  • I took the ‪@SeaEagleBoats‬ FishSUP 126 out on the water during a windy day to test out two of the easiest ways to motorize the FS126. The ‪@Bixpy‬ J-2 can easily be mounted to the bottom of the SUP using the Slide & Lock adapter or it can be mounted to the transom using Bixpy's transom mount. Both options are fantastic, but one of the options struck me as being better for several reasons. I cover each set of pros and cons for the adapters. Starting points can be found below:
    05:25 - Transom Adapter
    12:00 - Slide & Lock Adapter
    21:34 - Which one do I prefer?

Thank you, I appreciate it. I hope it helps just a little bit. It's always hard to make short but I formative videos when comparing.

Wish I had seen this before buying the skeg mount! I like it for what it is, but fishing a shoreline would be easier with the transom mount, not to mention maneuverability!

Yes I think both have their strengths but the transom mount is the better of the two options for me. It's just easier to mount and unmount, clean, and work with when on the water.

Thanks for bringing up some great points! I have a Sea Eagle 385 Fast Track with a transom mount. My question is what are the advantages of the Bixpy motor over a normal electric trolling motor?

The biggest advantages are weight and portability. Even with a trolling motor with a lithium battery, the Bixpy setup is going to be lighter and more portable even with the transom mount. The Bixpy is also saltwater ready when a lot of trolling motors are not. The battery units for Bixpy also float and you won't have to worry about losing a battery accidently. The batteries are also lighter and even though the Bixpy motor may be slightly louder, it is very efficient for it's size.
