When i hear you sing, I know angels are real
Very lovely❤
Absolutely beautiful!
I started playing the harp in January,. I also play the violin, piano & guitar. Thank you for sharing. :)
This is so pure and sincere that the chasm between this one and those naked "modern" artists with their useless yelling makes me cry.
Absolutely stunning! Oh my goodness
I was shocked. SO SO BEAUTIFUL!
This is the kind of performance that makes me so happy I wrote it! Love the stove in the background. Beautiful! And now for a tech geek question if you're up for it: how did you record and mix it? (what mics, processing)
Wow, I'm so touched to have a comment from the mastermind behind this stunning song!! Thank-you for writing it - it's such a privilege to sing this song. Hopefully someday I've be able to see you perform it live.
I record my audio with two RodeNT1 microphones, set up in stereo and plugged straight into the camera. I used to record singing and harp separately to have more control over the mix, but these days I keep it really simple and record all the audio and video at the same time - I like the feeling of "performing live" for my videos even though it doesn't allow for as much detail in post production. After recording I export the audio into ProTools to do a bit of equalisation and add a bit of reverb... nothing too fancy :)
It's a nice song! You did good on it! And I notice it's really popular with all sorts of amateur (and maybe pro) harpists/harpers. I've seen more videos of this song on my feed lately! Lol😁
You are magic
You sing and play like an angel ❤️😇
Thank-you Heather! 💜
On my list 🎶🎶
Your singing and harp are so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Wow! A beautiful song, sung by a lovely lady with a pretty voice and who plays the harp so well.

Never thought i would like a mideival song...😂 ill tell you a funny story. One day while driving i was tired of the radio, so i put this song on, good thing nobody pulled up next to me at the light or it would have been embarrassing.
The sound is so pretty.Excuse me, but can I get the sheet music file of Nightingale?
You can find the sheet music by Deborah Henson-Conant if you search “nightingale harp sheet music” 😊👍🏻
you remind me goodness is still here. Your music is full of that love
Who will sing for the Nightingale
when the night is gone;
when the daylight comes.
Who will sing for the Nightingale
when she sleep alone in the sun?
Many's the time her silken tones
soothed my rough and weary bones
Many's the time her lullabye
brought me to my rest.
But
who will sing for the Nightindale?
Her own sweet song is silent now
Who will sing for the Nightingale
when she sleep alone in the sun?
(Harp interlude)
Many's the time her silken tones
soothed my rough and weary bones
Many's the time her lullabye
brought me to my rest.
But who will sing for the Nightindale?
Her own sweet song is silent now
Who will sing for the Nightingale
when she sleep alone in the sun?
when she sleep alone in the sun?
Thanks for the lyrics!! I was wondering how it went!
Thank you for this magical melody is so pure.
A very nice musical moment.

I can't believe you can move that fast on an Ogden! Don't they have really high string tension? Super impressive :)
Haha yes it is very high tension!! Sometimes I exhaust my fingers 😅 For example in Clocks or Lark on the Strand or Butterfly Jig - you can see those videos online too. When performing on the Ogden I put the fast pieces near the end of a concert because I get tired afterwards.
Could you add this song to the Learning the Harp courses, please?
Hi there! I’m not currently doing courses of pieces written by other harp players, but you can get the sheet music for this song 😊💕
Lol, YOU'RE jealous? I'M jealous at how beautifully you sing AND play! (And just how lovely a person you are all around!😉) Thank you for this video!
By the way, do you have the link to the sheet music, and does it come with lyrics?
Ah that's so incredibly lovely of you Denise🥰. It really is such a stunning song!
The link to the sheet music is in the description 😊 you'll see all that's included when you follow the link.

Beautiful! You always look so happy when you perform :)
Thanks, my friend!
Great song! Very beautiful.
Can I ask where your pedal harp has been? I don't think it's been in a video since the unboxing, has it? Sorry if you've addressed this elsewhere :)
Hi JamieDanger! Thanks for the comment :) I've experienced complications with getting insurance for my pedal harp, so I didn't want to promote it on RUclips until I was ready to start performing with it in "real life"... I'm not moving that thing until I'm 100% sure it's covered by insurance!! :D But we're tying up the final loose ends this week so I will start working on a video. Thanks for asking!
Nice
Thanks...
Thank You Christy-Lyn for singing DHC Nightingale
If I pay a lot of money would you do a baroque piece with harp and voice ?
"If the nightingales could sing like you, They'd sing much sweeter than they do." Maurice Chevalier
Hey, on a semi-related note, are you fond of Harpo Marx?
Beautiful :D
Thanks my friend! Feels like too long since I've seen you! *hug*
Oh my god- it gave me chills! Your voice is so beautiful!! Which I didn’t expect. 😅 I didn’t imagine the voice could go so matchy with the harp playing. I’m from Asia and just started to learn mini harp a month ago and getting some more information. I just got to know of this channel 2 days ago and it’s amazing. Thank you for the informative videos! I love your way of teaching and your lively facial expressions! I’m so thankful that I got to have opportunity to learn harp in my late 30’s😊. I thought it was too late to learn any instruments in my age but when I saw a mini harp online a few months ago - I heard DESTINY~🎵 ringing in my ear. 🤣 I only got 5 personal lessons so far but I would like to improve a lot without worrying about a little bit of expensive fees.🥲I just can’t wait to try out your online courses someday! But the note we usually call is different as we use do re mi….style so when you say C D E… it’s somehow a little confusing. I could understand though it takes some time for me. 😅
Aw I’m so glad you’re learning harp! You’re not very old, there are people MUCH older who are learning for the first time! I think you will be able to adjust to learning with the letter names instead of do re mi. Maybe you can give it a try with our free trial, and see how it goes? You will get one course free which you can keep forever 😊
@@LearningtheHarp Sure I will definitely try the course this year! Thanks!💕💕
Beutifull 😍
Wow do you teach voice also? Your voice is so beautiful 🌻
Hi Isabella! No I don’t teach voice, but I do teach workshops on how to play harp accompaniment while you’re singing 😊💕
I love it :)
Sweet, thanks so much!
Omg! Not just playing the harp, but also Singing? Is there anything that you Can’t do? 😍💖🥰😊🥹

I love that song!! Was considering doing it. Do you think it would suit me and my harp? :)
I'm wondering how I can make sure that pronounce the words correctly...
