few years ago. 2 tvs would of been pretty sick back then. But this van is def. A come up for me. I love it.
We actually bought our 2013 Routan in 2014 when it had 5,000 miles on it because a Volkswagen executive drove it for a while. It’s been a very great car and we’ve put 80,000 miles on it without any problems.
Was the other van a Volkswagen Routan also or was it a Dodge Caravan or a Chrysler Town & Country I have a Routan if pretty dependable as long as you keep pouring money into it I used it to travel and sleep in the 3.8 engines have a problem with head gaskets and cooling systems the Transmissions don't have a dipstick so you can't tell when they're getting low I did watch a video where you can use your oil dipstick if you know how many millimeters is in an inch but if you can keep up with it it did the job
Hey bro I just subscribed ! I’m curious if I should buy one today it has 138K on it and they say it runs! I can get it probably for under 2500$ Should I get it ! It would be for my family of 5, but I also sells cars on the side. Please advise!
Easy. Jetta Tdi wagon. I prefer the DSG Auto over the manual transmission. I have plenty of videos on Tdis. They are great cars. VW has reached the end of the recalls so I would get one sooner rather than later. Especially if you want to get one with a fresh recall. I bet prices will go up since supply has stopped. The Routan is okay but it's just a dodge caravan with VW badges.
@@spottedeuros1529 Ive also noticed about all of the sunroof cars on the lot this morning, had frosted windows/windshield from the inside. Is that common and a sign of faulty sunroofs?
Cisco Hour the panoramic sunroofs are known to leak sometimes. Most of the time the drains just need to be cleaned. You’ll see water stains in the headliner if it’s really bad. I personally don’t like the panoramic sun roofs that much. The shades go bad and even with a good shade it still feels like the sun it beating on you. You can find one without sunroofs.
@@spottedeuros1529 Your reply and the horror stories, even if only a few, I've read made my decision. No sunroof. No need to shell out for a repair on a luxury option. I want one of these cars for the basics. I'm good with the smaller rim and no navigation now.
Cisco Hour I’m with you on that. I rather have the more basic model if it means no sun roof. Especially if you live in a warm place. I’m kind of itching to pick a Jetta wagon Tdi myself. We will see.

I have one for the space an name ,I want a torage now .
I'm in the market for either a Routan, Jetta TDI wagon or a MKS Ecoboost. All are pretty cheap now. Any opinions?

Loved this story!
Being from Ireland I have Never heard of a Routan in my life 😂 very Tiguan like headlights
Must have only made them in the US. The front end is very similar to the early Tiguans.
Spotted Euros The exhaust sounded good ;)
Mr330d haha a little more throaty.
Its like a cross between a tiguan and sharan.
It was a Chrysler minivan with a VW face.
Found my new favorite. LOL. VW and flipping cars. No language. No way.
Thanks for watching! We are only getting started.
@@spottedeuros1529 just getting started, that's a great sign.
