I love how he calls her Gillan instead of Karen, like he calls Amy Pond Pond instead of Amy :)
Dastia maybe her given name is Gillian
Kathleen Smith her name is karen gillan
It's a Non-American thing. Many cultures in Europe and Asian reserve first names for close relationships
@@MizukiUkitake yeah but Matt and Karen's relationship would definitely count as close. She also called him Matt and there are numerous clips on RUclips where they call each other by their first names on set.
@@MizukiUkitake Not really in the UK, unless your talking to a teacher or someone of great importance you tend to just call people by their first name but some people prefer to be called by their surnames or friends just sometimes do that. Also calling someone by their first name is the standard with co-workers that your not close with.
Matt is basically the doctor except the doctor is more sciency so he is the doctor here. gotta love him
Why isn't he my teacher? He is explaining funny words like viscosity and relativity and then Tennant barges in like "Physics! Physics physics physics physics physics "
He so memorized that explanation as if he was memorizing the Doctor's lines.
Antony D'Andrea Matt: I know things, secrets that must never be told; knowledge THAT WILL MAKE PARASITE GODS BLA-"
Director: "Matt, that's the wrong script!"
Matt: "Oh sorry, I was saving that one for when I saw a great, round monstrosity"
Andrew De Jesus "GOD'S BLA-" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Why dont matt and karen start an education show? I would binge watch the shit out of that
Because invited guests would have a bit of a tendency to die.
*COUGH* SEEMSFAMILIAR *COUGH*
Arturo Casab 100 like
Give that man a TARDIS! Because, honestly, Matt Smith didn't play the Doctor he is the Doctor.
2:14 matt was so excited, like a kid XD
Matt your Doctor is showing
I love how when Matt was explaining the thing, it sounded like the Doctor was explaining it. :) (Probably because Matt is the Doctor.) :)
I dont wanna see him regenerate again :(
Am I the only one who loves it when Matt Smith explains stuff.
Matt just ran across it and kept going. It like, "there's a door here!"
Angela Smith Should have snapped his fingers
I like how Matt explains the cornflour batter all scientifically and it was kind of like his Doctor voice and it made me all happy
"viscosity, that's a funny word" so much hotness
oh man when Matt got all excited to do it XD
I just came to hear karens and Matt's voice
+Acer Ng Yesss, missing them
+Isabela Gomide Why are you guys missing them?
Acer Ng MATT COME BACK TO DOCTOR WHO!!!
I love how he went into Doctor mode while explaining it xD
Karen's squeals 😂
1:26 took me right back to the episode that got so many of us started, "Rose." Why?
Look again and tell me that doesn't look like the part where the trashcan wouldn't let go of Mickey.
Well, admittedly it looks a lot cooler because it's Matt Smith doing science-y stuff.
It also reminded me of rebel flesh episode
Meanwhile, in Britain
Meanwhile @ KFC
My goodness Karen's hair is literally so crazy! Did she even comb it? But I have a huge crush on Matt and a little one on Karen
matt was the doctor here he way he acted and talked
I know right.
I love Karen's happiness when she says "I did it!"
What are you doing to the Flesh?
IKR It looked EXACTLY like it!!
I'm so done 😂😂😂😂this made my day
That’s exactly what I was trying to say.
You have no idea how badly I want to do this.
Trust me I have an idea
Look at that white Dalek in the background. Just waiting to strike.
shadowarena it’s planning another Canary Wharf
I remember watching this live as a kid thought it was the coolest thing ever
1:07 A wild Dalek appears!
Dalek uses EXTERMINATE!
It's super effective!
Matt without a doubt should be a TV presenter if his acting goes to pot. Someone who presents something like Bang Goes The Theory. If he was my science teacher when I was at school I definitely would've paid more attention.
I love the way that Matt calls Karen 'Gillan' just like The Doctor calls Amy 'Pond'.
They shoved poor Matt into the wall! You can see it at 2:12
They didn’t shove him, they were trying to catch him
British Tv is weird man XD I love it
The good old days l loved it when Matt & Karen are having fun doing cool challenges 😂❤️
This is hysterical. Also really good educational technology. Really makes it interesting.
It would have made my day if Matt's endearingly eternal klutziness had granted him a face-first fall in the batter.
Matt and Karen can be my science teacher anyday. I'll show up every single day they are there. :D Love the baseball bat.
even when he isn't acting, matt smith is pretty much the doctor in the way he talks
In Mammoth Cave (not on the tour routes) there's a long passage, comfortable walking dimensions, that has a floor with very similar properties, but made from water and very fine silt. If you get up speed you can run for dozens of meters on the surface just as the TV presenters do here. When my party discovered this, six trained cave scientists turned into five year old kids. Past a certain point, the silt runs out in a perfect little short slope and it's crystal clear water downstream from there. (The depth of all of this fluid is no more than 30 cm or so, pretty shallow).
mum: study for the science exam
me:
why wasn't karen cast as harley quinn lmao
GOOD POINT
It's not fair. Why can men just wear a white shirt and instantly look good?
Woman don't even need to water anything to look sexy! 😆 (Sorry I had to)😂
Five years later, but anyways, nice to see another Child of the Fence... ;)
He should teach... he'd be amazing and so funny
It's not exactly walking on water, but damn it's impressive
How have I only just found this clip? This is gold!
Actual 5-year old Matt Smith
@celestialsalamander basicaly, the water and cornflour particles usually just float around together as a liquid but if u apply force, the water is squeezed out from between the cornflour particles and forms a solid. as soon as u release the pressure, the water particles rush back in and turn it into a solid again.
I love Matt. I like when Chris called him "Matthew"
I want him as my teacher ;)
@Dalekdom thank god you didnt fall asleep in that whole 2:46 minutes. matt smith you have done it again! awesome work!...
i love the way he reacts when karen says "lara croft."
It is so funny that Matt acts like the doctor at 1:00 when he explains the working of the non-newtonian fluid
karen has messy hair she loks oh so sexy. i have messy hair i look like a hobo
Hhaha, very hot indeed!
+Ariella B Im sebastian the hobo
I love how Matt ran into the wall at 2:12 XD
LOVE THIS!!! Food Molecular Science can be so fascinating!
he's exactly like the doctor in real life. EPIC WIN
@tigerlily536 it wasn't a commercial break. The BBC just jumped the video. In the UK the BBC aren't allowed to have breaks during their programmes.
Hands off Evans! You've had your Dr Who companion!
2:36 and Matt's like... "Nope.."
Best doctor and companion duo ❤️
1:05 Look the Dalek is enjoying the show like everyone, cute. :D
I love both of them I really don't see how people don't like Karen as an actor or a person she was brilliant as Amy I love how I say brilliant when I'm completely American and we don't tend to say brilliant but I think I'm going to start to see what bbc does to me but I love it
Matt literally is the Doctor.
The way matt walks off at the end, phwoar. :')
hahahahaha! Gillian stacked it @2:17
Where I live we call it oobleck. A reference to the Dr Seuss book ”Bartomeu and the Oobleck”
Matt Smith makes science fun!! I didn't fall asleep when he explained that cornflour thing to us like I do in Science lesssons with my teacher Pea-man!!
I know an actor who met matt in a london pub, they got on very well... (lucky bastard)
Matt Smith is awesome at explaining stuff.
I love how there's just a random dalek in the background
"You my friend are going to be that well know action hero...pee man." Haha! I love you Matt! XD
@1531Laura I only said that because I thought it was amazing how much his role as the Doctor had influenced his personality outside of set. No need for the sarcasm.
Who else got scared when they let Matt run across it?
doctor watch out theres a dalek behind you run!!!!!
He even waves his hands around like the doctor 😂
His socks get me every time!
Run across the cornstarch mixture? I've seen people break dance on it. As long as you keep moving, it will support you. If you stop, however, you start to sink instantly. Once you start sinking, you have to pull yourself out very slowly because if you go too fast, the mixture will harden and refuse to let go of your foot.
i went to london and met matt we spent a whole day together drinking coffee and talking we were friends then i saw him with daisy lowe and was torn apart i cried
I remember when I did this in my sixth grade class. It was awesome!
Karen's hair looks like she and matt were having some fun during the commercial break ;)
I would do so much better in science if Matt was my teacher!!!!!! :)
Jessica Scutchings I would just day dream about him
Matt Smith for science and David Tennant for literature (maybe physics).
Karen’s hair is literally me every day ❤️
couldn't stop starring at matt :)
When Karen said force
Me: You're so Scottish.
His socks !! Awesome ! hahaa :D
British TV ROCKS! O.O Why can't tv in the US be this awesome!?
Matt is so awesome
XD Karen shouted "AH! DOCTOR!" before she ran across. BUT. I want Matt to do mini online physics videos! WOULDN'T THAT BE SPECIAL?! 8D
why cant American news stuff be this fun?
American news agencies are afraid it might offend people. Remember political correctness. Never heard of it until the last 8 years. We've offended people for over 200 years......Some take the media a bit too serious especially when it comes to political dribble....
In what way are non-Newtonian fluids offensive?
?
Having fun or acting silly on a newscast would offend some anal-attentive viewers.....
Ah, well the way news is nowadays is depressive because they only tak about the negative stuff, and that offends me
I remember this stuff from chemistry last year.
HAHA i want Matt Smith to be my physics teacher!!!!!! that would be so awesome!!! i wouldnt mind getting up at 6 am for physics class at all if he was teaching :D
this man could spend hours explaining string theory and i wouldnt get bored
Matt talking all science-y is adorable
"Matt, you're a doctor..."
HAHAHA!
It was funny when karan shouted I love you pea man and it was funny when karan slipped an said I'm ok!ha ha and there luck to meet them because I really want to meet them .
He started to explain that and immediately just turned into the Doctor. 😂
legend has it that they are still in that to this day
Being the adorable klutz that he is, I'm surprised he wasn't the one to fall down! I think we have the wall to thank for that.
AND OH MY GOD I WANNA DO THAT
I would love to do that too some day. I'll start saving up for a mini-pool and lots of cornflour!
I'm so in love with Matt Smith he's so adorable and cute. 😍
as soon as the shot went to Karen at 1:29 i just saw the bat and smiled... :) go amy(karen)
Give Matt Smith his own show
The Dalek is like "I.AM.HERE.TO.SEE.THE.DOCTOR.FALL.!".
I really want a Doctor Who episode where there's an alien that is a nonnewtonian substance, so they use this stuff to make the alien. That would be really cool.
