Illumina Genomics 101: In the Classroom @ Chase Elementary

Description: Illumina employees visited 3rd graders at Chase Elementary in the Cajon Valley Union School District of San Diego, CA. Employees shared about the basics of genomics and showed students ways we can see genetic variations in the world around us. In the hands- on portion of the session, students were able to extract DNA from their own cheeks cells in a hands-on experiment and dress up like a scientist.
