  • We both own new to us hoopty Honda Fits and will be taking them to the track. Today we are fixing Mitch's exploded clutch in his fit. Join us in our low IQ excursions.

    i have a Honda jazz (its called a fit in America) with a cam shaft position sensor error (or there was before it was erased) mine wont start at the min it but im working on fixing it this week end ill keep u updated just in case u experience the same issue.
    symptoms :
    rough idle
    stalls when reversing
    revs will almost die then pop back up to to 1k RPM whilst idling
    engine will sound like metal parts are clanking together but visual inspection disproves this.
    the check engine AND the icy road warning lights will come one at the same time and kill he power to your engine... if your lucky u can drive it home or to a garage for repairs.

      @@FitFrensofficial its oneof 5 things:
      1 the cam shaft sensor itself (i replaced mine problem still exists)
      2 the wire of the cam shafter sensor leading back to the ECU
      3 the crank shaft sensor will also trigger the same code (not changed on mine yet)
      4 the wire of the crank shaft sensor leading back to the ECU
      5 the ECU itself ... the most problematic and expensive piece to fix.

      @FitFrensofficial update for you... I've reset the ECU no wires seem to ve at fault or sensors, the feul pump and a ground wire is also on the list when I can get to those but now I'm in a state of crank no start with ecu reading it needs to relearn the idea position.
      Ecu tested and has no faults but car still won't tick over for the final start after cranking.
