I saw Elvis in August of 1973 in Vegas and he surely moved well in that concert. I think he never fully felt at ease knowing there was a camera on him. I think he was afraid of giving offense with his moves in Aloha, with a worldwide audience. Most of his concerts he really moved.
Many people have opinions about Elvis but at the end of the day he gave 100% at the Aloha concert and the first entertainer to perform at a satellite concert..He was the greatest of all time.
The way Elvis performed his Aloha Hawaii Satellite Concert in January 1973, was perfect. He didn't move all over the place and he was spectacular! Elvis also looked super handsome for that concert 😍

I believe he felt that his Aloha performance was a much more formal performance unlike what he did in EOT and TTWII. Like you mentioned, he held back a lot but I think he was more concerned with giving a good vocal performance and keeping it simple with the choreography versus giving a performance like this where it's much more candid. It seems like Elvis always performed according to the environment he was in.
I'm 61 and a lifelong fan. See you have Elvis Day By Day! That is an awesome book . The photos are great. (the biographer is also great). Has a lot of stories about his generosity, his Mafia, and his tours. Elvis gave more than manufactured gifts. He gave of himself. If you look at his jumpsuit by the end of That's the Way it is, its completely soaked. He did that show twice a night.
I like your channel,I just wish you and other people who have a Elvis channel would talk about the good Elvis did and his voice and some of his good movies and how he helped people. All of his family and friend's and women he was around have written book's about him and his friend's have gone on tv and talked about bad thing's he did.We know what he did.I love his voice.I can't watch his concert's from 75 to 77,before he died. It's to hard.He had so much to live for.But they way he spent money and could not stand up to his Manager so sad. They alway's said you could not tell Elvis what to do.He would fire you.He had a bad temper. It's just so sad to me.There will never be another Elvis.I loved his smile. And his laugh. Some of his later concert's they have said his body hurt so that is why he didn't move around alot.He had alot of health problem's.If he could see how much we all still love him he would of been so happy.Thank's for all of the video's you find of Elvis.I love Elvis no matter what he did wronge. It was his life.I just want to remember his voice and the good person he was to his fan's.I just hate that he did the drug's that brought him down to early!!!!!
@@ElvisistheMan_ Where do I look for that at?????I saw a video where some women saw him live in concert and they said his first concert he was all sweaty and then his second concert he looked worst.I don't think Elvis can make anyone happy!!!!!Thank's for writing me back.I hope your channel keep's growing fast!!!!!
It's a fact...look at Elvis' hands in Kid Galahad. The day before, maybe few days before filming he was in California at his house and the "infamous twins" showed up at the gate. Priscilla was waiting to pull in and those twin women tried to assault her. Cilla is screaming, runs in the house, Elvis runs outside and jumps on the hood of their car and punched the windshield. They got away. Lucky for them. They were so maniacal over E that they can even be spotted in the audience at the 68 Comeback Special. 😳 TCB ⚡️
I’m a huge Elvis fan watching in San Diego. We went to Graceland for 3 days on our honeymoon, way back in 1993. What I enjoy watching your classic videos of the King, is the time period you are discussing. Like this video takes us back to June 1973, & I remember where I was living, working & how close I came to attending an Elvis concert. Oh man, if we could just turn the clock back!
This is My Own Personal Opinion...he moved more in his live concerts bc of the Energy going out to us, and us sending it back to him. It was So Electric you could almost See It, but we certainly Felt It!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Elvis was in the hospital for a twisted colon in the early '70s. Red West and Elvis talked about it on Red's secret recording. Elvis said he was on a liquid diet for 20 straight days, if that didn't work, they were going to have to do surgery. I think Elvis slowed down after that and didn't move around so much for health reasons. I think you have a wonderful channel and Iu have learned a lot, thanks to you. God bless.
Wow!! This is amazing. I love watching him really get into it. He always says he couldn’t really dance without choreography but his footwork is not that of someone who can’t dance. Rhythm is all you need and he had it. ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely, man. Great footage of EP doing his signature moves. We would love to see every bit of footage of live performances that are captured by the fans, especially if they show him letting loose. With the Aloha event, he was advised not to do "his thing" so that was disappointing for people who tuned in to see his entertaining moves.
Aloha was broadcast live! around the World. Unrivalled to this day. Pressure beyond any of our imagination. His vocal and image that night was at stack. He had to concentrate on cameras and his voice.
1973 is always so interesting. Great video highlighting it. I'm wondering if perhaps his lack of movement at the Aloha show was more to do with the broadcast of the show itself. Being the first live world broadcast, needing exact camera angles easily edited for a TV special, maybe he was told to focus on the timing of the songs to fit everything into the show, especially with such little time to rehearse and not offering any significant new material. Whereas the '68 special was filmed months in advance and Elvis could plot out what he wanted and just be himself. Fast forward to April-July 1973, he was riding high (no pun intended lol!) with the US version of the Aloha show debuting in April, a #1 album, top 20 hit, and heavy radio airplay. It feels like a last burst of career magic translating into a looser, more energetic stage presence. As we all know it hit a wall in August-October with Vegas, the impending divorce, and giving up all the royalties to pay it off. We can only imagine how hard of a time this was for him after such an amazing first part of the year.
Perfect! Nor can we forget that Elvis would do anything to avoid a fall on an internationally broadcast live special. If it had taken place on a regular show, he might have ended up making jokes about it right after.
HI THERE 👋. Yes , I agree with you regarding the " ALOHA CONCERT ". I also think " that so called Col Tom Parker " had alot to do with " how " OUR ELVIS" SHOULD MOVE, TALK ETC ,AS IT WAS BEING BEEMED AROUND THE WHOLE WORLD 🌎, ALONG WITH WHAT YOU HAD MENTIONED. ALSO I THINK, AND OR KNOW " OUR ELVIS" WAS ALWAYS NERVOUS , WELL WE HAVE HEARD "OUR ELVIS" SAY HE WAS NERVOUS, AND HE ALWAYS WANTED TO PLEASE HIS FANS,,, GOD BLESS 🙌 OUR ELVIS!!!. ANYWAYS, THAT IS JUST A LIL OF WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE ALOHA CONCERT. ( MY OPINION ONLY). LOVED READING YOUR COMMENT. WELL SAID, MY ELVIS FAN FRIEND. TC ALWAYS. Regards Jessicah. ELVIS ❤️ IS THE " GOAT " , AND WILL NEVER, EVER BE SURPASSED !!!!!!.
Elvis mial wyczucie smaku, gust, styl, miał piekne kostiumy, nie potrzebowal na scenie😂tancerzy, szumu, on miał tak wielka charyzmę, że jego glos ,jego osoba wystarczała za wszystko.KING❤
SO VERY TRUE, AND WELL SAID!!!!.🎉 OUR ELVIS, WAS ,AND STILL IS THE " WHOLE PACKAGE ". NOBODY WILL EVER SURPASS " OUR ELVIS ". Tc always please. Regards Jessicah
The 1973 tour and his show aloha from Hawaii was the best he looked in great shape and he had a nice tan ❤and his singing was rust great 😅out of all his performances I have seen this one was the greatest he look and sang so great ❤😅
There's an older vid that you did about Elvis' 70's dance moves where you showed a lot of the Baltimore and other 1971 concerts and he was absolutely on fire. That was a great video showcasing Elvis' best 70's moves especially with the shoulder rolls during Tiger Man and the running knee drops on Suspicious Minds. Great great video.
@@ElvisistheMan_ You should. Elvis in the concerts in that vid was even more energetic then he was in the TTWIT documentary footage (especially the black suited Baltimore stuff. What a legendary concert that was. If you remember the HBO doc "Elvis the searcher" that's the concert review that was quoted during the 70's concert years in that doc) and he kicked ass in that.
I thought he moved well. Especially his upper body. In 72/73 he never really “ danced” he’d do his karate moves & stuff like that. But he moved when he 1st started. Ya know…..Elvis the Pelvis As he grew he moved away from that. Aloha Ws his greatest moment. Greatest concert, sounded the best, just amazing.
Think about this: Aloha was like ”Live Aid” in 1985, but there almost all of the world’s biggest stars were there to share the massive load of performing to the world. Elvis did that himself ALONE, what it took all these stars to do 12 years later…😲 He carried that broadcast to the world on his shoulders. 🤯 ELVIS=many of the biggest stars and bands in 1985, COMBINED! THAT was the level of stardom that he was at… The Greatest Of All Times! How can ANYONE deny that if you consider this? He undeniably is. My other point is that he was very nervous and absolutely didn’t want to make any mistakes that would be recorded for all eternity (because it was such an event) and be embarrassing, so he focused on his singing as probably he was a little low in energy due to dieting to get in shape for the show.
One of the reasons I love your channel is that you recognize and discuss the nuances of Elvis' performances vocally and physically. I think it's a fascinating topic from 1956 all the way until the end. Like, you I've always been annoyed by Aloha for those reasons. Great vocals, but he just stands there or walks around. Like you, I believe THIS is the real Elvis. Even to the very end, he moved his body even when it was difficult because of his health issues. As you know, watch Hound Dog from his last tour. He's shaking his legs, hips and delivering that classic shoulder shake like he did from his very first TV appearances on the Dorsey Brothers Stage Show, through the 50's, through Rocka Hula & Viva Las Vegas in the 60's, through TTWII (Suspicious Minds in particular). It's one of the reasons TTWII is my first go to when I want to show people the real Elvis. Yes, people need to see the "real" Elvis.
Yeah man I agree. When I saw people Elvis, Aloha (other than power ballads) would be the last footage I’d show non fans. The more energized he was the better. Glad u like the channel 👍🏻
Aloha was a total different type of concert. He didn't move a lot but I think he was more interested in giving a extraordinary vocal performance than moving or fooling around with the band, because it a was worldwide show. This is my opinion.
@@MrRacket991 are you serious?😮 I totally disagree.... An American Trilogy, My Way, It's Over were superb in their Aloha versions. We have different terms on judgment, sorry 😂
According to Professional Elvis Educator, I forgot his name..🤦🏼♀️ his channel here is Rare Elvis Photos, E overdosed on THIS day. That why he seems so off.😢 TCB ⚡️
I think it's great footage of Elvis, as you said he looked very energetic, in good mood and in good shape. Not knowing the English language well, unfortunately I am not always able to express my thoughts as I would like. Anyhow, I want to congratulate you and thank you for your very accurate reviews that allow me to understand and notice things that I often hadn't noticed before. You know, I'm "in love" with Elvis anyway and anytime but that sometimes prevents me from "seeing". Bye
I read that after his overdose ( I think there were 3 in 73) he was in hospital and got off drugs again and felt good for awhile. Unfortunately he didn't stay off the drugs for too long but it made a difference. I often wondered why he was so subdued in the Aloha Concert. Thanks for Awesome footage ❤
First, it could have been simple as he’s was getting older as the yrs went by. Compare the 50,s 60,’s & 70’s. One feels different at 25, 30, 35, 38 etc. plus they had stated when he went crazy with all the early dancing he sustained some injuries. I feel as far as the Aloha Special, they had told him to lose 25 lbs and get off the drugs. Technically his voice was so phenomenal during that, but I’m not sure after the strict diet & drug withdrawal he may have just lacked the energy to dance a lot. Linda stated after the Special he just immediately took the drugs again & was out of it on his balcony when his buddies came up to congratulate him and were going to celebrate. As for later yrs, he was off and on. After visits to the Hospital he’d get his Intestines cleared out and get down off the drugs and he’d be so great for a good many months. His friends and relationships stated he felt better, looked better, had more energy and seemed like his old self. By 1975, he was 40 & your body isn’t as agile as 30’s etc. Especially with all the abuse it took with his dancing, continuous concerts , poor diet and increased drug use. There were phenomenally great concerts & not so great by 76 & 77. Bruce Springsteen, who loved & was inspired by Elvis went to see him in 76 & he was so excited, but when he came out & was asked about it, he just shook his head sadly & said he was so disappointed. Yet he never stopped admiring him and sticking up for him. His close people around him knew what was going on but I guessed he’d last forever. As a Nurse, everyone’s bodies take hits and the older we get, the harder the hits affect us. He was so courageous, lovable to his fans that he never wanted to disappoint them. I wish he had at times to become healthily & perhaps we’d have had him longer. But only God knows that answer. I’m happy we had such a God given talented unique, iconic and beautiful man to love, honor and show people that one can become the most famous man in the world & still be humble, generous and loving to people in general. We’ll never know the likes of someone like him again. I for one still miss him to this day. Sorry this was so long David, but he was human, just a man who pushed his limits sometimes and at such a young man may have paid the ultimate price. We ❤you Elvis. Always have. ❤😊Always will. 😢❤️🎸🎸🕺🏻🕺🏻🎤🌹🌹🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
His movements were beautiful, precise and choreographed. Elvis was "the complete package"😄In his last shows, he was divine dancing "jailhouse rock", perfect! I love Elvis ❤️🩷
Aloha was Elvis’ Greatest concert in his life. It was perfect, Perfect performance. Elvis moves as songs are ending. Not during. He will do his karate moves & or just a big movement at the end of a song to end it. When he was young he’d dance. But as he got older he never really “danced” he walk around, go to the crowd etc. as I’ve said before. Every song from that concert imo is his best of each songs rendition. He sang absolutely perfect. Lot of power, feeling, just Awesome. No other concert I’ve seen, does it justice compared to Aloha. For example my fav is American Trilogy. At any other concert, it wasn’t close to how he sang it for aloha. Now I’m reminiscing & he moved a lot during Aloha. Lot of upper body movement. But if it was a “sad” song like it’s over & what now my love he was a bit more still. Just every song was perfect. You gave me a mountain was awesome. My way, just them all. Spot on w/a lot of movement. You need to rewatch that. Lots of upper body movements/flair, in that concert. You have to remember it also depended on what he was on. If it was a lot of speed, he’d be more energetic. 👍🤷♂️
I can't remember where I heard this, but I did hear that Elvis was told to tone it down for the Aloha show so as not to offend some people in other countries.
He was the best of everything voice moves humen beeing he have some faults but we all have ones or more that is what make us humens but he would gave everything cells to his family friends and fans that is because he was and is still the only one respect love and nobody can ever match him❤❤❤🙏💯⚡️⚡️
Yes, me too. A few people who have unlimited money to buy all these videos and keep it to themselves until THEY are ready to onsell it to fans who are just as entitled to see it as rich people.
This is amazing David. Elvis felt the rhythm and as the greatest body mover ever..he cut loose and was really rockin, rockin and rollin here. Looks to me like he was dancing free style and Lord knows no one could ever do it better. Thank you for sharing David. I love it !
Pretty amazing. I've never seen Elvis move like that. AGAIN testament to how one can NEVER learn ALL there is to know about Elvis. Kind of reminds me of James Brown or (wait for it) MC Hammer side dance/move. Just amazing.
Thanks for sharing, imagine if we had today's technology in the 70s let alone the 50s. DJ Fontana said in one of the shows he went from one end of stage to the other before they knew where he was.
Great video and much food for thought David. My take on it having not thought about it before is a) the suit was much heavier and more restrictive in the Aloha Special b) the broadcast was going to different cultures and that is why no religious numbers were included and b1 the moves softened c) he was doing this move in Polk Salad Annie Pittsburgh New Year 1976 so it may have been a conscious decision. Lastly what would go down well is a best of DVD sold out clips with the longest and clearest steady footage like Houston November 71 as the prices over 20 volumes are high in these difficult times.
Hi David I'm Elvis fan since 1972 watch all of Elvis movies and his 1973 Aloha from Hawaii via satellite ,Elvis in his movies he did a lot of moves this is how I reckonnise Elvis by the moves ,And ye I notice the 1973 via satellite concert he just walks around singing I thinking maybe he thinks he's to age to be move'n his body and together nerves have'n the hole world looking on at ya "Maybe" . See here in Sydney Australia ever since Anolog got taken of we don't see much of any of Elvises movies no more God knows : and no repeats of his via satellite concert on t.v ,Ye I know I can watch on RUclips but love to see on t.v also. All I could think of why Elvis didn't move as much on the stage the 1973 via satellite could be due to his age and nerves . Thank you David for another interesting vedio that is very interesting in why he wasn't using his moves in some of his stage shows . Thanks from Sydney Australia here Friday 14th July 2023 90clock at night here ❤
One of the reasons that I rarely watch the "Aloha" special is because of how willfully reserved Elvis was. The audience footage will always be my favorite Elvis videos to watch because it was Elvis in his natural, unreserved element.
Great reaction. Elvis at his best is Elvis at his most joyous. I believe he was intentionally held back in both On Tour and Aloha - though it may have also been a reflection of how he felt at the time. At least for Aloha, I believe that the producer actually had wanted him dancing around more.
Hi David ♥ I loved this video. Lots of different styles of his dancing 🎶 I love to see any dancing that Elvis does. This was great!!!! Thank you David xxx 💝
I have heard that Elvis curtailed his normal dance activity on the Aloha concert as he didn't want to risk stumbling and being live around the world ( except USA).. it was important to him that he'd be remembered for his vocal talents rather than stumbling over. Sadly if that occurred that would be how the concert would have been remembered. Love your work.
Yeah that was fantastic energy for 1973! It would have been great if he did that on the Aloha show! Great footage David! Never saw that before. Wow! There might have been more great nights like that, that we just don't know about! I bet he had some great energetic performances that just weren't caught on film. I'd like to think that there was a few maybe. This is a great topic David! I never really thought too much about it before in detail. I love it!!

He literally went into the air with his kicks at MSG. I know they videoed him. I saw two professional cameras, one on each side of the stage. Where is it?
I think with the Aloha special he contained himself because it was being seen all over the world. I think it was to keep his hair from being a total mess like it would get normally. I personally don't think anyone would have cared how messed up his hair got. Like the movies he would jump in a pool and come out with perfectly combed hair. He was just keeping up the image. But that's just my opinion.
I saw Elvis in concert March of 74 in Monroe LA and he put on pretty much the same quality show as Aloha. He looked incredible, sounded incredible and in my opinion was not doped up in any way that affected his performance.
Thanks for making this video and talking about Peter Schmidt. I want him to know that we absolutely love the work he is doing and really appreciate him, I hate to think that some fans have upset him by emailing him nasty things because he doesnt instantly release all of his lifes work.
Don’t wanna sound contentious, but if I could personally have my “d’rathers,” E.I. C., June 21, 1977 is a superior show to ‘Aloha, in being that he appeared much more musically and vocally engaged, as with the audience as well. I’m a lifelong fan and will defend him to the grave, but I’ve always felt Aloha as compared to other landmark shows was somewhat stilted. Not that it was bad; in June ‘77, he was playing guitar with the band, and piano on ‘Unchained.’ It just felt very authentic, as if he were inviting us into his living room- kinda like Aug. 1970. He was musically, rhythmically and vocally engaging. He may well have been physically and even emotionally suffering, but had more charisma and presence than most folks performing on a good day!! I definitely see your point.🙂🎸🎹
From what I’ve read he was just off a “starvation” diet for Aloha and it was amazing he preformed as well as he did. He had no energy and collapsed afterwards.
I’m thinking that his karate training changed how he moved, after the military he never moved the same way he did in the 50s. Or he had to tone things down with a new image after the outrage. Probably a combination.
Wow, that is the first time I have seen Elvis on the Steve Allen show. I wondered why he didn't move around very much at the Aloha concert. I thought he intentionally performed that way because it was such a huge concert and he thought it was better to be more conservative in his movements. Interesting.
I agree with this post, I am guessing he felt it was more important to show off his wonderful voice to the world, which he did, rather than moving energetically. Although he was so xexy when he sang Fever. Just the slightest twitch was enough to set off the audience❤❤❤
@ElvisistheMan_ I haven't watched them yet so can't comment on the quality but they're taken from 8mm footage so i don't expect it to be great, but will take what I can get for now!
Hey David, few things. I became aware of these issues you mention with Peter Schmidt about two years ago. A spat developed that spilt online when it was announced Pyramid was going to be selling these traded clips. I understand Peter's perspective from the POV that he paid a tremendous amount to buy the footage with the intent to restore over time however, as we'd all realise. It comes down to what water tight agreements you had with people you've traded with, what did Peter benefit from the trades. Digital footage is incredibly difficult to prevent from being copied. Enough of that, onto to Aloha. Now I recall reading, I think in the Memphis Mafia book that Elvis was told expressly to keep his stage movements to a minimum for those shows. I just can't recall the reason. The satellite was very expensive to book for that complete hour period, was it because he needed to get a certain amount of songs out in that hour or was it due to the latency on the satellite feed where it was stated the show was going out live. So I think you'll find Elvis deliberately didn't move too much in that show. I've seen it said that he appeared listless and his energy levels low, some have stated it was due to the 500 calorie per day diet he put himself on before hand where he apparently lost about 20lbs of weight. He obviously looked fantastic for that show, clearly had dropped weight when you look at him in November footage. Great video man.
Thanks bro I’m happy you liked it. I wish there was a way to make all collectors happy. I think Peter is a good guy and I understand where he is coming from. I’ve read all the bodyguard books and never heard about him being told about not moving because of the satellite 📡 Whatever the reason was (even song requirements) I think people were dissatisfied with Elvis not moving like he’s known for. It sort of made him appear over the hill compared to his contemporaries that were wild.. (hendrix, Page, Rolling Stone, even Tom Jones…) So, I think Elvis made the wrong decision for what ever reason he had. Even if he didn’t feel like it. Just my opinion.
I saw Elvis in August of 1973 in Vegas and he surely moved well in that concert. I think he never fully felt at ease knowing there was a camera on him. I think he was afraid of giving offense with his moves in Aloha, with a worldwide audience. Most of his concerts he really moved.
Most people find it difficult to dance and sing at the same time... but not Elvis.❤
Its usually harder to play an instrument & sing at the same time

Aloha was broadcast live! around the World. Unrivalled to this day. Pressure beyond any of our imagination. His vocal and image that night was at stack. He had to concentrate on cameras and his voice.
I wish more people could see this. It just shows that Elvis did not roll over and die after 1973.
he did nearly die three times in 1973 dude
@@whitleybayman123 but he didn’t die
@rubyeanes8370 come on. Elvis died at the End of Aloha. He was never the same and overdosed regularly and gave some terrible shows
That’s what I said, there was so much more.
Almost exactly what I was going to say.
Perfectly said and I agree that the lack of movement in Aloha had a ton to do with it being broadcast live.

Yeah man I should repost that.
I love to see these clips of Elvis moving and dancing. Yes in Aloha he did not move too much. Love the footage! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
He may of been hurting. When you can’t go to the bathroom it is so miserable.
I think he had a lot on his mind, and maybe he was in pain.
Think about this:
Aloha was like ”Live Aid” in 1985, but there almost all of the world’s biggest stars were there to share the massive load of performing to the world.
Elvis did that himself ALONE, what it took all these stars to do 12 years later…😲
He carried that broadcast to the world on his shoulders. 🤯
ELVIS=many of the biggest stars and bands in 1985, COMBINED!
It's really cute to see your facial expressions when you look at Elvis stuff on your smartphone. You can see your true love for him.
Right on!
Elvis’ last concert in June 77 before he died was still dancing like that moving both legs. I believe during him singing jailhouse rock
Yeah good point, but I’m talking about him rocking back and forth. In 77, jailhouse rock for instance, his feet never left the ground.
Wow, that was soo cool man. I luv to see Elvis dance. Id love to see him do more dancing... Thank u for sharing....❤
When I saw Elvis in 1974, in March he Moved!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Nice!
On Aloha, I wondered if he had a sore back.
Love all of Elvis,a flavors
Elvis was worn out at aloha from that 500 calare a day diat from a big fan of your chanle love it!!!!
Aloha was a total different type of concert. He didn't move a lot but I think he was more interested in giving a extraordinary vocal performance than moving or fooling around with the band, because it a was worldwide show. This is my opinion.
Agree 100%
Extraordinary vocal performance? The voice was a shell of what it was just a few years earlier, weak, wavering.
@@MrRacket991 are you serious?😮 I totally disagree.... An American Trilogy, My Way, It's Over were superb in their Aloha versions. We have different terms on judgment, sorry 😂
Wonderful footage!!!❤
It sure is
According to Professional Elvis Educator, I forgot his name..🤦🏼♀️ his channel here is Rare Elvis Photos, E overdosed on THIS day.
Bye
I appreciate that and glad you are learning new things 👍🏻
In Aloha he was appeasing an audience of millions worldwide.
Incredible footage! I think later on he toned it down due to his declining health. He would dance more when he felt better.
I think 74-77 he didn’t move as much because of his health.
@@ElvisistheMan_ True.
Being 43 myself I definitely move differently when I dance than my early 20's.
Great points about the moves!
Can not get enough of Elvis!
What a mover! Great footage, thanks for sharing 😄👍 🕺
!!!
I can't remember where I heard this, but I did hear that Elvis was told to tone it down for the Aloha show so as not to offend some people in other countries.
Bad idea in my opinion.
@@ElvisistheMan_ I agree, but that voice!
@MrHarryreed Great I agree!
What other countries? Elvis became a superstar because he was offensive, at one time.
He was the best of everything voice moves humen beeing he have some faults but we all have ones or more that is what make us humens but he would gave everything cells to his family friends and fans that is because he was and is still the only one respect love and nobody can ever match him❤❤❤🙏💯⚡️⚡️
Love it thank you for sharing. I would definitely like to see more
When I think how much material there's around about him from the seventies and we rarely have seen it, I get mad ..😢😮💨
I love it !
I agree with you. Elvis was great when he moved and did karate on stage. Always entertaining.
I love Elvis...thanks for the video's...
Wow he sure was enjoying himself on stage lucky audience
Sure was.
He did a little bit of that dance in the 1977 concert. His last one. He was slower though. 🙏 Thank you for sharing and for your efforts 💕🙏
Oh! WOW WOW! I LOVE HIM HERE, HE LOOKED HOOD TOO. I'M SO HAPPY!
I will buy anything I don't already have from Elvis Presley forever ♥. David you are awesome, really and thank you so much ❤. Rose
You're very welcome!
I just love how you love Elvis as much as us older folks! Enjoy your channel and always look forward to the next video.
I’m glad!
You take care and God bless
Thanks from Sydney Australia here Friday 14th July 2023 90clock at night here ❤
Thank you so much! I love your channel 🤍
I’m glad, thanks for letting me know!
I love all you thank you
VERY cool....Definetly leaves you wanting MORE !!!
Hi David ♥
I loved this video.
Yeah I want the young Elvis back in film
Yeah that was fantastic energy for 1973! It would have been great if he did that on the Aloha show! Great footage David! Never saw that before. Wow! There might have been more great nights like that, that we just don't know about! I bet he had some great energetic performances that just weren't caught on film. I'd like to think that there was a few maybe. This is a great topic David! I never really thought too much about it before in detail. I love it!!
I loved it Dave I really did
Glad to hear!

Elvis definitely had moves.
He literally went into the air with his kicks at MSG. I know they videoed him. I saw two professional cameras, one on each side of the stage. Where is it?
Yeah but the cameras weren’t “manned.” So he wasn’t recorded. There is some news footage of him in the Adonis suit tho.
@@ElvisistheMan_Weren't manned? You know, I can't remember, now that you said it. There were so many people up front.
Keep up the great work
Thanks, will do!
Great footage, never watched this before. Thankyou
Top Notch episode pal. Thanks.
Thanks I appreciate it and glad u liked it.
Wow, thanks for uploading this piece of film. Elvis is indeed fleet of feet during this concert!
I was glad to see the 50 years with Austin
You are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing.
This is so amazing to see...I love it all thank you sooo much...fans can never get 🎶 too much🎵 Elvis!!❤
From what I’ve read he was just off a “starvation” diet for Aloha and it was amazing he preformed as well as he did. He had no energy and collapsed afterwards.
He collapsed afterwards because he got high lol. But yeah it was a starvation diet that’s for sure.
I’m thinking that his karate training changed how he moved, after the military he never moved the same way he did in the 50s. Or he had to tone things down with a new image after the outrage. Probably a combination.
I think the same way.
Awesome thank you for sharing it with us. There will be never an other like Elvis.
No doubt!
I think simply, Elvis knew when he was being filmed and he became more self-conscious as a result.
Love seeing your videos
I’m glad
David thanks and awesome shirt. Appreciate you 🙏 💙. Rose
Wow, that is the first time I have seen Elvis on the Steve Allen show. I wondered why he didn't move around very much at the Aloha concert. I thought he intentionally performed that way because it was such a huge concert and he thought it was better to be more conservative in his movements. Interesting.
Those moves remind me of the 60's. What a shame he was not up to it in Aloha!
I know!!
Remember, for Aloha, elvis said he wanted to concentrate on the vocals for the world wide broadcast
I agree with this post, I am guessing he felt it was more important to show off his wonderful voice to the world, which he did, rather than moving energetically. Although he was so xexy when he sang Fever. Just the slightest twitch was enough to set off the audience❤❤❤

Loved it! Ive recently purchased 2 Sold Out Volumes, i think vol 1 and 18! Now i cant wait to watch them and purchasing more of them! Ty
Yeah I want to buy some, and I the future buy them again once they come out in better quality 🤣
Thanks love that awesome footage love to be able to see the. Thanks
